Alert: Volcano eruption in La Palma could result in mega-tsunami

Absolutely horrifying Beth! Praise Jesus your son and his friends were protected from those killers. You were concerned about his trip from the get go, if it wasn't for your constant prayers for his safety who knows what might have happened. NY sounds pretty good compared to Mexico. He'll probably never set foot in that country again after his narrow escape.

 

I hope he never goes back. He just doesn’t worry like me…so I worry for both of us.
I hated to do this, but I sent him a link about this volcano. I’m praying he comes home to visit for awhile. I don’t think he’d make it out of Manhattan.
He’s so stubborn…God I think is using everything He has to get him back and on his knees. I’ve often prayed, “ if you have to break his heart to take his heart, do it”. I hope he comes back with his heart intact!

I hope everyone gets enough notice to leave the coast if this gets worse! God have mercy!

I’m just praying that God uses this to bring him back to the faith! I know God is hearing my prayers…it’s in His time. That’s ok …as long as it happens.

 

Yes..I’m remembering everyone’s intentions when I pray and at mass. I believe groups like this praying together are powerful. Guess we will see it all in heaven when it’s our time.

Thing is, the reports on the strength of earthquakes are usually downgraded after the initial reports come in. That's because the USGS (and most national geographic services) aggregates the seismic stations reports, and use those to get a more accurate magnitude and depth.

 

Wow. Definitely divine intervention. I hope your son comes to understand and realize he was spared. God has a plan for him as he does for all of us.

 

Are they the ones who refer to the Lord as Yeshua rather than Jesus? I can understand people from the Middle East especially Jewish converts doing so, but it seems rather affectatious coming from Europeans or Americans.

Do you know whether they keep holy the Lord's day in addition to observing the Saturday Sabbath, or is Sunday just an ordinary day for them?

I am grateful beyond words…
My heart is heavy though for the parents of those young people who were killed just inches from my son. I don’t know why God spared him except in His great mercy He is giving him a opportunity to come back to his faith. I’ve been begging God to open his heart to the Lord. I know God will offer these graces to him….and his free will can accept or reject them.
I know he realizes that he was spared….I’m praying he knows it was a grace from God who is trying to get his attention….and his love.
This might have been a awesome mercy in the long run.
