Ooooo, Katfalls! Gorgeous! You have been really blessed with an eye for beauty in more than one medium.
Both of these are beautiful. I was trying to enlarge the one of the movie theater to read whats on Marquee but it still in blurry. Would love if you can share! And in the Bank one.. are those apple trees?
I know I have to make the images small to upload on the site. On the marquis it says “Coming Soon” on the left. On the right it says” Jesus Christ King Of The Universe”. Most of the people are people from my church. Our three Hispanic Priests are the greeters. Two handicapped people, old age, middle age, and children. I wanted the marquis ti be the light in the darkness giving hope. People being drawn to the light, the glow of the restaurant, the highlight of City Hall. The subtle blue cross on the brick wall. It’s our town circle, took the image during the day and had to remove cars, etc. I pulled it into my computer to image it, add people etc. I had to get permission from all of them! Even permission from the store owners. It’s being printed on canvas and I will add paint over it. The technique is called “ embellished giclee”. It will go on display at church, then a coffee shop in town, then at an art show in May at the Maria Stein Retreat Center. I was inspired by Edward Hopper’s “Nighthawks” painting. Would love if you can share! Oh yes, my husband and I are in the painting. On the painting, “Legacy” the trees can be your own interpretation. One person thought they were apples as in the forbidden fruit. It is the same tree in reverse on the other side. Or they good represent “good fruits”. They are not sinister so they could also represent gifts outside of the bank. I’m intrigued by surreal art, Magritte had some unusual pieces. Not to get long winded, but back to “The Good News” painting and the subtle blue cross. It’s similar to the blue light crosses Protestant churches display around this area. It was something I wanted to add since Jesus wants to save all souls. And in the Bank one.. are those apple trees?[/QUOTE]
You did a wonderful job on the sky and clouds in the background. It makes me dream of my spiritual investments; may they reap the benefit of eternal life with Jesus and Mary.
