    I'll say again. IMHO ... the best prayers (besides The Lord's Prayer-n-Hail Mary) are the ones you make-up. I'm betting that God is happy to hear from you ... like a daily conversation with your best friend ... and you don't have to use "Big" words or redundant phrases that sound like they came from the lips of the first Queen Elizabeth! or "Sign-Up" for Novenas that you might forget and then feel depressed about ... what good does that do? I'm sure most folks here say an immediate prayer for any intention they read about here/elsewhere ... even if they don't do a "Reply".
    PS: Don't do Chain Prayers or whatever ... and certainly not with all the addresses of others attached. Hackers Love These!!!!
    LORD, PLEASE HEAR & ANSWER ALL OUR PRAYERS!

    Archbishop Charles J. Chaput of Philadelphia
    I was deeply saddened today to learn of the death of Cardinal Francis E. George, Archbishop Emeritus of Chicago.

    Cardinal George was a close friend over many years, from the time I was a young bishop in Rapid City. We talked often. He was a constant source of good counsel and encouragement. As a fellow religious, he was a model for me of living the Beatitudes well, despite the daily crush of leading a large local Church. As a bishop and a scholar, he was the finest intellect the Church in America has seen in many decades. The only consolation in losing him is knowing that he served the Lord well, and the Lord has welcomed him home.

    On behalf of the Church in Philadelphia, I extend prayerful condolences to Cardinal George's family and many friends as well as Archbishop Blase J. Cupich and the priests, religious, and lay faithful of the Archdiocese of Chicago.

    I ask the people of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia to offer prayers for Cardinal George, and our priests to offer Masses for the repose of his soul. All of us are very grateful for the gifts of his life and service to the Universal Church. May God grant him the gift of eternal life, and give peace and consolation to all those who loved, admired, and respected him.

    Agree yet, we have the right and the duty given to us by God to discern what is right and just for His holy people and should select a presidential candidate that would most likely follow His Will, if the election should come to fruition.

    Yes, the Father chose me to grow up in what is now only the remnants of a republic. Of late, I have been following Dr. Ben Carson. He is sensible and unfettered by monied lobbyists, or Party leadership. The latter probably means he won't succeed in winning the nomination, but I prefer to back a statesman before a career politician any day. This is not the answer, but my duty before God.

    Safe in the Father's Arms!

    Great opinion piece here from Pat Buchanan on the ridiculousness of removing a statute from it's place of prominence at a Catholic University. He nails it right here:

    "According to SLU Assistant Vice President for Communications Clayton Berry, “some faculty and staff … raised questions about whether the sculpture is culturally sensitive.” Senior Ryan McKinley is more specific: “The statue of De Smet depicts a history of colonialism, imperialism, racism and of Christian and white supremacy.”

    But if the founder of Christianity is the Son of God, then Christianity is a superior religion. What Ryan and those faculty and staff seem to be ashamed of, uncomfortable with, or unable to defend, is the truth for which Saint Louis University was supposed to stand."

    I wish it were that simple. Unfortunately, even though "Catholics" make up a large percentage of voters, I think the vast majority are as secular as ever. I don't the exact stats, but I'm pretty sure Obama win or got a fairly high percent of the so called Catholic vote in both of his elections. Interesting is when they compared regular Church attendess they overwhelming voted against Obama. So, in a sense, we already have a "schism", albeit a political one in the Church. I really don't think the solution is political anyhow. I've long ago given up on politicians. It will come down to pray, repentance and conversion. It will need to rely on the supernatural intervention of Heaven. While I don't think this idea of a nationwide exorcism is practical, it certainly signals where we are and the type of help we need

    Ah, sinful nation,
    a people laden with iniquity,
    offspring of evildoers,
    sons who deal corruptly!
    They have forsaken the LORD,
    they have despised the Holy One of Israel,
    they are utterly estranged.

    Why will you still be struck down,
    that you continue to rebel?
    The whole head is sick,
    and the whole heart faint.
    From the sole of the foot even to the head,
    there is no soundness in it,
    but bruises and sores
    and bleeding wounds;
    they are not pressed out, or bound up,
    or softened with oil.

    Wash yourselves; make yourselves clean;
    remove the evil of your doings
    from before my eyes;
    cease to do evil,
    learn to do good;
    seek justice,
    correct oppression;
    defend the fatherless,
    plead for the widow.

    “Come now, let us reason together,
    says the LORD:
    though your sins are like scarlet,
    they shall be as white as snow;
    though they are red like crimson,
    they shall become like wool.
    If you are willing and obedient,
    you shall eat the good of the land;
    but if you refuse and rebel,
    you shall be devoured by the sword;
    for the mouth of the LORD has spoken.” (Is 1:4–6, 16-20).

    As I recall, the "Catholic" Democrat Party Vote was "only" 45% in Election 2012 down from 50+ % in 08.
    http://www.pewforum.org/2012/10/11/the-catholic-swing-vote/
    When near half of American Catholics vote Democrat at a time when it has become obvious, to even the most ignorant, that the Democrat Party has become synonymous with Abortion, Gay "Rights" and Suppression of Believers, ...... "Houston we have a problem"! I think Miker quipped here that it's too late for politicians and I suspect he is correct. Some here may recall that Pope Benedict refused to allow the Far left Democrat CA Rep, Nancy Pelosi, any Photo-Ops during an audience with him. The message he was sending her and other phony Catholic politicians was: I will not allow you to use me in your re-election campaigns to confuse and mislead the Faithful over your, contrary to Catholic Faith, support of abortion/gay "marriage"!
    Pope Francis is coming to the USA in a few months...... One year prior to what may be a very critical USA Election..... There will be huge attention to what he says, who he glad-hands-n-back-slaps with and those allowed Photo-Ops. If the Pope spends an inordinate amount of his time "Hanging-Out" with FarLeft Democrat Politicians, liberal clergy and front groups that are blatantly Anti-Catholic, .... well! ...... The over used excuse of "Jesus "Hung-Out" with sinners too" ain't gonna cut-It!

    GOD GUIDE POPE FRANCIS AND ALL HERE!!

    Well then the Popes trip to the USA will need lots of prayer prior to it similar to how he asked for lots of prayer in the lead up to the next synod.

    If you ever watch a Papal Mass, papa Francis never gives out Communion. Why? Its his practice since a Bishop in Argentina to not be a photo op for any politican.

    Last Fall watching a Papal Mass on EWTN the translater made the above statement.
    As you frequently note Time is short God save ALL here that is what papa Francis is trying to do. Your tiered of "hes reaching out to sinners" well you have the mustard seed already so why be disturbed? When the true anti Christ appears, will are beliefs in Catholicism vanish....God Forbid!
    Rome is the safest boat for sure!
