Padraig, I will concur with your wishes for it is not my desire to politicize the Forum, either. It is important, however, to try to understand the hearts of Amerians who are over 50. The America we grew up with is being dismantled and it is a shock to our sense of liberty and honor. The tip of the iceberg in our spiritual battles is often the political arena. Sometimes a certain article or video will remind us of what is slipping through the fingers and it hurts. It also points to future ramifications if we fail to act. I bet this is why Lee created this thread. You expressed this sense a couple of years ago, yourself: July 3, 2009 ...For America now we can say as the Japanese Admiral said after Pearl Harbour that 'A giant has awaken from her sleep' . I don't know, I think I will side with Padraig (and Kathleen )on this one, only hearing one side here, which means we would now have to post the opposing side to this case to be politically fair...and this is not a political forum, so instead let's just Pray, Pray, Pray for the right thing to be done and watch the news channels. My brother lives in Arizona, but he vents his frustrations by going to his oceanside trailer in...Mexico! He makes me wonder sometimes...crazy brother I have.
Um, sorry if I mislead you Kathleen. He owns a motor home in a vacation park on the ocean in Rocky Point Mexico...they go there every weekend practically. I was just sort-of making a joke about him, his carefree attitude - guess I didn't do a very good job. He's fine and living the good life in their material world...at least for now. He and his wife are both fallen away Catholics. Both went to Catholic schools, have great jobs, and are as far away from religion as they can get right now (except for me trying to remind them once in a while). Their conversion would be a great miracle indeed! They are living large and they think they are as happy as they can be... But they are on my email list, and I have sent them rosaries, so hopefully their Catholic DNA will kick in when they are warned...guess he could use some prayers after all, but not because he loves Mexico. I do pray for them, that they will weather the warning and come out the other side re-converted, because they could do a lot of good if they redirected their money and enthusasiam to better ends.
