There are some 8000 verses in the New Testament. If we memorized 3 verses a day, we could memorize the Entire New Testament in a matter of 8 years. If we memorized 10 verses a day, we could know the entire NT by heart in less than 3 years! How many Bible verses do you know by heart? What are your favorite Bible Verses? [IMG]

One of my favorite passages in all Sacred Scriptures is Apostles St. John's Teaching in his First Epistle, viz 1 Jn 1:5-10:

"[5] And this is the declaration which we have heard from him, and declare unto you: That God is light, and in him there is no darkness.
[6] If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth.
[7] But if we walk in the light, as he also is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
[8] If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
[9] If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just, to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all iniquity.
[10] If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

I particularly love "He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us of all unrighteousness." I have had this memorized since my late 20's. Another one I love and pray often is the Last Gospel. "In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. ...through Him all things were made..."
So many beautiful scriptures to commit to memory. When I pray the Rosary i will often pray it by reciting scriptures that go with each bead. I've got the Joyful mysteries down. Working on the Sorrowful and Glorious. Almost there!
