How beautiful! We're finally having our first stretch of spring-like temperatures in the 60s, but still have some snow on the ground. O Lord, bi-locate me to Ireland! Safe in the Father's Arms!
There is an old fountain in the Enclosed Garden called the Heron Fountain it has statues of little herons all around it. One morning very early when no one was about I saw a heron actually fishing in the fountain and when I drew close the heron rose from the Heron Fountain and flew away. My heart stopped watching it the sight was so beautiful. It is when we see hings like this that God draws very near. I suppose the old ones may have left fish in the fountain that attract the herons. http://www.panoramio.com/photo/12414995
The Enclosed Garden always reminds me of Our Blessed Lady one of whose great titles is, 'A Garden Enclosed'. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Our_Lady_of_the_Garden_Enclosed_(statue) Our Lady the Garden Enclosed wearing the festive mantle made by Koeiman
It also reminds me of Our Lady of the Woodlands, Our Lady of Grey and the famous Marian apparition Father Lamy witnessed there. http://www.mysticsofthechurch.com/2009/11/pere-lamy-father-john-edward-lamy.html
