Cardinal Ratzinger: We Have Not Published the Whole Third Secret of Fatima

Discussion in 'The Signs of the Times' started by BrianK, May 15, 2016.

  1. Again, there ARE those who have read the complete 3rd secret and have compared it to the last message of Akita....C. Ratzinger for one. And then there is the similar type of description given, in general, by JPII. Malachi Martin, another, who also connected the incoming system bringing great disasters with it, as what is to be expected!

How can the whole of the 3rd secret have been released?

Howard Dee, former Philippine ambassador to the Vatican, stated that “Cardinal Ratzinger personally confirmed to me that these two messages, of Fatima and Akita, are essentially the same.” (Inside the Vatican magazine, 1998)

Akita says fire falls from the sky
“If men do not repent and better themselves, the Father will inflict a terrible punishment on all humanity. It will be a punishment greater than the deluge, such as one will never have seen before. Fire will fall from the sky and will wipe out a great part of humanity, the good as well as the bad, sparing neither priests nor faithful. The survivors will find themselves so desolate that they will envy the dead.

Where in the released 3rd secret is there fire falling from the sky or a chastisement?

Akita says there will be a crisis of faith within the Church
“The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see Cardinals opposing Cardinals, Bishops against other Bishops. The priests who venerate Me will be scorned and opposed by their confreres (other priests). Churches and altars will be sacked. The Church will be full of those who accept compromises, and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord.

Where in the released 3rd secret is there mention of a crisis of faith?

In an interview published in the 11 November 1984 edition of Jesus Magazine, Cardinal Ratzinger acknowledged that he had read the Third Secret, and stated in part that the Third Secret involves the "importance of the novissimi", and "dangers threatening the faith and the life of the Christian and therefore (the life) of the world.

The late Father Malachi Martin stated in his last interview on the Art Bell Show (1998) that there was something ghastly and horrifying in the Third Secret of Fatima. It is not the annihilation of nations, nuclear war or the bloody persecution of the Church. It is something much worse.

I have to say that I'm happy Kevin made his recent contributions to the forum as, although I do not share his concern about the precise accuracy of some translated text, I had not previously paid much attention to the contents of the recently published biography of Sr Lucia from the Sisters of Coimbra. It is unfortunate that the publishers and distributors of the book seem to have a lower profile on the internet than the group associated with Fr Gruner. The latter group have certainly brought forcefully forward the problems associated with the Vatican's presentation of the Third Secret but I do believe they have gone too far on speculative matters.

After reflecting a bit on the new biography and what to me is its 'explosive' content, I agree with Ferrara, Salza, Socci etc on the main details about the existence of two documents relating to the Third Secret but I do not accept their speculative 'follow ups'. It seems to me very likely that Sister Lucia did indeed write a second letter about Our Lady's interpretation of the Secret but that neither Lucia (nor Our Lady) requested it to be published.

When you say 'Gone too far', Do you mean they have gone too far thinking the Blessed Virgin may actually have finished this...''In Portugal ...''etc ?

No, Mac. I'm reasonably convinced that Sister Lucia did indeed write down Our Lady's interpretation of the vision but difficulties arise when the content of that interpretation is discussed. The Coimbra book has opened up for me the whole matter of the Third Secret again and I need to read all the comments that have been made, from all parties, on the new book and the revelations within it. In a way, the book has made it easier for me to understand why Pope John Paul and Cardinal Ratzinger 'revealed' the Third Secret in the way they did.

After spending some time trying to get up to date with the developments surrounding the recent publication of Sr Lucia's biography, I would just like to provide this link to an index page of articles on this topic and more by Christopher Ferrara and others: http://www.fatimaperspectives.com/ts/tocts.asp I have found the recent articles very helpful and direct.

I do find Mr Ferrara thorough and fair although I do not agree with his somewhat 'aggressive' approach to some matters! I do understand his exasperation with the way the Vatican has treated the whole matter of the Third Secret but that exasperation has, I believe, led him to make faulty judgements on wider issues. I believe Fr Gruner was similarly being led into error through similar frustrations. I think journalist Antonio Socci is also being tempted the same way despite earlier distancing himself from the 'Fatimists' (as he called them) in his book, the Fourth Secret of Fatima.

    Update.

Fr Dollinger will not pursue Rome.
He has not backed down either.Rather, being obedient.

Originally, we intended to collaborate to write a little more about the questions regarding Fatima left unanswered following the response attributed to Pope Benedict. After the Vatican’s forceful denial of his story, however, Dr. Dollinger said the following, passed on to me in an e-mail from his secretary: “If Rome has denied it, then we have to be silent and not to defend ourselves.” As his secretary comments: “This is the typical and logical reaction of a faithful Son of the Church.”

Well I learnt a little about what a blessed priest he is from the article.

Fr Dollinger was a good friend of Padre Pio.
Even receiving a prophecy from him...Padre Pio one day also told Dr. Dollinger that Dr. Dollinger will have much to suffer when he comes to be in his high age.
Maybe Padre Pio saw you Kevin.

Nobody believes he made this up, especially when it is a consistent message with his reported quotes of over a dozen years ago.

