Here, in the Pope Francis thread, is a better place for the video I recently shared regarding the SSPX's stance towards Pope Francis. My apologies for reposting this. However, I think here is a more suitable thread for it. I also think this video is of huge importance regarding the crisis of the Holy Catholic Church and Pope Francis in particular. The short video also discusses the SSPX's stance towards Archbishop Vigano in relation to his recent leaning towards sedevacantism, perhaps in the form of beneplenism, the notion that Pope Benedict XVI was a true pope. (I find beneplenism an acceptable form of sedevacantism. Classical sedevacantism, i.e. the notion that there were no true popes since 1958, has never convinced me.) I must say that I very much honour and value His Excellency Archbishop Vigano. In particular, he was about the only prelate who warned publicly about the experimental genetic manipulations called 'Covid-vaccines'. Regarding Archbishop Vigano's recent stance of not recognising Pope Francis as pope, I am torn between his sedevacantism/beneplenism and the SSPX's stance of recognise and resist ("R&R"). Archbishop Vigano's sedevacantism might well be the correct position. However, I am inclined to find R&R more prudent, as it avoids the risk of schism, whilst also avoiding any heresies of Pope Francis. I am sorry if this contradicts my previous positions. Previously, I have been leaning towards sedevacantism in the form of beneplenism. Now, I am reorienting myself, but I am still willing to learn more, and I am prepared to take correction again. The crisis in the Holy Church we are facing is huge and complex, and I am only a layman. There is probably no human solution to the crisis of the Church. We may have to just endure with our Rosaries. But in summary, I am inclined to think that R&R is the most prudent stance towards Pope Francis whilst the crisis remains unsolved. This short video of 30 June 2024 explains R&R and the background very well. The gist of it is provided from the 24 minute-mark. God bless all here! We keep offering our family Rosaries for this forum, and its members, and all your loved ones.
Perhaps this is comparable to the act of Paul VI in abandoning the use of the papal tiara in November 1964. In the case of Francis, I wonder if his successor will follow the new rules to prepare his funeral.
Pope Francis has announced the date for The canonization of Carlos Acutis. https://www.ncregister.com/cna/pope...-giorgio-frassati-during-jubilee-celebrations
Thank you for posting this. I have a special place in my heart for Carlo -- he was born the same year as my oldest son.
'Pope Francis' has attacked the Franciscans of the Immaculata, the Sons of the Most Holy Redeemer, Cardinal Burke, Cardinal Mueller, Bishop Strickland, the Traditional Latin Mass, etc. But he does not want to be seen as "a person of power". Ridiculous. Our Lord will judge him. God bless all here.
I am so excited for Bl. Carlo Acutis' canonization! If I could take my kids to Italy for it, I would in a heartbeat!
A future pope will need to sort out each and every act of this “pontificate.” Even its “canonizations” will be called into question.
I think this video interviewing Dr Howard is outstanding. I recommend watching. His analysis on Gaza is so clear. https://www.youtube.com/live/LUThpf8aHsU?si=MLNvvdRPTXj6yFw3
At a sermon at Church today, Father said that even though Our Good Lord rebuked St. Peter ("get behind me, satan"), he did not remove St. Peter's authority as the first Pope. So, we must learn from this that there have always been popes who are lacking, even during the time of Our Lord himself. We must be careful not to be misled by them, but at the same time, we have to accept their authority as Pope, according to our main parish priest. God bless all here! You continue to be in one family Rosaries!
Is Francis the Pope? In a talk at LifeSite's Rome Life Forum in Kansas City, John-Henry Westen addresses the growing confusion within the Catholic Church, examines both sides of the debate over whether Pope Francis is actually the pope, and draws our attention to a Fatima prophecy that foretold a great battle over marriage and the family.

if the Pope wants to fight oppression of "trans people", why not invite someone who faces ACTUAL oppression ie; has survived murder attempts by hate groups? it would be legitimate to prevent murders. a world-acknowledged , possible many-million dollars person is hardly oppressed. just spitballing.
I just don't want to think even about him. Such a horror picture, I am a totally normal Catholic who goes to Mass every day and does the best he can. As a layperson I have no responsibility whatsoever about what he gets up to. For a priest or Bishop or Cardinal it is different; they must speak out. Very, very, very few ever have. they will gave to answer for this at the Judgement Seat of God and may God Have mercy on them for their cowardice. What can I say about Papa Frankie? Even to look at him fills me with utter horror. I just ugh. Blurb> Boke. It just makes me so much happier and at peace not to even think about the guy. Just a horror picture
