2016 Presidential Election Thread

60 Minutes did a segment on the election and how Ohio has predicted the winners of the Presidential elections for the last up-teen years (since 1964, hmmm that's interesting) but this year Ohio is revealing that the candidates are in a dead heat. The bottom line is that not too many people in Ohio are excited about either candidate. They want someone they can trust and they don't really trust either of these candidates.

I think Charlie Johnston is on to something with this election. Dead heat or slight edge....there will be mass protests and violence from both sides in either case....Martial law by Obama? Neither gets in in the long run?

Did this gentleman think that this message means that Trump will win (please, Dear Lord!) or just that he'll be the one to sound the alarm about Hillary?

 

I have been trying to be as charitable as I can too. It is not always easy. I have a strong temper and when roused it can get pretty aggressive. Needless to say with everything that is going on in the Church I find myself getting quite full of ire at times.

A couple of years ago when I first came back to the faith I was a bit heavier handed with my criticisms than I am now. One time in particular I bad mouthed Cardinal Dolan several times. Then shortly after that, he was one of the 13 prelates who signed the document that was handed to the Pope before the Synod began saying that the Church must affirm traditional marriage, etc.

I felt so ashamed. We don't see everything that is going on behind the scenes. Yes we need to keep abreast of everything that is happening but we should all try to remember to judge actions and not the people. That is for God to do. Sometimes it is hard to separate the two. When I can't I keep my mouth shut Which is most of the time.

This is not a criticism of you Dolours. I find many of your posts informative. In fact my thinking is pretty much in line with yours about many things. I just thought since you brought up Cardinal Dolan it seemed a good time to interject something we should all keep in mind.

One thing that helps is to know that this is all part of God's plan. He either wills or permits every action that occurs. Just like it was fitting for Him to be betrayed and crucified, He feels it is fitting His Church should also be betrayed and crucified. We may not understand why, but on some level we should appreciate that it is His will even if we don't understand it. Indeed we should be honored that he has chosen us to accompany Him on this journey.

 

The prophecy does speak about "election" (see text below it) and "my purposes and plans prior to the election". So I hope it is.

 

Don't think, but believe it. God can and will do it if we have enough faith and pray enough. We have to trust in His power to save us, as said in the urgent prayer below received by Vassula on February 13th, 2016:

Perhaps better not take that second video of mine (of the anymous person) into consideration. But I cannot delete that video anymore.

 

I don't think you did anything wrong posting that. I should have been clearer, at the bottom of another video viewers posted their comments and many comments expressed utter contempt for Hillary. I believe that our nation has not been this divided in years, it is very sad.

Vote rigging has begun:

REPORT: VOTES SWITCHED FROM TRUMP TO HILLARY IN TEXAS
"She voted straight Republican and the vote had changed to Clinton!"

Residents of at least two cities in Texas are complaining that they voted for Donald Trump only to see the voting machine switch their ballot to Hillary Clinton.

Early voting for the 2016 presidential election started yesterday for people in some areas who have been given the opportunity to avoid the long lines on November 8.

However, in Amarillo, a woman was shocked to see her ballot flip from Republican to Democrat.

“Gary and I went to early vote today,” wrote Lisa Houlette on Facebook. “I voted a straight Republican ticket and as I scrolled to submit my ballot I noticed that the Republican straight ticket was highlighted, however, the Clinton/Kaine box was also highlighted!”


“I tried to go back and change and could not get it to work. I asked for help from one of the workers and she couldn’t get it to go back either. It took a second election person to get the machine to where I could correct the vote to a straight ticket,” she added.

Meanwhile, in Arlington, Texas, another voter reported a similar experience.


“I had a family member that voted this morning and she voted straight Republican,” wrote Shandy Clark. “She checked before she submitted and the vote had changed to Clinton! She reported it and made sure her vote was changed back. They commented that It had been happening.”

Social media forums are also ablaze with concerns about votes being switched.

“Multiple reports on my Facebook, Periscope, Snapchat, and Twitter from my friends in Texas, and all of them had their vote switched to Clinton automatically,” one post on The Donald Reddit is headlined.

The reports are alarming, especially given the fact that the media, Hillary Clinton’s campaign and even President Obama himself have all attempted to dismiss Donald Trump’s concerns about vote rigging as a baseless conspiracy theory.

A good person to ask about reports of vote rigging in Texas would be Texas Director of Elections Keith Ingram, but given that he ran away from our reporters – that might prove to be difficult.

Hasn't Soros some connection to the company providing the voting machines to many of the states? Technology is so easily 'fixed', which is presumably why the old method of ticking boxes with a pencil has become unfashionable.

 

Horrible! They must hold on to the paper, I would assume, or how could they have a valid recount/audit? If the original ballots disappear, it should be grounds to have a revote. Have we ever done a revote? Geez, this is crazy. Some democracy this is in which they are rigging the debates, rigging the news, rigging the voting, etc.

I hope one of the major networks at the very least runs that story about the debates which Elisa posted before the election, people should know. Then of course, a major audit needs to be done of this election.
