Just reading a reflection from St Therese, it may be helpful loving Father Can I expect days flooded with sunshine and unbroken joy in your presence. There will be as much darkness as light, perhaps even more. All my desires, all my efforts, will be no substitute for the unrewarded faith that alone can uncover your presence on the darkest days I will have to come to you feeling no joy, dependant on what faith tells me is true. And a prayer from Therese; Come then Light of the World dwell with me in the land that is often so dark. Breach the wall which seems to reach to the very heavens shutting out the starry skies. Come then my loving Father you have blessed all my days
May the arms of our Lord surround you Josephite. Many prayers going up to fill you with the grace of our most Holy Trinity.
More prayers today, offering up mass! I don;t know if it helps any, but looking back on my life the times of greatest trials were my times of greatest growth. s an old Scotsman used to say, 'The Crosses we are handed and the way we handle them make us the people we are'.
I wanted to write something spectacular in reply to the wonderful responses that I have received from you exceptional prayer warriors. But I am at a loss and I am in awe at your response. Thank you all so much! Sam Padraig Waiting by the window Seagrace picadillo gracia, Sgcatholic, Pray4peace, deniseP, heyshepard Indy, Dolours AED, Indy, Allyd, BethB' RoryRory, DonD, Bernadette C, Mary Rose, Mary Kelly, Beth B, Marys child, Rosary Wilder, Padraig, And all those who have prayed without responding, I know you are there! Yesterday Morning I actually wondered why I felt somehow better when I got up to go to work! I thought "Dear Lord Jesus thank you, for I feel your presence and my body does not seem so worn out today". I then remembered I had asked for prayer from my MoG family the night before. I looked up the MoG site and saw the wonderful responses before I left for work. Be assured the Lord has heard your prayers! so thank you all again. I am living at my mums place and have been since the 21st April and I showed her your responses to my prayer request, she said "Oh Carolyn you have such good friends on this Catholic internet thing, it is good for you, and I am glad you have it" Mum is nearly 84 but a daily communicant and has had the rosary said at her place for all the parish (who are interested) for the last 30 years. She is my rock! My cross continues but your care has given me hope, thank you! Could I ask for your prayers for this coming Friday the 14 June, please especially pray for my dear son Jacob, my daughter Brodie but especially for my husband Michael who needs multiple graces for conversion, repentance, deliverance, temperance, change of heart, an infusion of love, empathy, tolerance and most every other grace to change his life. Thank you all again.
God bless you Carolyn for your beautiful post. I am so glad Jesus is answering our prayers for you. If course He would--we know that but just so glad for the confirmation. I have Brodie and Jacob and Michael in my "list" now and will include them. I'm glad you have a safe refuge with your wonderful mom. I am learning that no soul is won these days without a lot of suffering and struggle. I am blessed to have kind husband and children but so so far away from any need for God. It grieves me to the bone but I just keep trusting and praying. Your suffering is of a keener more anguished variety. Be assured the Blessed Mother is turning every sorrow into supernatural gold. It is always the most terrible before the break through of grace. You are literally wrestling the devil but you are not alone. You have as St Louis de Montfort says, "the just on earth, the Angel's and saints in heaven and the holy souls in purgatory" joined to your prayers and intercessions.Praying to St Michael for you right now.
I most definitely will! Our friends prayers really do work! I also printed out the morning offering to remind myself to pray it each day. These sufferings will be used for poor souls. Perhaps it is the reason we go though them...+++
Josephite, I was away for the weekend and just saw this. My heart goes out to you! May St. Elizabeth of the Trinity join all of us in continual prayer! Safe in this Company of Prayer Warriors!
Josephite, I just learned of your suffering and will join in praying for you and your family intentions. We are always here for you. God bless.
I will continue to pray for you and your family. Tonight as I approach the altar I will carry you and your family with me and mine. I will humbly approach with His Mercy as our salvation. God bless!
