I have no excessive belief in conspiracy thories. If something seems way out of place it is worth looking at. This is healthier than believing everything you are told on the MSM. Attacking me isn't going to change the evidence. And we are talking about evidence, 100% evidence only, not conspiracy. It's food for thought Dean, that is all. Saying it is almost exclusively what I post about is totally inaccurate and judgemental especially from a guy that has been a MOG member for 3 weeks. Attack the evidence with specifics before throwing rocks at me if you can, please. Only the weak minded attack the messanger instead of the message. And Dean, the "watch out for this guy" line becuase I posted something you disagree with is juvenile.

Two thousand four hundred architects and engineers are staking their very reputations on questioning 9/11 using pure expert science. But lets just call that a conspiracy instead of actually looking at the evidence they are presenting. Questioning anything we are told is is wrong, correct? Just skip over any of my posts you don't agree with if all you got in your bag of tricks is attacking me personally. Many people post about things I totally disagree with but I try to act Catholic (pretty sure we all are this) and skip over them instead of calling them idiots. It's the grown up way.

Maybe im wrong on this. After reading many posts on this topic the past few months. Some don't feel an urge to prep and others do. I believe everyone is praying over what should I do (my opinion) Maybe those who don't feel the need to prep will have little disturbance and those who feel called to prep may have majior outages...I don't know, im just pondering things, the whys and why nots
Follow your heart thru prayer, not emotion

I'm not by any means a big prepper or telling anyone that they should do it, but it seems common sense to me to have some things at the ready. Relying on God is wonderful, but what if Him giving you foreknowledge of what is coming is His way of helping you?

This past summer I went out and only spent about $200-$300 dollars on emergency supplies. Things that have no expiration dates. Water Filter, emergency tools, etc. I was astounded at the amount I could get for that. I used the dollar store and Wal-Mart as well as Dick's Sporting Goods. I will now be light years ahead of anyone else in the area if something happens.

If God told you that at some point in the future that water would not be drinkable, wouldn't you buy a filter? Or would you expect Him to perform a miracle and personally purify all of your water for you. I trust God, but I am also going to get that filter to help Him out and show Him I appreciate His warnings. An ounce of prevention...

Yes, if God gives you a warning, you should take heed of it. Maybe Infant is right about only some folk getting warnings. God definitely didn't tell me to stock up. Perhaps the warnings are only for people in the US, maybe even particular States.

I agree that it is prudent to be prepared for emergencies. Having lived in an area where the electricity transformer seemed to be the favourite target of every bolt of lightning, we keep a supply of torches together with a little picnic stove and a heater that work on bottled gas even though something must have been done about the transformer because we haven't had a power cut in ages. People I know who live in the hills keep generators for times when their power goes out or they are housebound in bad weather.

The thought of being stuck in a high rise building in a big city during some kind of emergency would scare me witless. I don't know how anyone could properly prepare for such an emergency. Even getting out of the city to reach contacts in the countryside would be beyond the capabilities of many people. It all sounds more like a disaster movie than a warning from God, but if the Almighty tells you to prepare, then be prepared.

What happens when your stocks run low and you don't have enough to share as more and more desperate folk show up on your doorstep? Do you turn them away? Ward them off with guns? Forage for food when even the rivers, fields and wild animals could be contaminated? I think I'd rather not survive to be faced with those choices.

A scary thought just popped into my mind. Maybe the people who aren't feeling any need to prep aren't going to need to because they won't be around anymore. We know that anywhere along the coastline is going to be totally wiped away. Maybe nukes also? Scary indeed.

Seems to me there are extremist muslims and peaceful muslims. You can't paint the entire religion based on the actions of some. There are 1.6 billion muslims on the planet and certainly they arn't all terrorists are they. I don't agree with islam at all. We all know it is in error. This doesn't mean all muslim people are evil or condemmed. Surely God knows their hearts and will judge accordingly. Can any of us control the families we were born into or decide how we are raised? If you read any of the koran it is often about peace, sadly it also has bipolar passages that are about hate. The worst to me is how they treat women and how they somehow can justify killing women who they claim insulted them or their family for whatever reason. It's pure evil. Talmud also includes some very worrying passages (especially those insulting our Savior and His Mother) that are the opposite of the 10 commandments. But as we know most are peaceful and follow the commandments as best as we all try to do.

