Thanks, Sanctus. That’s the encouragement we all need.

I’ve also read, or have a tenuous memory of having done so, that the angels complete our rosaries for us, if they aren’t quite as perfect as we can render them. This makes sense, I think.

[Sorry, changed that ‘they’ in my penultimate sentence to the ‘we’ that I intended].

Thanks for the info about our angels. I heard, too, that they finish our rosaries if we fall asleep praying them.

This would be great if true! Is there any credible source to back it up?

St. Hannibal de Francia said our angels gather our prayers to take them before the Father and he emphasised the need for us to be recollected and reverent in our prayers.

My mother read this in a spiritual book a long time ago too. Of course, we've always asked our guardian angel to finish the rosary for us IF we fall asleep. I'm not sure if you have to ask first.

There was a time when people believed that angels directed the motions of the planets and the stars. Given the increasing failure of physicists to explain the concept of gravity, one might begin to suspect some truth in the former idea.

Absolutely! This is what I teach my children.

  7. My mom did also and this was years ago. I truly believe it.

  8. Just send St Padre Pio your guardian angel and he will help. He has said it many times. Our angels are incredible.

It's great to think your angel is praying alongside you (especially when invited) and then takes your prayers to God the Father.

I have just gotten into the habit when saying the Rosary in the Mornings to do some extra things which are a big help:

The first was as Padre Pio advised is to say an Act of Contrition every time we say the Rosary. The Church has us do this several times as we begin the Mass in the Liturgy. Why? It clears the decks for take off:

    Psalm 24:3-4

3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place?

4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully
    .

The second is to make the Morning Offering. Why? To consecrate my day to Jesus and Mary.

Joshua 3:5: "Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you."

The third thing I do is to pray to my Guardian Angel. Such a shame if I never even talk to him once. With this I never forget.

    Psalm 91:11

11 For He shall give His angels charge over you,
To keep you in all your ways.
