While sitting and singing "One Bread, One Body" with my sister Marie last night (she is still on a ventilator and medically induced sleep) she opened her eyes, looked at me and started crying. She answered me with yes/no head shakes and shoulder shrugs. Truly beautiful site to see. Praying that she can come off the ventilator soon.
Thank you all for praying for Marie! God in his awesomeness has given many miraculous moments. Not only did Marie recover from a "Lazarus moment" of being clinically dead for 8 minutes, brought back through CPR had open heart surgery, ventilator and medical induced coma. God surprised both doctors and the doubters as they were believing that she would have extensive brain damage if she survived. Her ventilator was taken out and medical induced sedation diminished, tests and scans done on Sunday with no signs of brain damage. By this morning she is chatting up a storm and anxious to be out of the hospital. Thank you all for being Marie's prayer warriors.