Perhaps we should ask the 10% of Egyptian coptic Christians why they haven't all been killed or the 10,000 jews living in Iran. Clearly the abundance of non-violent action by muslims is apparent. Many of my wifes aunts, uncles and cousins have lived their whole lives in Egypt and are still there. The stories I've been told it's no picnic living with 90% muslims but they don't hide their faith or the crosses they wear either. So there are clearly millions of Muslims not killing or promoting killing anyone. Most people in civilized nations know killing is wrong whether there are laws against it or not. Are terrorists mostly just mentally unstable? Brainwashed? Are the conditions they live in and in some cases things the West has done inside the countires they dominate help to create more terrorists than there would have been? Sharia law is pure rasict/sexist nonsense from what i've read. I am not well versed how seriously it's applied by nations though. The principle of non-violent action must be somewhat opposed in the teachings of Islam or what are we doing aligning ourselves with Turkey and Saudia Arabia!!!??? Western governments let all morals disappear when it comes to business dealings which makes us (as countires) clearly supporting the very ideology we claim to be against. This is almost as evil in my view.

My reading of Islam is that a Muslim is likely to be violent in as much as he possesses true belief and commitment. Most Muslims, like most nominal Christians, don't really believe and/or practice their faith. For that much at least we can be grateful. It is prophesied that the bulk of Islam will be converted to Christ eventually. It is tempting to think that the less fundamentalist will lead the way, but what does the New Testament say about the lukewarm?

Building 7, a 47 story one, (not the twin towers) they say was wired to implode and that was the only way it could have collapsed into itself in 6 seconds. They say most people still think only 2 buildings collasped that day. Office fires never have nor ever will collapse a steel framed building, engineers know, this is all they do. If this is true and it was wired what does it mean in the bigger picture about what really happened that day. I don't care to start into it as it's a bit of a monster to takle in an online thread and I agree much of it is pure BS and many things we may never find out. My posts relating to stuff like this are simple asking, please do more research yourself if you don't believe me. You may choose to or not. I've have been over every bit of evidence and I simply can't accept things happened exactly as we were told re 9/11. Does this mean I subscribe to all the conspiracy thories around it? No!

If I take 2400 professionals, many of which are experts in the very field of steel framed buildings telling me something was impossible and on the other side a government saying an office fire caused vibrations and every single steel column failed at the exact same time I tend to side with the experts. (I even looked up numerous Candians on this list to see if they were real people and not just made up) Especially onces that have nothing to gain and everything to lose. They arn't being paid to take this stand. If I was an engineer I don't think I would want my name on that list.

I don't lose sleep over any of this, even if I am right (or wrong). If anything it makes my faith and reliance on God stronger. I totally understand many not wanting to even go there and hold no judgement. But the truth is important and should be for all. Why am I Catholic? Why do I believe in God, Jesus, His Mother, the Eucharist? Firstly it's a blessing and gift from God. By my very nature I should not be a believer. I never accepted just letting my parents or the church tell me what to believe. Turns out, they are telling the truth. Hallaluya! :) I have tested the faith in my own ways many times since my youth. The evidence, the miracles proving our faith true are overwhelming. I have walked out of the confessional with an almost supernatural resistance to sin. It not in my head it is divine protection and aligning with God's will. (and Mary's protection!) It can be felt. The more I dig into proving it true or false it always leads me to Jesus being the saviour, the truth, the light and the way.

It is amazing what an office fire can do!

It has been a long time since I read all the stuff about 9/11 being an inside job so my memory could be faulty.

As far as I can remember, nobody disputed that Saudi citizens flew the planes into the twin towers. The main argument hinged on the speed with which the towers collapsed. They maintained that there had to be explosives planted inside the buildings to cause the complete collapse. To bolster their argument, they said that the amount of explosives required couldn't have been brought into the buildings unnoticed because it would have taken many boxes of explosives. There was also a mention that George Bush's relative owned the towers' security company, so Bush must have been in on it.

Even if they are correct about explosives being required to bring down the buildings, all it would have taken were a small number of people working there because explosives can be concealed in all sorts of containers, for example toner cartridges for photocopiers. Office buildings that size would require massive amounts of supplies. Security companies wouldn't examine every single delivery to the various companies operating out of the buildings.

I remember when the Boston bombers were on the run, social media was full of photos of likely suspects. A big deal was made about a group of young men wearing "military" style clothes similar to the photo in your earlier post. What I saw were chino style trousers, which means that nearly every young man I see in summer is a potential terrorist in military style clothing. I have no doubt that the two brothers planted the bombs. Did they have an accomplice who switched backpacks with them? Possibly, but why bother? And why weren't the photos produced at the trial? It's also possible that pictures were photoshopped by conspiracy theorists.

