Another book that I'm am currently reading is Thomas Petrisko's The Fatima Prophecies: At the door step of the world.
    Here's a sample:
Her Time of Visitation “The Kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the Gospel.”—Mk 1: 15 In America, the United States was still the land of the free. It was the country many people the world over came to admire after World War II. Indeed, “civilization at its highest point”was a tag easily applied to a nation rich in everything a country could want. And of course, America’s greatest commodity was its incredible freedom, which was the envy of the world. But this freedom revealed to be a two-edged sword. Moreover, by the 1970’s, an increasing number of apparitions were being reported in America, too, and, as in Europe, visionaries warned that the nation was headed for trouble. People were following the wrong road and listening to the wrong message, the seers reported. Used incorrectly, freedom and prosperity had become toxic to the souls of the people and to the nation as a whole. But how could this have happened? After World War II, America set out to turn its war-time production into the manufacture of goods for peace-time use. Business boomed. Labor prospered. A scientific revolution followed, brought about by the atomic research. There was a baby boom. It was an exciting time to live. A new medium of communication—television—brought entertainment to millions of homes. With the development of super highways, international airlines, and mass transportation, factories churned out new lines of products that could be taken from one end of the world to the other. Modern appliances and plastic devices of every kind turned life into an unending quest for convenience and pleasure. Twenty years later, something occurred that could not have been foreseen. The post-war generation, who had everything, had been transformed into a new breed of malcontents. They were disgruntled souls. Large on talk, they propounded radical philosophies and opinions on everything from sex to politics. Everyone had an opinion, but they were generally unenlightened opinions. Over the next two decades, television brought the philosophies of the 60’s into every home in America, and the erroneous ways of this generation were made to seem normal. What had once been socially taboo was now portrayed as socially acceptable. Out went religion, the traditional family, decency, and God. In came a variety of lifestyles, beliefs, and movements that sought to redefine society. From pro-choice to political correctness, from radical feminism to New Age, from homosexual rights to white collar crime, the economic and intellectual fruits of the post World War II era backfired. By the 1970’s, the free West had become the wild and dangerous West. Like communism, the people were becoming slaves to a tyranny, not of the body, but of the mind and soul just as Mary foretold. In short, the fruits of humanism and the enlightenment were reaching their peak. To one of her chosen ones, a humble little Italian priest named Father Stefano Gobbi, Mary clearly laid out how the spiritual war had evolved to an entirely new level of understanding: He [Satan] has succeeded in seducing you through pride. He has managed to pre-arrange everything in a most clever fashion. He has bent to his design every sector of human science and technique, arranging everything for rebellion against God. The greater part of humanity is now in his hands. He has managed by guile to draw to himself scientists, artists, philosophers, scholars and the powerful. Enticed by him, they have now put themselves at his service to act without God and against God. Make no doubt about it though, death and the physical destruction of the planet, were still at the center of the war against God, visionaries said. The period between 1955 and 1975 saw a huge escalation in the production of weapons, especially nuclear weapons. And while the Virgin Mary warned at Fatima of the errors of Russia, the visionaries said that America and the rest of the free-world, with its unholy practices, were now as much a potential source for world destruction as for world peace. This was because wherever sin darkens the mind, danger exists. And now, the entire world faced the consequences of hatred and atheism mixed together with modern science and its Pandora’s box of ungodly weapons of mass destruction. This was a worldwide spiritual crisis at the core, Mary now said in her apparitions. And the free nations were now submerged in much of the same darkness as the people in communist countries. The Virgin called it “practical atheism”and said that in the long run this danger could do even more harm than communism. To one Italian locutionist, the Virgin Mary went so far as to reveal that “practical atheism was the greatest evil of the 20th century”(The Virgin Mary to Father Stefano Gobbi, September 2, 1996). In simple terms, the apostasy of faith warned of at Fatima had arrived, and this time it was a worldwide apostasy. And again, its cause was the same; it was the result of the spiritual war being waged on the mind of man. While gradually seducing mankind with materialism, intellectualism and the pleasures of the flesh, Mary explained how over time the forces of darkness had also conducted an onslaught against God, His Commandments and belief in His very existence. This onslaught was against all religion, but especially Christianity. It began during the Renaissance, but starting with the Protestant Reformation, the erroneous philosophies that gave exclusive value to science and reason gradually but effectively, began to dismantle all Christian truth. This happened, the Virgin said, through the misguided belief that human intelligence alone was the sole criteria of truth and through the exaggerated importance of reason, which in turn led to the Protestant rejection of tradition as a source of Divine Revelation. Then, with Scripture established as the sole source of Divine Revelation, an assault on its interpretation was mounted. This resulted in more error, more confusion, more schism and eventually the great apostasy of the late 20th century. Thus, all of this has contributed to another form of atheism, “practical atheism”, which, as Mary noted, is worse than the theoretical atheism of communism. This is because it is not forced on people, but chosen through free will. Perhaps this was what Sister Lucia Santos, the lone surviving visionary of Fatima, was implying when the distinguished author and historian William Thomas Walsh asked her in a 1946 interview about the “spread of communism.”Walsh asked Lucia if communism would take over the whole world. “Yes,”Lucia replied. “Even America?”inquired Walsh. “Even America,”Lucia answered. The West, Mary cautioned visionaries, was at a crossroads. It needed to choose God, not Satan, if it were to survive. It needed to confess its sins. It needed to become holy again if it were to continue to be blessed. This was especially true for America. America had always prided itself on being a “nation under God,”but by the late 1970s, the prophets insisted this was no longer true.

Years ago (in the 1990's), I asked my very holy parish priest after confession (and normally I was the only one there during that half hour on a Friday).

I asked him 'what he thought would happen after the prophesied warning occured which was given to us a Garadandal?'

and Father Pashcal O'Hallaran replied, that he believed the confessionals will be overflowing and so would the masses in those days after the warning but that there would not be enough priests to accommodate the need of the people in that time.

He envisioned that there would be a return to the faith, that would rival any era of great return to the church or any era that saw many new converts but alas he believed the number of priests would be minimal.

And many good priests alive at that time would have to administer to so many that it would be hard for priests to keep up.

Father Pashcal O'Hallaran Pray for us here in Australia and all catholics througthout the world and for all new converts of this time.

Oh Mary concieved without sin pray for us that have recourse to Thee. Amen

    Muzhik,

I once participated on the Fulfilled Prophecy Forum, but was bounced for articulating Catholic positions on various subjects. I believe Catholics are allowed to participate in hopes that we can be "converted", but woe to those Catholics who are able to raise a logical and Biblical-based (imagine that) defense of the Faith! I believe that it is very difficult for Protestants to re-consider their position. Apparently, the early Church Fathers have done a great service in this regard because they demolish the fabricated history of the early Church which most Protestants unknowingly accept. By the way, the moderator who bounced me off their Forum is an ex-Catholic.:(

Using a library computer, I have established a new user on their forum and await the Warning to re-surface and hopefully help in their own conversion.

Safe in the Barque of Peter!
