I would say Cathy one thing I learned from these dreams is that my Faith is much less than the size of a mustard seed. I go to mass everyday, confession every week, I prayer without ceasing as Scripture asks and my heart seems to burn with love for God. You might think I have a strong Faith. Yet in these dreams I see that when I witness these events starting a part of me ,a very big part can not really take in what I see. I say I believe in angels and saints and Heaven and that God is Our Father, that our God is a Just God as well as a loving one. But from my reactions to these events I see n0ow how very,very small my Faith really has been. But I suspect most people will be the same, many in fact dying outright out of pure shock and terror. Did you ever watch videos of the saints like Padre Pio and others who may well have seen these events. I used to wonder at the sadness in their eyes , also the seriousness. I can understand a little now. We have time to prepare as you say, we really must use it. I feel a very,very deep pity for those who will witness these things with no Faith. Poor people it could unhinge ones reason. Also I feel such a pity for our poor , 'Progressive, Modern, liberal super kind , Understanding, tolerant ( of sin) Catholic sisters and brothers,, their hearts are just not ready for this. I hope they can take it all in in such a short space. It may be far,far, far too much for them too. The Day of the Lord.
Sounds like you are doing everything right,..Maybe God grants us the grace at the time when we will need it,..maybe not so much so in dreams I think if we are doing all that we can to prepare, we should be ok, God will not only grant us the grace but that extra needed grace for those who will be in need of spiritual direction
Thank God for His mercy for we deserve His justice. There is still time for our loved ones to convert and for us to become saints for that is the calling of the baptized. We must live very good lives, perform much penance and visit the Blessed Sacrament frequently.
what I'm hoping for Padraig, is some kind of wisdom/knowledge/awareness from the Holy Spirit when these events start to take place. After all, before the descent of the Holy Spirit, the apostles (except for John) ran for the hills in fear at the moment of Jesus' passion and death. They hid in fear after the crucifixion. It was not until after the descent of the Holy Spirit did they get knowledge, wisdom, and courage to complete their missions. Even after that though Peter needed a reminder when he was leaving a town and Jesus was walking into that town to be crucified again...and then Peter turned around and did God's will. So, for those of us trying to be apostles for these times...well, the original apostles had their mis-steps until the descent of the Holy Spirit. Perhaps the warning will be like that for us...and we'll react like Paul after he experienced his illumination? I hope so anyway. You are certainly doing everything right and I have a long way to go in terms of daily mass, weekly confession, etc.. Fasting is still a huge barrier for me and I know it's something I must do. Yeah those saints always looked stern...you are probably right that they had insight into these events we are about to get rocked with.
Our Lady said at Fatima that the 'war will soon end' (WWI) and it ended within 13 months, She predicted a second war, if people did not repent and it started 22 years later (but was clearly going to start from at the latest 20 years after She made the prophecy). So I share with you curiosity that events that were predicted to be coming 'soon' over 30 years ago seem, in our terms, late and I am certain that Our Lady knows how we use language. This gives me 'pause for thought' about some apparitions.

St. Mathew (24:30): "And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all tribes of the earth mourn" I wish I was, 'doing everything right', Cathy For if I where the thought of what is to come might not sadden me so much and frankly sometimes scare me. But what makes me more accepting is that we were created for one thing, 'To know, love and serve God'..as our Cathechism s taught, or in otherwords we are called to become saints. The world as it is at the minute draws people not to become saints but to run to hell. The world as these things unfold will draw us once again in the path to sainthood. I heard after the great economic collapse in Ireland Church attendance started to soar. I heard of one old Parish Priest on Christmas Eve who when he saw the crowd at mass started to cry in joy at the great return to the Faith. At work, for I cannot hide it, office people are the nosiest people in the world they know I lead a very active spiritual life. Now a very few people are touched by this, but the many of the rest see this as odd, strange, bizzarre or whatever. This concerns me because this should not be the reaction. It is as though we go to light a little camp fire with matches and the wood and kindling are just so wet no light can start it to burn. This because things are just so far gone. Only great events, a fire from heaven will change things. Change things so that peoples heart will take fire and they can become saints and great saints once again.... So the suffering, the pain , the agony are all worth it. For what good is complaceny if the peoples of the world walk blindly to hell in their serried ranks. Not only walk or run to hell but do so so sadly. There is so much real sadness about and so little joy. So God comes in Wrath to bring us Joy.
