    Also I had been searching for St. Sharbel holy oil on the internet and looking at a place in Lebanon but did not order as I was wondering if I could find it closer.
    To me this is miraculous as I just got a text from a friend- I didn’t know I mentioned St Sharbel to her—-telling me a friend had just come back from Lebanon and that she would give me some. I am so thankful to God. I will get it in about a month as this lady is going away for about a month.

    To remain silent:

    about oneself — that is humility

    about the faults of others — that is love;
    from useless words — that is penance;
    at the right time and in the right place — that is prudence;
    in the midst of crosses — that is heroism.

    Today marks the anniversary of the death of a great saintly man, miracle worker, mystic, and my personal protector, the Servant of God Ante Antić.

    I can say that I personally received a true miracle, and I consider myself a person of reason and logic; yet faith is what transcends everything human and leads us into the Divine…

    I will share with you a testimony written in 1981…

    My Encounter with Ante Antić and Padre Pio

    I was 21 years old. My brother wrote to me saying he would like me to visit him. I came to Zagreb (the capital of Croatia). My brother met me and led me along Zvonimirova Street. When we arrived at the church he said:
    “Let’s pass through the church because it’s closer than going around Vrbanićeva Street.”

    He went ahead and I followed him. In the church, at one altar, a priest was celebrating Mass, and around him was a rather large group of believers. When my brother reached the altar he knelt, and I stopped because I didn’t know the way to the monastery.

    Then my gaze fell on the priest. He was bent over and had unkempt hair. I thought to myself: How miserable this priest looks.

    Just as I had thought that, the priest turned toward me. Not with his whole body, but only with his head. He looked at me gently and sadly. His face was wonderful, beautiful, and above all noble. At the same time I heard, within myself, his voice saying to me:

    “Now I may appear like this to you, but one day I will be different for you.”

    I felt deep pain and sorrow inside myself for having thought such a thing, and I said to myself: Oh, how mistaken I was.

    At that moment my brother pulled me along, because I had been standing there as if frozen from that unusual experience, and I went with him to the monastery. I did not tell my brother anything about it.

    Many years later I received a book titled “The Good Father Antić.” I had no idea who Father Antić was. I had never heard that name before. I leafed through the book and noticed his picture. I looked at the picture and it seemed familiar. Then I remembered everything. My eyes filled with tears and I whispered:

    “Forgive me, dear and good Father Antić, for thinking that way about you then. Yes, you are completely different. You are a saint of God and my joy. You turned the course of my life. Where would I be today if you had not taken me under your protection? My body would probably have long since been under the ground, and my spirit would have fared even worse.

    The spirit is the true value, and it is eternal. The body lasts only a short time. The beauty and nobility of the spirit are the real value; the body exists only as long as the spirit is within it and according to what kind of spirit is within it.”

    On my travels around the world I visited twice the greatest visible miracle of God’s mercy and love for humanity: Padre Pio of Pietrelcina. I saw his wounds—the Savior’s wounds on him—which he bore for a full 50 years for the salvation of mankind.

    Once some people from Zagreb were there with him. Padre Pio told them:
    “Why have you come to me? You have your Father Antić.”

    One thing is certain: Padre Pio and Father Antić never met physically nor corresponded, and yet they knew each other so well and were united. Together they suffered and worked for the salvation of humanity, which the devil—through his soldiers—tries to destroy like with nuclear weapons.

    Now both of them have already finished their “military service” on this earth as soldiers and officers of Christ, but they have not stopped working and helping us in our spiritual and bodily needs.

    Greetings to you, city of Zagreb! You are truly fortunate to have had—and still to have—the holy body of Father Antić.

    Blessed be God in His angels and saints!
