Well said, Fatima. Regardless of what is happening, God is permitting it and I am holding fast to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. She told Fr. Gobbi many years ago--I went to hear him speak in 1983--that all the institutions we rely on would fail--ALL institutions--and that the only safe place for us was in her Immaculate Heart and she would keep us there, as in an enclosed garden. I've never forgotten that. The Heart of Mary is Noah's new ark.

I need to go back and reference the Blue Book. I listened to Father Gobbi in Omaha in the late 80's or early 90's. Many feel his messages were discredited when they did not come to fruition before the new millennium as he predicted. However others believe Mary delayed these times at her bequest to God. This has been confirmed in many current prophecies, including the recent one from Luz de Maria where she declared Mary indeed delayed God's punishment through petitioning the throne of God.

    Exactly!
Sadly, the faith has been watered down so badly over these past years that now days these so called Catholics will welcome continued further erosion of dogma by this pope. It will give them liscense to live as they want...not as they should. Faithful Catholics will be the minority...with all that goes with it. We should be grateful to be counted among them....with all that goes with it.

If this pope continues to ignore the dubia, then it is he who leaves the faith. He cannot change the truths of the church. Those of us who will not go along with this false teaching/teacher, are not leaving the faith at all. We remain Catholic. However, if this AL is not corrected and is implemented throughout the church, I will find a catholic priest/ bishop/Cardinal who opposes it and stand with them. We cannot accept this teaching. Cardinal Burke and hopefull Archbishop Chaput in the USA will continue to oppose it and will prohibit these changes in America.

The good priest standing up to these errant bishops will be shown the door.
If AL is not properly defined in real Catholic terms, then the church ceases to be Catholic ....it becomes just another version of Protestantism . Having that statue of Martin Luther in the Vatican is the foreshadowing of the future of the church if things continue on. The pope allowing communion to be given to Lutherans?...it's making sense now.
If the church loses its catholic identity, what is it then?

Vatican to issue stamp featuring Martin Luther

Martin Luther , Protestant Revolt , Stamp , Vatican

January 17, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) — If you happen to receive a piece of mail from the Vatican this year, don’t be surprised to see the face of Martin Luther.

The Vatican office charged with issuing stamps, known as the Philatelic and Numismatic Office, confirmed Tuesday to LifeSiteNews that Luther, who broke away from the Catholic Church in a schism 500 years ago, will be celebrated with a postage stamp in 2017. The office is in charge of the annual commission of stamps, coins, and other commemorative medals.

The Vatican regularly issues such memorabilia for special events, including papal trips and holy years. Honoring Luther and the Protestant Reformation is an unlikely choice, trumping other significant events in the Catholic Church such as the 100-year anniversary of the apparition of Our Lady of Fatima and the 300-year anniversary of our Lady of Aparecida, Brazil.

Major events such as Christmas, Easter, the Holy Year of Mercy, and the World Meeting of Families have also merited a commemorative stamp. In the time before a Papal election, when the seat of Peter is vacant, the Philatelic and Numismatic office issues a “Sede Vacante” stamp.

Usually if individuals are commemorated on stamps they are saints, such as Teresa of Calcutta, John Paul II, and Pope John XXIII, who most recently were honored with stamps.

While the Vatican has in the past collaborated with other national post offices to create stamps that are not of explicitly religious content, such as Charlie Chaplain or the fall of the Berlin wall, the Luther stamp has an undeniable religious connotation linked with much hostility to the Catholic Church.

In 1517, Martin Luther published his 95 theses against the Catholic Church and began what thereafter has been known as the Reformation, leading to a schism in the Church. This was followed by the formation of Protestant denominations that later spilled into other countries, fueled by others such as John Calvin and Jan Hus. The confessional war that followed, the “Thirty Years’ War,” with its 10 million deaths was known to be the bloodiest war in Europe until World War I.

Luther, an Augustinian monk, was excommunicated in 1521 by Pope Leo X with the papal bull, Decet Romanum Pontificem. At age 41, he married Katharina von Bora, a run-away Cistercian nun of 26 years.

Pope Francis was criticized in the fall for his trip to Lund, Sweden for a commemoration of the Reformation's 500th anniversary. He held an ecumenical event with Lutherans in the Vatican on October 13 with a statue of Martin Luther displayed. He has also suggested an opennessto some Lutherans receiving the Eucharist. A Vatican office under his direction recently referred to Luther as a "witness to the Gospel."

In fairness to old Martin, he's almost a saint in comparison to many in today's hierarchy. Come to think of it, this revisionism could lead us to adopt a more merciful view of many other historical figures both inside and outside the Church. Even some notorious popes like the Borgias didn't attempt to teach the faithful that observing the Ten Commandments is optional and pass it off as a surprise from the Holy Spirit.

