anyone anticipating great things to come this fall or do you thing we have a ways yet? In so much pain and hoping for a miracle. Maybe I'm suffering because her heart will triumph soon? Could be wishful thinking. Would love to hear your thoughts!
I can relate to your suffering AG. I also think I have been experiencing struggles because it is someway connected to God's will for the world at the moment or maybe the triumph as you mentioned. We seem to be at a turning point, like Our Lady mentioned recently. But there seems to be a lot of good out there in the world at the moment too.

I think many are suffering right now as heaven requires whatever sacrifice it can get, willingly or not, for the salvation of souls. I feel that time is short but I am happy to just wait it out and see if anything unfolds this fall. Part of me hopes something will happen to bring about big change in this world.
Many people (including Mark Mallett) have observed that a restrainer to sin was lifted a few years back. It seems since around 2006 that something was up and not quite right and that a shift had taken place and sin seemed more obvious and explicit in our culture. Ever since the restrainer has been lifted it seems that sin has infected practically every area of life to the point of almost being demonic. Perhaps God is allowing sin to burn itself out before the Triumph? It would be nice to return to the old way when sin was not unrestrained.
When I clicked on this thread, Sparrow, yours was the first post that filled my screen, and that very first line stood out. I have come from a bad day at work, very cut up about it, shocked and bewildered. To see that line of your post, I wonder if God is trying to explain why this day had to come to me.
I don't remember Mark Mallett actually referring to the restrainer as being to do with 'personal sin' as such. But I have thought the 'restrainer' was more to do with God no longer holding back the effects of our sins on us as a society. And it seemed to me that the change which started came about after the year 2000. It seemed that the muslim influx to Europe and USA started since the year 2000. It seems to have grown in the years since, and although it has caused countries to slowly realise the destruction to the Christian Civilised nations, the governments and the media is deliberately not reporting the crime and violence that is growing out of control in our once Christian civilised world. We used to be known as the first world, and the uncivilised countries known as the third world. Now, we are plagued with violence and crimes are becoming a normal part of life. I feel the 'restrainer' is more like a punishment (no longer restrained) being permitted by God to societies who have turned their back on Him. And the muslims will be the tool used by God for this purpose. Of course I may have a completely wrong understanding of all this.
I feel much pressure and feelings like a clamp or crown of thorns around my head sometimes. I do hope for some relief soon, hopefully this fall. I'm not too bad really compared to some awful suffering in the world. I get relieve form threads such as this though. Bring on the turing point whatever that will be.
We must always remember that EVERYTHING is grace (borrowed from St. Therese) and the more it can be used to offer up for sinners to save souls, the better! I must always remember this as I always catch myself complaining and I have much to learn in offering it all up myself! St. Therese, pray for us all!
My better half and I agree that it may just be the Muslims who will be our oppressors, the tool with which we are taught humility. They are the only ones having large families, they are vocal about bringing their laws to our lands and the gov. (in Canada anyway) is totally caving in to their bringing their way of life here (the same one they are fleeing their own countries from). In fact I have seen many videos of westernized Muslims asking why we are allowing this as that IS why they fled their own country and came here in the first place. Why aren't we hearing the feminist groups stand up against sharia law as it totally suppresses women? And gay people as well? They are not accepted in sharia law either. I watched a video last night on a gay group protesting FOR Muslim immigration - when the reporter tried to ask why, as gays are not accepted, they are actually thrown off of rooftops in Muslim countries, they just got violent... Very strange.
Diabolical disorientation and a rabid hatred of our culture's Christian roots. That is the only explanation for such attitudes. They will find out perhaps at some point how Islam hates them. It will be a sad bad day for them if that comes about.
I suppose each part of the world has it own "oppressors". Here in the USA it is the radical leftists, which used to be called "liberals, progressives, modernists" and now atheists. It is Freemasonry. It is a God of your choice, whether your god is money, sex, drugs, materialism, etc..... We have been oppressed in our land with everything to replace the one true God the Holy Trinity. While violence is the enemy of many parts of the world, ours over the past 50 years, has been not unlike the pleasures of Sodom and Gomorrah thanks to TV, Hollywood and carnal pleasures of all kinds. The thing that "freedom" has brought us. A slow death of the soul infected and spread even from within our clergy over the many decades now. This is the sorrow Jesus saw in the garden. It is the sorrow his faithful see and feel now. It is a loneliness that Jesus felt in the garden. But ours is only just begun. Most are just seeing the first fruits of this evil in our country, especially since Trump was elected. The radical's are now unmasked. They thought Hillary was going to take us around the rest of the bases to home and score their victory. They have become unhinged. Unmasked. Just as the hierarchy within the Church is at the moment. This is a gift in one way, to be able to clearly see who the enemies of the faith are and many are sitting next to us in the pews or on the altar. The pain in the garden of Gethsemane is in our own midst now. But, we have the weapon from heaven (rosary) and the armor (scapular) and all the graces necessary to fight the good fight. We still have the Eucharist (at least for a while yet) as our nourishment of the soul. We are not defeated, we have just taken a turn to clearly see around us who is in battle with us and who we are battling against.
Great post yes there is an " unmasking" going on in every sector of our culture and as you say in our Church and as horrifying as it is we now see exactly what we are facing and that is a grace. The video/song is wonderful. Thank you for posting it.
