Padraig I don't know - this is the wrong place for this but I would like to know if Anne the apostle is false. Also called. Direction for our times. It bothers me because it is in our chapel at Adoration. What do you know or think?

I researched the above and I am satisfied-I do not find she is authentic.

It is a while back but as far as I recall Sister Briege McKenna, friend of Popes and perhaps the outstanding world mystic of our times pulled the plug on Anne.

    This was enough for me.

    These things are so difficult.

On the one hand ✋ the risk, the fire of offending against charity and God forbid opposing the Work of God and on the other sitting silent while what can be a charade takes place.

    Sigh

    Well no good whinging

I just think you are doing best leaving this alone.

For some reason the Devil seems to be using Ireland as some kind of aircraft carrier for this stuff.

Your posts reminds me what my mom told me, it goes like this; "Hmm.. why do you keeping dreaming of dead people?" I just told her, I don't know but that I'm praying the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy and pray for our deceased love ones & relatives and all souls in purgatory as one of the Novena's petition day. I had to make an international call to tell her to talk to my aunt for my cousin who died 23 years ago and have masses offer. In my 2nd or 3rd dream of her, she wanted to particularly sit down beside me. I took it as that she wanted me to keep praying for her or that she's praying for me, too. :)

In another dream, I had my bedridden neighbor (my childhood friend's grandma) who I specifically knew had died when I was young (more than 25 years ago). She's in bed, in some pain in her room with white linens and curtain... my friend's mother is in there, too and she's waving at me from the corner of the room that seemed open like a door, I could see through the corner.

My mom, halted me in my story-telling and told me "Just don't come with them in your dreams!" Hehehe... I thought it was funny how my mom protectively reacted, only to know that my childhood friend's mother had died fews years back already. So, I asked my mom to offer mass for them and the forgotten souls in general for me at our parish there.

A friend told me a dream he had shortly after his father, Jock died. He dreamt his father was in a large hospital with many people looking after his father whom he found in a bed.

He believed he had dreamt of his father in purgatory.

Thanks Padraig, Purgatory is what I thought, too. I had to offer mass for them.

In another instance though, I dreamt of my grandfather in black buttoned up polo in a distance. I felt sad he was wearing black that I had to search what saints have said about the different levels of purgatory. I felt some relief that it could mean purgatory but at the bottom coz there is that hope to be in heaven. A lot of prayers needed and masses. He died of lung cancer 20 years ago forgiven by my grandma for my 13 step-aunts/step-uncle.

Now, I'm feeling crazy talking about deceased people.

Well, thanks for this forum... :) I get to express and hopefully share in prayers for our brothers and sisters in Christ who are still in Purgatory.

Jesus and Mary, I love you, please save souls especially those in most need. Amen.

It does feel a little crazy talking about the Holy Souls.

But then again as Christians believe in so many crazy things. That a man was tortured to death and rose three days later, for instance.

Or that a child was Born of a Virgin and was the Son of God..:)

Everything else after that is easey peasey, I think.

I found to my delight a book on my kindle which I had forgotten all about this morning and which I was delighted to refind.

I notice the first thing he says that Devotion of the Holy Souls is more nor less the same as Devotion to the Sacred Heart.

I have always had a great Devotion to the Sacred Heart which I learnt from my mother. Everything ties together.

Wow! I also have devotion to the Two Hearts, the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. I have led a weekly prayer meeting since Nov. 2014.

I just came back full swing in around Nov. 2013 when I felt shouted at my ear to get up and pray. I thought I saw a brown-dressed man floating by my bedroom at first so I covered myself with my comforter, then the shout. I was afraid and just said a prayer under the blanket. It took me days to open the pamphlet of Chaplet of the Divine Mercy that I accidentally found in one of my old purses (I could not even remember how it got there). Another accidental find was a prayer card of St. Padre Pio in my old jewelry box, how it got there also... I don't know, all I'm sure of is I know I have to find that box because I have placed a wooden rosary there from 2007... you know so I could start praying the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy and I finally prayed with tears I could not help from flowing. By the way, the box has just been under the bed not really a long search but has just been there kinda forgotten in time. The most amazing part, the man in brown that scolded me to pray matches St. Padre Pio. I had no clue who he was until that treasure hunt in my old jewelry box!

