2016 Presidential Election Thread

While we are all elated that Hillary will not be POTUS, I am convinced we do not want to take our eye off the ball and declare victory. The greatest indicator of the current moment, in my mind, is 1) what is happening within the Church from the top down, 2) what will the UN with BO do within the next 2.5 months to make sure their long fought agenda's are not set back by new leadership. My take is that their evil empires will not go down quietly not matter the deception that is taking place. Their ideologies are not just passive in nature, but the very core is diabolic, a complete domination of people and a collapse of the past civil structures. They have all the money, power and will to execute global tribulation and withstanding world war. Now is the time to be most vigilant, watchful and prayerful so as not to be caught off guard in all the frenzy. The Year of Mercy is one more Sunday away from us and then comes God's Justice (St. Faustina).

 

I have been reading on the forum today several parents who are worrying about their children who have strayed from the Catholic Church. One thing to remember is that as parents you have a special bond and authority over your children. If you have children, especially young ones, you can consecrate them to Our Lady and she will watch over them. This could be very important as we enter the storm and we are all tested to the limits of our faith.

You are right. Thank you! Sometimes (well, often). I get into a negative thinking pattern and can't break out of it without help. I really do have nothing to worry about if I trust. Thanks for reminding me! I should save your posts here and read them everyday.

 

One of the five intentions of the First Saturdays Devotion is to make reparation for failure to implant in the hearts of children the knowledge and love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. If, as Praetorian says, parents consecrate their children to The Immaculate Heart and let then know that this has been done for them then the time will come, in the knowledge of this, when they will be grateful for Her Maternal Care and will in turn, pass on this knowledge and love to their own children. As Mary said in Akita "I alone am able to still save you from the calamities which approach."

 

This is a wonderful point to bring up for us parents who are worried for our children. I have 5, but only 3 of them were old enough to do the St Louis de Montfort consecration to Jesus through Mary with me last year (they are 9, 7, and 5). As an outward reminder of our consecration, we wear chain bracelets . So far we have prayed the rosary and Divine Mercy chaplet every day - going strong
Unfortunately I have no authority over my husband to consecrate him, like I do with my children..... I just have to stick with prayers, faith, and trust

 

Many of my "Catholic" friends and relatives on Facebook - most of whom I had suspected of being Catholic in name only - have showed their true colors following this election. The hate and vitriol against Trump supporters is truly demonic. We must not waver in our prayers and sacrifices now that Trump is elected. I sense that the Demon knows his 100 years of greater power is running out. 2017 can't come soon enough.

 

Divine mercy you may not have spiritual authority over your husband but you do have the sacrament of your marriage which mean you are one in flesh. You can do the consecration for your husband through the sacrament in his stead.
A very holy priest explained this to me a few years back. I have done it. I receive communion for him claiming the sacrament and that we are one. Since I started doing this he has moved greatly in his faith. Not long after I consecrated him to Mary he started praying the rosary with me and the kids which was a miracle!!!

 

This election has exposed the divisions and traitors that were hidden under the surface, especially within the Church. For example, a good priest like Father Frank Pavone is now being viciously attacked by Catholic bloggers and Catholic authorities for having made a video with an aborted fetus being prepared for burial rites in order to draw attention to the gravity of abortion. Rather than being shocked by child murder, these Catholics are shocked that Pavone would dare show America the truth. Oh, the hypocrisy!!!!!!!

 

Many times Fr. Pavone and his priests have rescued murdered infants from a dumpster and lovingly prepared their bodies for a Mass and sacramental burial. I believe Father, in exasperation, wanted to show the ugly truth of abortion. Now he's virtually on trial.

 

You are consecrating yourself to Mary, so she will look after your children. you pray for her intentions as close to daily as possible and she will keep a special watch over your children's salvation. remember your prayers are augmented and she won't let you down. bucket head knows your fears and worries and can take hold of your imagination that they won't make it to heaven. as I heard on EWTN once, FEAR is an acronym that stands for Fabricated Events Appearing Real, and that is what bucket head does with your imagination. defend this with what TRUST stands for, which is True Resolve Under Severe Testing. I repeat both these to myself when I worry about a family member not cooperating with God's grace that will secure their salvation. we just have to pray and trust in our lady.

 

NEVER NEVER did Bush say that. That was a completely fabricated line a liberal website started... that was disproven years ago. He NEVER said that.

Fear knocked, Faith answered, there was no one there.

Faith is believing you can push a wheel barrow across a high wire.
Trust is getting into the wheel barrow.

Faith is an entrustment of the will.

It would be nice if Pope Francis came to the defense of good priests like Father Frank Pavone for once.

As a side note, I have lost all respect for Mark Shea over his treatment of Father Pavone.

 

Honestly, I haven't liked Mark Shea for awhile. He says things quite often that lack Christian charity, especially considering that many Catholics read what he says

I saw someone from MoveOn interviewed on one of the news channels. What they're doing is recruiting for future protests as the new government introduces laws they don't want. It's classic stuff for Soros backed organisations. They whip up fear and then exploit it to form pressure groups similar to what happened with the Catholic Spring groups.

It was good to see Reince Priebus show up Erin Burnett on CNN for the way the media are acting as a propaganda agent for these protesters.
