Interesting articles lately that's a little under the radar. Could this be the coming apostacy foretold at many apparitions for our times? Almost as bad as this call to disobedience by the priests are the comments for the first article listed. I just stopped reading them and hope they are non-catholics making the comments.

Yes, many people have rejected the faith first in their hearts and then in their minds.

It is my understanding that many, many people are swayed by the popular media and the secular agenda and are incapable of thinking in a Christian way as they simply do not pray. There has been a spirit of rebellion unleashed in the world since the 1960s and its force is demonic and many have bought into a hedonistic culture.

If it was only Austria, but I think a lot of countries such as Holland are in a lot worse state and places like Germany and France are not far behind.

I read the retired Bishop of Derry, Bishop Daly launched a strong plea lately for the end of Clerical celibacy:

I was praying about this and I believe they are looking at things like celibacy in a human, organisational way. They are not looking at it from a spiritual perspective of the priest as Alter Christus, a sign of contradiction ..as one who is married to the Church. Frankly I don't think there is enough prayer.

The greatest sign for good and evil at the minute I look for in my fellow Catholics especially priests and Bishops is Devotion to Our Lady. If I see they have a Devotion to Our Lady I think to myself:

'All is well don't worry they are on the right track'. :D

But if I see them not being devoted I look for disobedience pride and rebellion the signs of the old dragon Satan

    Genesis 3:15
And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel."

I didn't realize that the priests were making such demands in so many countries. This Austrian situation seemed pretty formalized, as I'd imagine this doctrine was written down with what changes they wanted to see in the church. I guess when it moves from ideas on a document or book or quotes in an article to outright disobediant action, then we have moved to a new level. Pray, pray, pray.

Back in my fallen away days I too used to think that they should get rid of the celibacy rule. It is a raw human reaction to this higher calling to grace that, when looking at it from a purely human perspective, doesn't make sense and seems to be "too much" to ask of a person. Since those young, rebellious days, however, I have heard so many very holy priests talk about celibacy. Every one of them remark that people don't understand it and that it is a gift and a great grace for them. They say that if someone talks about removing the requirement, don't listen to them. Never once have I heard a truly devout priest say they opposed it. Therefore, if a priest opposses it,what does that say about him and his relationship with God, Mary, and his priesthood? Incidentally, every one of the priests I have heard talk about this are deeply devoted to Mary.
