I wake up to hear the esculating problems in Israel. Hamas are an off shoot of the Muslim Brotherhood, so Egypt's leader Hosni Mubarak voices his view against Israel. So many countries are just sitting on the edge of war.

Watching that video of the riot in Lisbon made me sad. My husband and I spent a day in Lisbon earlier this year. We loved Lisbon. It seemed so vibrant, the people seemed poor but peaceful. The buildings are beautiful, but this is how we could tell of the poverty which clouds Portugal. The beautiful buildings just needed money spent on them, even the government buildings were in need of cleaning. While watching this video, I thought of Moses. Yes Jane I live in Portugal. And, as you said, the financial situation of the country is very rough and people are near the resistance threshold. Protests are growing in number and intensity.