  10. There are some mistakes in this story. I checked with a priest from Anápolis, Brazil, who was a student of Fr. Dollinger in seminary, and there are some things need to be corrected:

    1. It was a mystic who said to Fr. Dollinger that the third secret mentioned a bad council and a bad mass. Ratzinger did not say that.

    2. Fr. Dollinger asked Ratzinger about this and Ratzinger just kept silent. Seems that the Cardinal was bound by oath not to speak about the subject.

    3. Dollinger asked another question: "Why did you not disclose the entire secret"? "–Because is too late", answered Ratzinger.

    4. Fr. Dollinger always said the Vatican 2 was from God.

So, we can infer that something is missing. But we can not deduce that third secret speak about a council and a bad mass.

In my personal opinion, I think Fr. Malachi Martin was not lying when spoke about the shit of paper 25 lines that he read given by Cardinal Augustin Bea. The part missing talks about apostasy.

    It could certainly be possible...

Why would the content of the third secret be clearer in 1960?

What did Sr Lucia say to the future Pope Pius XII that made him say this...I am worried by the Blessed Virgin’s messages to Lucy of Fatima. This persistence of Mary about the dangers which menace the Church is a divine warning against the suicide of altering the Faith, in Her liturgy, Her theology and Her soul…. I hear all around me innovators who wish to dismantle the Sacred Chapel, destroy the universal flame of the Church, reject her ornaments and make her feel remorse for her historical past.

"...Inextricably linked to the swinging 60s, free love and women's liberation, the pill, a combination of the hormones oestrogen and progestin, was developed in the US in the 1950s by the American biologist Dr Gregory Pincus.

It was approved for release in 1960 and take-up was swift: within two years it was being used by 1.2 million American women.

It was introduced in the UK on the NHS in 1961 for married women only - this lasted until 1967 - and is now taken by 3.5 million women in Britain between the ages of 16 and 49.

The pill comes in 32 different forms and worldwide is taken by around 100 million women.

Health scares have dogged the pill from the beginning, with reports in the US shortly after it was launched linking its use with blood clots, strokes, heart attacks and diabetes."

"1960 The first oral contraceptive, Enovid, was approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as contraception."

"By the end of their reproductive years, more than 80% of US women will have used oral contraceptives (OCs), for an average of about 5 years."

"The pill has had a dramatic impact on social life in the US, affecting women's health, fertility trends, laws and policies, religion, interpersonal relations, family roles, women's careers, gender relations, and premarital sexual practices. The emergence of the women's rights movement of the 1960s and 1970s was significantly related to the availability of the pill and the control over fertility it enabled. This capability allowed women to make choices about other life arenas, especially work."

"...The contraceptive pill is often described as one of the most significant medical advances of the 20th century."

I have always believed that Our Lady of Fatima was warning about a huge societal change that would alter the landscape of marriage and family life in such a way as to make it unrecognisable.

My mother in law can remember being at College in the US in 1960 and how her Lecturer got up in front of a lecture theatre full of students who were studying Home Economics, to announce to them that " The Pill" had arrived - and that from now on , "EVERYTHING will change."

Yeah. And the societal change is brought about by ...'Altering the Faith, in Her liturgy, Her theology and Her soul'

If I may ask: I have no issues at all with Sr Lucia or anything she said re 1960, etc. As I questioned several times here with no answer-I have an issue with the year 2000 answer from the church that the 3rd Secret in part had to do with the assisination attempt of JPII. HOW IS an assassination attempt of a Pope in the 1980's be CLEARER IN 1960???
    Thanks.

I'm sure it did. I'm a Garabandalist. So I have a good idea that Communism is "coming again" or is already here in the form of "terrorism." But that does NOT explain an assassination on a Pope in the 1980's being clearer in 1960????

I've had to withdraw from posting on the forum because of the tone and content of some of the criticisms of the Pope and clergy. But I've found this thread to be most interesting and the latest contribution from Mr Symonds just what I've been looking for with regard to the reported comments of Fr Dollinger.

I'm convinced of the claim that there is a text relating to the third secret that has not been revealed. Fr Dollinger's reported comments support that position but I have been very skeptical of the reported comments about a 'bad council'. I believe Mr Symonds article effectively blows out of the water those particular comments.

As I suspect Mac will not go to the trouble of reading Mr Symonds' article I will copy, here, the words of Sr Lucy from a letter of 1970 that he quotes in the article (highlighting is mine):

The simple remembrance of the mysteries in each decade is another radiance of light supporting the smoking torch in the souls. This is why the devil had moved against it such a great war. And the worst part is that he had deluded and deceived souls of great responsibility for their position. They are blind men leading blind men. They pretend to base in the Council and do not realize that the Holy Council ordered them to preserve all the practices that in the course of years had been fostered in honour of the Immaculate Virgin Mother of God. The prayer of the Rosary or five decades is one of the most important and according to the decrees of the Holy Council and the orders of the Holy Father one we must maintain.

Mr Symonds convincingly indicates the authenticity of the letter and its significance in showing that Sr Lucy was positive about Vatican II.