The main flaw I see in the conspiracy theories for 9/11 and Boston is the number of people who would have been in on the plot to carry out the acts and then cover them up. Not even the CIA would take such a huge risk of a whistleblower exposing them carrying out such acts of terror on home soil.

Now we come to San Bernardino. A lawyer representing the killer's family actually said on CNN that the woman was lying face down on the ground with her hands cuffed behind her back. Although he didn't actually say the words, it wouldn't be hard for conspiracy theorists to say that she was shot after she had been arrested. Even CNN said that was patently wrong because there was footage of her being carried out of the vehicle. I will bet you a pound to a penny that in years to come a clip of that lawyer's comment will surface on conspiracy websites with allegations that San Bernardino was an inside job. They can even claim that an American lawyer said as much on American TV but it was all hushed up.

You need to be very careful when reading about conspiracy theories. For example, if I wanted to stir up hatred and suspicion among young Muslim men, feeding the narrative about Islam being under attack from the West and innocent Muslims being framed for terror attacks, I would run the CNN clip and would show the Boston photos.

I'm not saying that you are gullible to take these allegations seriously. I'm just saying be very sceptical about them.

Thanks for the well thought out responce. I pretty much have lost interest in even researching any of these things anymore. The difference in whether they are 100% true or not has almost zero effect on my life or the things I can control or change. I don't want to be lied to though or mislead. Whether the storm comes from Islamic terror or atheit governement agents or natural disaster doesn't really matter. My plan is to grown my faith and reliance and trust on Jesus through Mary. The big picture doesn't change that we are all brother and sisters in Christ. Discussing different world views is just something to do. It can be done civilly as you just proved, thank you. I enjoy discussing with people that don't see things the same way. It's how I learn and even if I disagree I always take something with me from it. Imagine if we all saw things and thought exacty the same way, how boring would that be. :)

The Truth can be hard to discern. In most cases we only know that It exists. Most of what poses as truth, whether history, scientific hypothesis or widely accepted current affair amounts mostly to speculation, opinion or hearsay. The only Truth we can really be sure of, as MMM rightly points out, is what has been Revealed to us.

Yes, trust in Jesus and His Blessed Mother. Our earthly lives are very short, no matter how they end.

I first came across the 9/11 conspiracy theory in a discussion where Muslims were swallowing it hook, line and sinker. Don't forget that those who push the theories are just as capable of manipulating facts as the people they accuse of doing the very same thing.

That's not to say that I don't believe that very small (small in comparison to the world's population) groups of people try and often succeed in manipulating and affecting the lives of the rest of us. I'm thinking of the rich and powerful travelling in their private jets to conferences that result in the rest of us being told we should be walking and riding bikes, and for our own good they are going to tax our cars off the road.

As Padre Pio said, pray hope and don't worry.

It amazes me that after all these years there are still conspiracy theorists "out there in La-La Land" that still think that 9/11 was a George Bush Op to ???!!!... do what .... exactly!?? Radical Muslim Terrorists had been trying to take down the Towers since 93 when they almost succeeded the 1st time! HullyGee!! Was that a Bill Clinton Op to deflect from all his scandals!!??
High rise buildings were never designed to absorb the force of 200, 000# airplanes, full of fuel, impacting at velocities of 350+ MPH. It's a wonder that they withstood as long as they did and the loss of life was not, thankfully much greater.
Time to concentrate on more pressing matters .... like all the current Muslim Terrorists-n-Iranian/North Korean agents-n-Drug Cartels that have, no doubt, infiltrated through the porous borders of the USA/EU. Plus 40+ years of anti-Christian PC and the moral/fiscal bankruptcy that envelopes The West! Yes!! Far more pressing matters than to dig up old Liberal Bush Derangement Idiocy ... it case Ya haven't heard!!?? Bush ended his presidency 7.3 years ago!

Very Sad ... VERY SCARY!! A starving country, with Nuclear Ties to Radical Islamic Nations, building the NUKE weapons/means to deliver them, lead by a lunatic and The West "lead" by dithering-n-weak PC Politicians who govern nations bankrupt in morals and economics..... Gee!! What could possibly go wrong!!??

  18. Oh dear....seems like "it's" in the very air we breath these days....everyone expects something beyond anyone's control. Don't expect any leader, without God's help, to make much of a change in anything. Now we're at the point that entire countries need to get on their knees with or without a clever leader.
