I have been on this journey since August of 2024 so will be bible in 2 years ha ha but will get through it. There is so much gold in these daily podcasts and so many times I get blown away by something I had not heard before. I am sure others do as well and would love to hear some of the things you were blown away by too whether from this podcast or other things in scripture or tradition that blow your mind. Today, on day 314, it was Luke gospel about John the Baptist and then other early miracles of Jesus etc. After when Father Mike was talking about what we just read I thought this was so cool: John the Baptist did his baptisms up from the mouth of the Dead Sea in the Jordan river as we know to also be just east of Jericho. The cool thing about this spot is it is the exact lowest point on the planet because the river does slightly rise up from here as it enters the Dead Sea and it has always been said that the Dead Sea is the lowest point on the planet. So this would mean the Son of God once again shows the world His true humility to be baptised in the lowest place on Earth. Other fascinating observations. This point marks the end of the Exodus as it was where it has been said that Joshua and the Israelites crossed out of Moab into Cannan here and then ultimately went onto Jericho to take it. Joshua and Yeshua very similar if in Hebrew and Joshua points to Yeshua meaning: Joshua = Yahweh is salvation, Yeshua = Yahua saves. So both having very historical events on this exact spot. Also it was the end of Moses's Exodus but then the beginning of a new Exodus with Jesus as his ministry truly began upon His baptism and we all know where that leads to an exodus from the old covenent to the new and final one through Jesus. So so cool how God has worked from the old to the new and tied massive events all together in the same locations.
I am on day 360 but started in January, averaging 3-4 lessons a day. Have learned so much! In the thick of Revelation right now, which has always been been a challenge to me.
