The kids love it when I bring this out.[not to embrace penance unfortunately] because Christmas is close.
Beautiful Mac,, I thought I would share this with you all as my eldest son (19 years old) and I were talking about it the other day and some of you might like to do this in your own homes my own children find this part of Christmas very special... Every Christmas morning my dear wife lines the children on the stairs eldest to the youngest and they excitedly make there way down to the hall they all gather round the crib in the hall and uncover baby Jesus in the crib my wife lights a candle and we all sing Happy Birthday Baby Jesus.. then the children are allowed in to see what Father Christmas has left them...My wife has done this for 19 years now God Bless her she has installed the Jesus comes first thought pattern especially at Christmas in all my children..
My wife and I encourage the children to make sacrifices for Advent, and then take a tiny ball of cotton wool for each sacrifice, they are then placed under where the crib will lay on Christmas Eve .So the baby Jesus crib sits on this massive layer of wool . Lol, not to sure they stealing wool sometimes ,but oh well, baby Jesus looked pretty comfortable last year in my house[think princess and the pea]
