Well, when I read this article this morning, I can now see how the Pope will be further attacked -- through the legal establishment: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/2928120/Pope-arrest-plot.html This makes perfect sense from the atheistic/satanist standpoint. I think I will pray more fervently for our Pope after reading this. I encourage everyone else on this forum to do so as well. I'm sure you already are, but a little extra could only help him right now.
He is a Head of State, it would be difficult. But it shows what we are up against. I think there is a great deal of personal pride in this , 'New Atheism', pride in intellect. But what good is intellect, or anything without love? I suspect that in the eyes of God and His angels intellect is no more important than, say, the colour of our eyes. In heaven intellect will be irrelevant. Also I notice in Exorcisms and in other occult phenomena even the devil picks up or looses intellect as he chooses, I think even for Satan intellect is just a tool, something he has no great interest in, an appendage. Poor people, but for them intellect is the greatest of all gifts.
Yes Shane, They seem to be crossing a big line here, may God have mercy on them. I must pray for them at mass this morning. But their hearts have become very hard. Pride makes the heart hard.
Hi, I see also that the Pope is being sued by a man from Illinois claiming he failed to protect children. http://www.cbn.com/cbnnews/us/2010/March/US-Attorney-Files-Lawsuit-Against-Pope/ I just had a conversation with one of my housemates who comes from the viewpoint that the Catholic Church destroyed Ireland and the Irish people and did more harm than good. He says that he hopes the Pope is found to be guilty and states that he is only a criminal. I think that everyone has heard the kind of arguments put forward. The thing is that this guy is not generally a hateful person. I do not find myself uncomfortable in his presence as you often would with people that are full of hate, yet he clearly has it in for the Pope and the Church without any rational reason. I asked him how the Church affects his daily life that he feels thus motivated and he acknowledges that it doesn't affect him in the slightest. It seems to me that saying these things is equivalent to placing a curse on the Pope. So many people that do not pray and have lost their way are now actively involved in cursing the Church unawares to themselves. As Padraig says much prayer is needed if the Pope is to have the strength to endure this persecution and the persecutions that no doubt will follow. It seems likely he will be forced to leave Rome eventually as people move further and further away from the truth. I'm not up on all the prophecies but this was said by one of the Marian visionaries wasn't it? I think as time goes on this will be the issue that separates the wheat from the chaff among those that claim to be Catholic, as we will have to openly defend our Father the Pope in whatever way God calls us.