It's becoming ever clearer what Our Lady of Fatima meant when she said that in Portugal the Dogma of the Faith will always be preserved. Moving to Portugal could be an option if she meant all of Portugal or even some dioceses but not if she only meant that some priests would remain faithful because we wouldn't know how to find those priests.

Whatever transpires from country to country or diocese to diocese, we can't claim ignorance if the very words of Jesus are being re-interpreted no matter who tries to pass it off as inspired by the Holy Spirit. I'm wondering at what stage failing to defend perennial Church teaching becomes a sin of omission.

    Wow Dolorus, great analysis.

    And this,

"Whatever transpires from country to country or diocese to diocese, we can't claim ignorance if the very words of Jesus are being re-interpreted no matter who tries to pass it off as inspired by the Holy Spirit. I'm wondering at what stage failing to defend perennial Church teaching becomes a sin of omission."

I'd be interested in knowing the same. I can't imagine how this is going to be settled with infighting amoung dioceses. Bishops and cardinals will have to take a stand as Burke, Chaput and others have. Chaput has receieved push back in the US, but has remained firm. So I guess individual bishops/ cardinals will need to set guidelines for their respective dioceses as Chaput has. You can bet that they are conflicting. So at some point they will all need to go on record...who is defending the perennial church teachings or those who are not. How any of them can remain silent is beyond me....but that this whole debate exist is beyond me. So, I think you are right...sins of omission are sins just the same.
If Pope Fransis had the truth on his side in AL, he would have no problem or hesitation in regiourously defending and defining it. His failure to do it makes him look like a coward who is standing behind his princes to explain and defend it. Allowing this confusion, fighting, debate and upheaval is hurting the church and its faithful. A good shepherd does not do this.
" I know my sheep and they know me" doesn't apply with AL....no, we don't know....pope Francis...please ...we are waiting. Be the good shepherd....lead. The universal church wants some courage of conviction. Funny, he doesn't seem to have difficulty with other controversial issues. Maybe different this time because he knows he has no solid grounds to do what he is doing. He is hiding behind curtain.

I am relieved that God loves us, his children, so much that he is lifting the veil of deceit slow enough that we can digest it, rather than an awe and shock instant. Look how many of us took months to fully study and digest and pray about AL, before we concluded it's deep errors confirmed by many in our hierarchy and learned minds.

Had AL been followed up with immediate global concerns [war, economic collapse, astronomical events etc..) we may have fallen for the the deceit as well. Yet our God gave us sufficient time to digest it all and realize it's grave errors. Thank you Lord!

He won't issue a response to the dubia. I believe that he wanted different interpretations of Amoris Laetitia. He knows that those Bishops won't admit that their guidelines were erroneous. Don't forget that the Maltese Bishops issued their guidelines immediate after their trip to Rome and there's no way they didn't give him a copy and discuss it with him. This is about taking power away from the Papacy and giving it to Bishops. The gradual unveiling of what he really intended (conscience trumps Doctrine) makes it easier to have some kind of union with the Lutherans. Don't expect an ed-Cathedra pronouncement because he would have to define something and AL was intentionally vague. A formal correction might lead to a full Council but that could just turn into a vote of confidence in him rather than eliciting any definitive answers to the dubia.

A stamp of Luther - if it come out I am pinning it to my dartboard for target practice.

One of history's scoundrels and not matter what spin they put on it one cannot redeem a rogue.

Revisionist nonsense is the order of the day in the Vatican.

There are even honest protestants who will admit he was a rogue.

    Fatima,

I have quoted from this article previously, but had not read the above portion. I believe this will require a complete reading of Amoris Laetitia, itself, on my part. Though I accept that Pope Francis does not possess the keen intellect of a John Paul or Benedict (nor does such a lack necessarily imply that a poor choice was made in the conclave), Anna M. Silvas appears to build a case that the maelstrom of "mitigating factors" presented in this exhortation was intentional in laying a groundwork for footnote no. 351.

Alas, the words of today's reading from Sirach come to mind as Lent approaches:

Delay not your conversion to the LORD, put it not off from day to day. For suddenly his wrath flames forth; at the time of vengeance you will be destroyed.

Jesus, may I never make use of a maelstrom of "mitigating factors" to excuse away my sins and thereby delay conversion!

Safe in the Flames of the Sacred Heart!

Yes Fatima. I had numerous trusted catholic friends who threw up the red flags, but I resisted because I was so afraid to be wrong. But now, how can anyone with eyes to see, dispute what is so evident. Like me, they may just be unwilling to admit that we are now mired in an ungodly mess. I understand how they feel. I knew in my heart for years where this church was headed, but accepting what that means is so hard. But I'm there. Unless there is a major turn around, ....soon.....I see it getting a lot worse.
You expect to fight the evil forces of this world...but it's really hard to accept that those forces agave infiltrated our church.
