I have been working on mine beginning week 4 , went to confession and so did my husband on a recent trip to Bangor Maine although he is not making the consecration. 33 Days to Morning Glory-- makes me feel so close to Mary and this is the first time in 16 years this happened! It is what you put into it that you receive! I am doing the ex amen now each evening and I find it wonderful . You would need the book and page 187 number73 has the ex amen. Time for me to do it. Every time I feel like saying something untoward or in a snooty way I think If I asked for Mary's heart she wouldn't say it that way and so on--- but you know things do slip out and I am aware and working on them!Not a saint yet but trying,
I'm in! Looking foreward to checking on a daily basis with all , your thoughts and directions in your life to grow in a closer unity with the precious heart of Jesus through our loving Mother and the spouse of the Holy Spirit. This will also help me focus on Gods divine will for me/us as I'm also reading the volumes written on this. Presently I am on week four of the "33 days to Morning Glory". Looking foreward to all insights to draw me in to a deeper love.
I have brought the introduction of the Examen method of prayer to my confirmation class and through the process have realized that I have already been in prayer with this method, but have not used it enough on a daily basis. Have been working to improve on this daily for at least the 15 minutes. It is amazing how God is with you through your walk of life if only you take time to recognize those special and loving moments of direction in your life from his guidance and grace in getting you back into a state of sanctifying grace in preparation for my daughters death to the present. A span of 33 years and He never stops loving a sinner like me! His arms have been around me and placing me at the right place and at the right moment when I allow Him to work in and through me and say "yes".
I think it's April 10th - 33 days before May 13th, the date for the consecration. If I have worked it out correctly.....
hey, this is really coming together! I'm so thrilled but of course not as thrilled as our mother! we begin April 10th which will be here before you know it. sstill time for others to join us. as others have stated...you will become closer to our dear mother and she will guide your life in a very real way on the most direct path to her son. I especially recommend doing this if you are carrying a heavy cross now. you will learn how to carry that cross better...at least I know that happened to me. this is something you will never regret so please discern if you are being called to do this!
Looking forward to April 10th! When are daughters were younger they felt the need as I did also, to leave the apron stings of our earthly mother and go out into the world. We also at the same time pulled away from our heavenly Father and Mother at the same time. Through the years of struggle and heart ache we come to recognize the truth that we need the loving heart of our mothers because they are a part of our whole being and an emptiness envelopes within our soul that only a Mother can fill. As the date gets closer I am going to pray for all of us that Mary will ask her spouse to grant special graces upon our group to guide and direct us to a deeper depth of love for her son Jesus through her Immaculate Heart and that our love through Mary will be extended to each other as we share and pray.
Ecc 2 and RoryRory, Since you'll be significantly ahead of us by the the time we start, maybe you could jot down some notes for each day, so that when we catch up to you (so to speak), you'll be able to give us feedback on what you experienced at that point. And by the way, I love the second chapter of Sirach. God providentially spoke to me through it at a very difficult point in my life back in 1989! Safe in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary!
Finished reading True Devotion last night. What a lovely little book. I shall need to read it often. I've started the Secret of Mary and am saying the morning offering at the end of the book. Getting ready for consecration.... roll on April 10th.....
Be sure to get your home blessed if you can before doing the consecration. We just finished the consecration (33 days to morning glory), and of course it is Lent...we have a broken washer, our refrigerator went kaput, our dishwasher died and we just ripped a trash compactor out of our cabinet...we were fighting like cats and dogs, I cannot even tell you what happened about THAT, but it was bad....and soooo many misunderstandings etc....ol red legs was REALLY trying to get to all of us! I got an examination of conscience from SPIRITDAILY.COM and they had it as headline news one day and I printed out ALL 19 pages of all of them and used them and wrote down my sins and had 4 single spaced , typewritten pages of sins!! After confession, the priest took a deep breath and said, "I want your examination of conscience" after you get home can you email it to me?? I laughed and said SURE! Just sayin....bless your home or get a priest to bless it!!!
Wow, thanks for the warning! We moved to our present house last July and I had it blessed in August. Would this count? Certainly in the past week, 'ol red legs' has been having a lot of fun, which I didn't realise might be connected to the consecration. The worst was on the first day I had used a lovely morning offering from de Montfort..... and I'm afraid I was the culprit. I've got some blessed salt, I can go round the rooms here.... I love Spirit Daily.

We've entered April and I can't believe our consecration starts in about a week. I wanted to let my fellow consecration buddies know that I'm with you in getting ready and pumped up for this. I'm not quite on the roll Clare is (you go Clare!!)...but am getting psyched and spiritually ready! Anyone else on the edge of the pool wondering if they should jump in. Come join us...your salvation or the salvation of others around you might be at stake!! These are important times we live in...I can't achieve what my mission is without our mother in Heaven...she helps me, guides me, and intercedes for me. My mother...bring me to the heart of your son!
yes, expect many distractions from you know who. nothing worse for satan than another consecrated soul to Mary. it's a big deal and he knows it!
I think this is a main reason I decided to go for it. This is the age of Mary, and spiritual warfare is going to be crucial for souls, makes sense to sign up under Our Lady's banner.
I'll join you all in this. My consecration is definitely due for renewal. Will go and dust off my 33 Days to Morning Glory book now, in preparation for April 10... Looking forward to it.
For Teflon-coated, bullet-proof protection from the enemy while you're doing your consecration, I suggest this; Every morning, ask the Blessed Mother, Queen of the Divine Will, to teach you how to live in the Divine Will. Give her your will and ask her to cover you with her will, because she lived in the Divine Will every moment of her life. I ask her to teach me the 'family business' - which is doing my part in getting the prayer of Jesus answered; 'Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.' I know I keep harping on luisa piccarreta's writings, but since I've been doing this, for the last 5 months, the enemy hasn't touched me with a ten foot pole!
