I agree about the children. I also think the children have a sombre look that is disturbing. Another issue I have with the portrait is that PF has his hands covering the pectoral cross. Hmmm...
Does anyone else see the minarets on the right side of the painting? Directly across from Saint Peter's?
Pseudo-Trinity? Francis as God? This man needs help. I know I keep posting that, but need to remind myself to pray for the man. He is a part of a huge, messed up lie.
Imo it means hold fast to what you have. But that's become my mantra these days. Minarets are consistent with Muslim and sometimes orthodox right?
Mmmmm.... no. Many Orthodox churches (like Hagia Sophia) were taken over by Muslims and turned into mosques and thus given minarets, but minarets are not indigenously Christian architecture.
Yep just was looking closer and that's a mosque no doubt. I was thinking Russian orthodox but their churches look nothing like this.
I think that Remnant News should write a new article with many of the points that our members have made above. Yikes!
This is obviously a painting laden with imagery and meaning, but in charity we don't know if the input for what was to be in it is from the Pope, the artist, the Pope's advisers, some other source(s) or a mix of people.
I took both paintings as a complete joke of course. I could not imagine the Holy Father allowing such a rendition or indeed anyone painting such a think in seriousness but only as a joke. Why did I think it a joke? Well primarily becuase it is so totally lacking in humility. But I mean to say it speaks for itself. Sad, sad, times. But it shows you just how seriously these people take themselves. A little like the devil who takes himself utterly seriously. They must have had their funny bones amputated. I was at mass early this morning and the Redemptorist Rector blamed all the Abuse problems in the Church on , Clericalism', he went on to say that we are all guilty of , 'Clericalism'. My mouth fell open ; since the people sitting are not clerics how could we, all of us be guilty of, 'Clericalism'. But of course if you spread the word around a lot you make it basically valueless. The real problem, homosexual clergy, never got a mention. What did get a mention was that we were, all of us, invited to a LGBT , 'Dialogue Group' later on in the week. I hate to think what that's all about.
To even speak those words. I am the d$!$l to me is chilling. I was brought up never to joke like that.
I have heard these words and i cannot understand how we are responsible for this pedophile problem. It reminds me of the communist ploy of repeating things that are not true as true. The more you say it, the more people accept it.
So these perverts who raped children and seminarians are going to have to confess the sin of clericalism? "Father please forgive me I committed the sin of clericalism 15 times." What a load of garbage!
It seems like every time I turn around I am hearing about some LGBT this or that there being promoted at a parish there in Ireland. I am in the US and have never had this even hinted at in Mass. It makes me wonder why it is being pushed so heavily there. Also, the banners of Pope Francis. This is really odd to me. It makes me think that whoever is behind it is worried about the backlash they might eventually encounter there.
