Anyone else thinking of a radical change?

True Mario, it hasn't been quite as freezing this winter, my 'blizzard coat' is still hanging in the back of hall closet. Lancaster is a pretty spot, my grandmother was very fond of vacationing there. She would always say, "I'm heading to the Pennsylvania Dutch country.' She loved the Amish crafts, and enjoyed seeing the horse and buggies.

 

Yes, it's well known for the "simple folk".

Actually, we have about 50 Amish farms in a radius of 7 miles. They've been moving in and multiplying for about 5 years. Our area is very rural and since 20-40 year-olds aren't willing to stay on the land and have gone urban, there is a lot of vacant farm land that the Amish are snapping up. These Amish originate from Ohio, not Pennsylvania.

Our children are scattered around the USA and the reason we're leaning toward PA is that our younger daughter's family is only "5 hours" away near Lancaster. It'd be nice to live close to some family!

What do you know? Open your mouth and look what happens. We've had about 2 inches of snow cover for the last week. It's been holding around freezing so it hasn't melted off. Last night we got 4 more inches, but I just checked the weather and they're predicting a lake-effect storm that could dump up to a foot starting mid-day tomorrow. I think I'll keep my lips zipped!

Is there a saint of shovelers or snowblowers?

 

You know the old saying "you want to make God laugh? Tell Him your plans." Or tell Him about your mild winter weather.

 

We're in Commy Canada. My husband is debating going rural, up north, preferably off grid, growing our own food, etc. It is NOT an easy task. I am 60 and he 62, we have a daughter close by who has a 1 and 3 yr old and a hubby with a blood clotting disorder so he requires meds. We have 3 sons, two with us and one nearby who has probable Borderline Personality Disorder. Not sure how he would take this. Also a daughter in NE and a daughter in BC. I am terrified of isolating, not knowing anyone around and starting over somewhere else while growing older. The rest of my family of one sister and two brothers would think we're insane so no help there, and my daughter that's near would want to come with us if we did go but is worried about the kids not getting socialized and her hubby's meds. As much as I'd like to go in a way, I'd rather have a few families, like a community so we could all help each other. What if there's no Church close? They are mostly mission Churches up north I would think. Unless it's in a larger center which we wouldn't want to be close to. So many what if's! But if Biden gets in and we're already going socialist in Canada, we have to debate these things. I'm not getting vaccinated, and don't want to end up in a 'camp' for people who are deemed a threat to society! What to do?

Imagine you even have to think like that - that you might get put in a camp for not getting vaccinated.

God brings peace, not worry. You know this. Stay with your friends, love God and your neighbor and do as many of the first things as you can to help others around you. Remember, Jesus told us when we see these things not to worry but to rejoice. We are all very blessed to be exactly where we are.

 

Yes, we discerned 5 years ago to begin to do exactly this and in October made the final move to the land that God has had us preparing. The amount of signal Graces and divine assistance we've received to finalize the preparations over the past 9 months has been nothing short of miraculous and confirmation that the path we followed was His.

I would counsel that if you're feeling this urge now out of your thoughts or trying to figure out a solution to what is upon us, don't do it now, there's not enough time and God has another plan for you. But if you feel the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and after deep prayer feel led to do this, then don't wait, begin today.

Trump is gone, our persecution now begins, but God has a plan. Trust Him!

 

The radical change needed is in our hearts. Love God, love our neighbors. God will sort it all out.

 

100% correct. And how do you think He's going to sort it all out and get us all to radically change and begin to Love God and Love one another, without allowing us to go through the tribulation that is now upon us? I've been comparing what is coming to 9/11. Remember the aftermath of 9/11? People were kind to one another and went back to church and that lasted for what, 3 or 4 weeks? and look how exponentially worse we are today, 20 short years later, and begin to contemplate what He will now allow to occur to really get us on our knees and turned back to Him and prepare the way for the Triumph...

 

And where are you FP? Is it a refuge of sorts or just for yourselves? Curious as God led you to do this

 

In the U.S. and no, not just for us.

What I was given to know on October 11, 2019 (a few days after the Pachamama abomination) is that Trump is gone, our persecution then begins, and the land is to be used to provide shelter and safety for those fleeing persecution. And that Padraig's icons are true and we already have seen one of his icons come true earlier this month at the Capitol and now Trump is gone...so please prepare for that next step where our persecution begins. Or I should say ramps up as it's already begun via cancel culture, they're making lists of who supported Trump and getting them fired or blacklisted, they're going to move quickly on abortion "rights" reinstated--wouldn't be surprised to see some action on abortion being Biden's 1st order, and much more. Rwanda keeps coming to mind after the right begins to fight back, but that's just my thoughts after looking at how things are unfolding, not anything I "know"...

good to hear ftom you. I thought you posted recently that you were going to the rally in DC on January 6. Just curious why you would do that if you had been given to know in 2019 that “Trump is gone.”

 

So I only was given to "know" that Trump was gone. As I've watched things unfold over the past year, I thought "surely he'll be re-elected by a wide margin" (and he was, but alas) and then I was guessing they'd get rid of him through other means after (assasination, war, etc.). Up until a couple weeks ago I was still guessing that he'd flip the script on them and expose the fraud and through the courts, or the legislature, get this overturned and then the left would riot and they'd get rid of him through the other means...by alas, God didn't lie, He never does, and Trump is gone.

And because as my father, my uncle and many good men who have stood up for our freedom taught me, a Patriotic American stands up for what is right, true, and good, no matter the outcome. Or I guess I could have run away and hid in fear like a "good German" but I don't think that's what God would want me to do:

You are right, AED! Maybe it's a gift because of Biden's swearing-in! We're getting a brief burst of snow today from a passing front. It's like winter arrived a month late. This will bring us to over 2 feet in the last 1o days. And the temperatures more normal with a few sub-zero temperatures thrown in. It's weird, but it feels normal.
