It occurs to me the the, 'Triumph of the Immaculate Heart' ,(which is to say the triumph of Holy Mother Church ..for they are one and the same) is a bit like an electric light bulb which flickers. Let me explain. After Pentecost, the birthday of the Church (where Mary was of course central in the upper room) we had the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart with the outflowing of the Holy Spirit. However the demons who had fled to hell after the death and resurrection ..knowing they had suffered their final defeat stuck their noses out of hell and went right back to buisness. So the light flickered. Then after the Emperor Constantine won at the Malvian Bridge the Church re emerged from the catacombs. So we had the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart. But the Church drowned in its own greed and materialism, the light flickered. Th en with St Francis a new way of the Spirit, a new dawn came, again Francis rebuilt Christs Church ..the triumph of the Immaculate Heart. ..and so and so forth, you get the idea... It is the Battle between MAry and Satan foretold in Genesis. Now to the future after the Warning, the triumph..then the light flickers, schism. persecution. Then the three days darkness...the Triumph.....then at the End of things the great Apsotasy and the Final Battle..the final Triumph.
Padraig, Very succinct! Very good! The battle rages! Maranatha! Safe in the Refuge of the Immaculate Heart!
Yes Terry, but there is a fly in ointment!! At Fatima Our Lady specifically said, 'In the End my immaculate Heart will Triumph'. Now this appears to be A Triumph singular, rather than plural (Triumphs) . Also this seems to indicate the future rather than an inclusive past (as well). If you or anyone else could comment on this I would be grateful. You could take Mary's words the way I take it...but perhaps taken in more direct sense might be more accurate. I must pray some more on this. Perhaps you could take it both ways? On the other hand what I posted is close to what St Louis Grignion De Montford wrote about these times...? More prayer...
Please pray for the forum. The site has being going on and off line all day and I have no idea why. It just kinda disappears and no one can get on. This at a time when many, many people more than ever are trying to access it. Please pray to St Michael.
I would be happy with 2017, more time to get ready. How strange that these very Marian messages come from a Protestant. I am a little surprised and disappointed he has not converted.
Found this buried deep in the article: Johnston claims he was told to pay special heed to Fatima because it remains at the "center" of everything. "At the time [of the vision], I didn't consciously know what Fatima was," says the former fundamentalist, who converted to Catholicism in 1991.
Excellent read and explanation! His "second story" is a plausible/fascinating explanation of the third secret/vision of Fatima.
Padraig, I see it as being like a war between good and evil. all of what you say in your first post are battles - and of course The Blessed Virgin wins. What I take from the post above is that in the end she wins the war all the battles are over and she is the winner. Its like what Kathy said. We know the outcome, we just have to keep fighting. Prayer being best weapon for the fight. And I am praying for this board. I wonder why so many are now trying to get on to it. I see that as another sign. I see signs everywhere now.
Interesting: Illinois Man With Visions Of 'Great Storm' Claims It Will Come With Passing Of Pope But Johnston does not believe the secret has fully played out, concurring that the secret represents the Virgin halting the sword of justice wielded by the angel but implying that this intercession is not yet complete. He "respectfully" differs with the Vatican interpretation of the rest of the secret -- which pictured a "bishop in white" (largely thought to mean Pope John Paul II, who as bishop of Rome wears white) ascending a mountain, "at the top of which there was a big Cross of rough-hewn trunks as of a cork-tree with the bark. Before reaching there the Holy Father passed through a big city half in ruins and half trembling with halting step, afflicted with pain and sorrow, he prayed for the souls of the corpses he met on his way; having reached the top of the mountain, on his knees at the foot of the big Cross he was killed by a group of soldiers who fired bullets and arrows at him." While the Vatican has interpreted that image as a symbol of the many priests, bishops, and religious who were martyred under Communism and also considers it a premonition of the 1981 assassination attempt on John Paul II -- which occurred on the Fatima anniversary day of May 13! -- Johnston believes it more directly relates to current crises in the Church and the former broadcaster, who claims visions over the past forty years, (which caused him to convert to Catholicism from fundamentalism), asserts that this interpretation was confirmed through his allegedly mystical experiences. "The assassination attempt against John Paul II and its timing identify him as the Pope of Fatima, but it is not the point of this secret," says Johnston. "The ascent up the hill represents this Pope's particular mission. The city which lies half in ruins is Christianity, half of which no longer believes in God, but says Jesus was a good moral teacher. The corpses the Pope meets and prays for on his way are those who, though they breathe, are spiritually dead. The cross at the top of the hill is the end of the Pope's mission on earth. It represents both his triumph and his death to this world. He kneels before it offering his work to Christ. It is after this triumph that the terror begins. It is the body of the Pope's work that the soldiers fire at. That they are in uniform shows that it is an organized effort. These are the legions who have given themselves over to Satan. But the Pope has his legions as well. They are priests, bishops, religious and laity who joined themselves to him and followed him on his way. They will be true champions for Christ as the battle is joined. Prominent among them will be some of the dead souls -- the corpses -- reborn to spiritual life through the Pope's prayers."
I agree Picadillo. It is always amazing how we read a prophecy like the one above and immediately take it literally. I tend to think he may be right in his interpretation of this event.
Would this tie into the Garabandal prophecies that JPII would be the last Pope, and then the end of times?
Oh well ,here I go again............Im not happy with this explanation at all.The consecration has not been done, the triumph has not happened, the full third secret has not even been revealed.
Mac, Although I also believe this is not the third "secret" of Fatima, I believe this is a wonderful description of the third "vision" that the Vatican released.
I think the 'vision' needs to be read with the full hidden text 'In Potrugal the Dogma.......and ending with 'In the end my Immaculte Heart will triumph'.before we will ever really understand it. So is Johnston saying after Blessed Pope John Paul II dies, the terror begins? nothing has happened.Nothing new at least.
. Prominent among them will be some of the dead souls -- the corpses -- reborn to spiritual life through the Pope's prayers." This does not sound catholic. imo.
I believe the third secret begins with "In Portugal the Dogma......" not the vision given to us by the Vatican. I have no opinion on the death of the pope, I just believe there is a difference between said vision and the third secret. That line, while unclear, may refer to the communion of saints in heaven and in purgatory, joined with the saints on earth.
"After the two parts which I have already explained, at the left of Our Lady and a little above, we saw an Angel with a flaming sword in his left hand; flashing, it gave out flames that looked as though they would set the world on fire; but they died out in contact with the splendor that Our Lady radiated towards him from her right hand: pointing to the earth with his right hand, the Angel cried out in a loud voice: 'Penance, Penance, Penance!'. And we saw in an immense light that is God: 'something similar to how people appear in a mirror when they pass in front of it' a Bishop dressed in White 'we had the impression that it was the Holy Father'. Other Bishops, Priests, men and women Religious going up a steep mountain, at the top of which there was a big Cross of rough-hewn trunks as of a cork-tree with the bark; before reaching there the Holy Father passed through a big city half in ruins and half trembling with halting step, afflicted with pain and sorrow, he prayed for the souls of the corpses he met on his way; having reached the top of the mountain, on his knees at the foot of the big Cross he was killed by a group of soldiers who fired bullets and arrows at him, and in the same way there died one after another the other Bishops, Priests, men and women Religious, and various lay people of different ranks and positions. Beneath the two arms of the Cross there were two Angels each with a crystal aspersorium in his hand, in which they gathered up the blood of the Martyrs and with it sprinkled the souls that were making their way to God." 'blood of martyrs 'must refer to more than those who are just spiritually dead.