I knew then that my soul is at stake. I kept my 3 o'clock habit and went to Confession on the 1st Friday of Dec. 2013, offered vigil at the Blessed Sacrament, attended the early dawn 1st Saturday Mass.

I am a work in progress but how it happened it's like a dream... then the dreams of deceased people that I am already praying for plus more.

I think God sets aside certain people for this work. It is their life's work.

    http://www.mysticsofthechurch.com/2012/04/amazing-stories-from-purgatory-and.html

St. Francis De Sales says: “To assist the souls in Purgatory is to perform the most excellent of the works of Mercy, or to practice in a most sublime manner all the works of Mercy together: it is to visit the sick, it is to give drink to those who thirst for the vision of God: it is to feed the hungry, to ransom prisoners, to clothe the naked, to procure for poor exiles the hospitality of the Heavenly Jerusalem; it is to comfort the afflicted, to instruct the ignorant – in fine, to practice all works of Mercy in one. Our LORD considers every work of Mercy exercised towards our neighbor as done to Himself. “It is to Me that you have done it.” – Mihi fecistis. This is especially true of Mercy practiced towards the poor souls.

    Amazing.

Merciful Jesus, please cover the poor souls in Purgatory with Your most precious Blood, that You may cool down their scorching flames. Amen.

    Eternal Father, I offer You the most precious Blood of Your Divine Son Jesus;
In union with all the Holy Masses offered today throughout the world.
For all the poor suffering souls in the prison of Purgatory.
For sinners everywhere. Sinners in the Universal Church.
Sinners in my own home, my own family and myself. Amen.

I understand Jesus promised that the latter prayer will get 1000 souls released from Purgatory every time we say it. Praise God.

Padraig, I will pluck up the courage another time to tell you how mean I was to some poor soul who pestered me for a few years. We were brought up to ignore these type of things, ie spooks.

Today, I will share the good news of what I did in 2013. I requested Holy Masses for all the souls in Purgatory.
I requested the 30 Gregorian Masses. It was done in the November; complete with stipend

At the time, I prayed Jesus to please empty Purgatory, bring them all to Heaven. Since His Mercy is Infinite, and the Gregorian Masses I thought would be the best way to show Jesus, I meant it.

Now you are a discerning man, do you think that is a good idea for another time when I can persuade my husband to let me stipend that much in one go.

I think Julia from all I've read and experienced offering up the Holy Mass is the very best thing you can do for Holy Souls. The next best is to offer up you Holy Communion.

I must admit I very much admire you for doing this. I am more than a bit of a tight wad were money is concerned. So I don';t know why the Holy Souls come calling, they would be better for someone like you who knows how to open your purse.:)

I read a really lovely thing today about all this. I have always had a very great fondness for Kadesh, the Jewish pious practice of praying for the dead. I have just discovered that pious Orthodox Jews actually pray for one month to help get their dead ones on through purgatory into heaven..although of course they do not call it Purgatory.

Kadesh goes as follows, beginning with the Jewish words.

    El , Malei Rachamin.

O God, full of compassion, Thou who dwellest on high! Grant perfect rest beneath the sheltering wings of Thy presence, among the holy and pure who shine as the brightness of the firmament unto the soul of who has gone unto eternity. Lord of mercy, bring him (her) under the cover of Thy wings, and let his (her) soul be bound up in the bond of eternal life. Be thou his (her) possession, and may his (her) repose be peace, Amen.

This is more nor less the same as our,

Requiem aeternam, dona ei(s) , Domine.

Similiar inscriptions are found on the tombs of the earliest Christians. So it looks like ourselves and our Jewish sisters and brothers are singing from the same hymn sheet.

This delights me..we are doing our own Kadesh. How wonderful!!

I am very fond of the Jews and look forward to our first Jewish Pope...prophesied in scripture.

Padraig, please do not even think of a soul coming near me. Sorry, I find that sort of thing dreadful.

To the point of just a couple of weeks ago, considering threatening holy souls with never praying for them again, if they made any noises around me.

I then thought, ah the satan might allow one of his minions to play tricks, to stop me praying, so decided to ask Holy Souls to please respect my dread by not making any noise around me. I would then know it was the satans gang if anything did occur again. LOL

Of course I remember our poor brothers and sisters every day in their journey through the purifying process of Gods' ultimate Mercy in Purgatory.

I have a few tales to share about this. But one thing at a time.
