Bishop Mari Emmanuel Stabbed during Church service

Perhaps this event was God's design so that he would be better known worldwide from now on, as would his preaching.

Injured Bishop Mar Mari Emmanuel’s incredible act of forgiveness after stabbing incident at Western Sydney Church ...

On Tuesday, Councillor Steve Christou of Cumberland City Council, confirmed, following a question from Sunrise host Matt Doran, that the cleric had prayed for his attacker just after the incident.
Doran asked: “I heard in the moments after the attack this Bishop had the grace, the presence of mind to pray for this alleged attacker in the moment.” Christou said this was the case.
“That’s exactly true — it just shows the remarkable courage of a man and forgiveness he has within him to pray for his alleged attacker,” Christou said.
Christou said the Bishop was in a stable condition and called for calm in the community following the rioting which occurred after the incident when an angry mob descended on the church...
“I just call for calm, peace, show forgiveness. This is a time for the community to come together and let love, peace and unity over hate.”

The teenage boy accused of the stabbing attack is undergoing surgery after his finger was severed in the incident.

 

So powerful. These poor people in Gaza. Poor poor souls.

 

I read recently on 'The Catholic Thing' website of many ongoing, necessarily secret, conversions of Muslims in France. This good bishop's act of forgiveness will be a cause of conversion, also.

 

At least the Australian police are categorising this as terrorism.

 

When I watch the video of the recent stabbing, most are now stopping the video just before the stabbing starts .. but you can still hear the screaming. It's like a reminder about the Garabandal message about the Nights of the Screams:

"In spite of continuing to see the Virgin, (during the Nights of the Screams) we saw a great multitude of people who were suffering intensely and screaming in terror. Wonderful example of Christian forgiveness. Reminds me of St. John Paul II forgiveness in the jail cell of his word be assassin.

 

It hasn't even been a week, April 13-16, and now a third extremely violet attack in Australia. Melboure shoppers have been caught up in a terrifying and violent incident at a shopping centre in the city’s west when a fight broke out between teenagers allegedly armed with edged weapons. In a video of the incident, one of the boys appears to have an axe, while the other appears to be armed with a machete. They throw chairs as terrified shoppers watch on.

The video is horrifying to watch as the young teenagers fight & lunged at each other with their dangerous weapons.

These events are like the “birth pains” that will increase in both intensity and frequency as described in Matthew 24:4-7. They will increase in intensity, be getting stronger and stronger, and will increase in frequency, be getting closer and closer together. As these birth pains continue to happen, I believe Christians especially will be able to sense it's getting closer and closer, as the writer of Hebrews has told us – “Encourage one another and all the more as you see the day drawing near.” Hebrews 10:25

 

I wonder if the diabolical might be involved in this? I saw a photo of the boy who did this shortly after he was caught, he had the most insane scarey grin on his face

 

There was an old French priest who had his throat cut by another member of the Religion of Peace a couple of years ago. I was delighted to hear his Cause for canonisation is going forward for he is, of course, a martyr

 

I don't really mind people criticising the Church for we might learn things by this. But the hypocrisy of these critics who are terrified of Islam and so stay quiet is really annoying

 

The name Mar is the Portuguese and Spanish translation of the word sea, which is related to a Marian title linked to Carmel.

What I read was that the knife blade never opened so he was just being hit with the hilt of the blade. The Bishop has a new video out regarding this that I saw on Instagram and it is such a beautiful call to the muslim world and all others who are outside of beautiful Jesus. I will try to find it and post it here.

 

Have you read much about the Great Pope? I tried to find out a lot more about him down the years but there isn't very much, it's very sketchy.

I watched one of Mother Angelica 's old talks and thought again of what a great Evangelist and communicator she was. A real genius at what she did. A saint and mystic.

But then she became very ill and it looked to many she had failed but her suffering was her greatest moment.

The same with Fulton Sheen when he got kicked of TV because of a evil old Cardinsl whose nose was out of joint

But there sufferings were in fact their highest moments, better than all that went before.
