This one is a very mixed bag!! The proliferation of heavenly visions etc. is something that we ought to expect from the Bible (Joel 2), but this concerns the false as well as the true... This is especially the case within Protestantism where there is no coherent structure of accountability/authority: if someone accuses you of being deluded in terms of your private revelation, you simply start your own church (which is why there are 32,000 + Protestant denominations)! In other words, anything goes, except of course for strict Sola Scriptura types who deny all private revelation on principle.

Evaluation of subjective accounts without supporting objective phenomena is virtually impossible as people can be utterly sincere and still be deceived as to what they have experienced (intellectual ability is no safeguard against this, it should be added: the 18th century Baron Swedenborg was perhaps one of history's greatest polymaths, but it didn't stop him from being a spectacularly false mystic...).

On one hand in this video there are some interviewees who have proven track records in ministry, validation from respected figures, and who seem like sober individuals (e.g. James Durham, Carlos Sarmiento, Bruce Allen), while on the other there are those whose visions clearly contain major error and simply sound like the projection of their own religious imaginations and denominational prejudices. Cases in point are Angelica Zambrano (who supposedly found out that John Paul II is in hell!) and Sori Park, who was told of the heresies of Catholicism by 'Jesus' and even 'Mother Theresa', confessing her mistake of having prayed to the Blessed Mother while she was alive!!

I'm not going to link to it -- if you want to read it you can Google it yourself. When I describe apparitions and locutions to non-Catholics, I usually say something like, "Apparitions are where you see things that other people can't see. Locutions are where you hear people that aren't there." I wonder if Sori Park was ever seen by a physician.

 

You are very right Peter. The beginning seems to be ok, but then, I also have strong doubts. Somebody made a mixture of some testimonies. To everyone: just take the first part into account if you wish to, forget the rest. Now I am going to rest, because I have a big flu and much fever and this in summer time...

I notice that the 40 new missiles Russia is building are ICBM's, which if I understand it right are the very big ones than can cross the Atlantic. In other words are meant for the USA rather than Europe.

I'm guessing that there will be a "Last Minute" extension/phony restructuring plan to keep the EU "House of Cards" from collapsing. It's good for the USA, at the moment, as investment funds are flowing here from Europe but soon even the dullest among us will have to figure out that most of the Economies of Planet Earth are based on Massive Debt, Derivatives and "Smoke-n-Mirrors" accounting ............ I had posted a thread titled, "Signs pointing to New Madrid Fault in October?" In it, I described the possible "splitting up" of America after America participates in the division of Israel. However, the EU would also be participating in this division, and so would also be divided, itself. It's possible this domino started by Greece would be the way the EU would be punished for oppressing Israel.

Actually, the problems with this particular YouTube video start pretty early with Choo Thomas (around 2:00), a Korean-American woman who was the author of a best-selling book entitled Heaven is so real published in 2003. Having taken a look at this, while I'm sure that she was a very pious lady and that her concern to evangelize was sincere, the success of Heaven is so real raises lots of questions... Despite its being one of the most contentless accounts in the genre that I have yet come across, it was prefaced by David Yonggi Cho, pastor of the world's largest congregation (the 800,000(!!) member Yoidi Full Gospel Church in Korea). So this matters...What Cho thought he was doing when he wrote enthusiastically that he had learnt a lot about heaven from the book - and had read through it three times(!?!) - I really don't know. How he could have taken seriously a set of stereotypical 'heavenly' visions in which Jesus supposedly shows Choo Thomas the reward awaiting her: a luxurious house and red car - is beyond me, as is why Charisma House should have published it, bringing this type of literature into disrepute and handing ammunition to the 'Sola Scriptura' constituency who (wrongly) insist that all post-Biblical private revelation is false by definition.

All I can say is that the sad case of Choo Thomas - analogous to the mystifying popularity of Kat Kerr's materialistic visions of heaven today (to which even Michael Brown of Spirit Daily put a link at one point!!) - demonstrates the Kindergarten level of maturity of many in the Pentecostal/charismatic evangelical wing (despite their undoubted dynamism) and the urgent need for them to be reconnected with the authentic tradition of historic Christianity if what is genuine in their spiritual experience is not to be derailed.

 

Nobody is quite sure what the level of exposure to Greek debt is in international financial institutions and just what the ramifications of the much-dreaded 'Grexit' may be, but what is certain is that there are 'too big to fail' banks which appear to be on the edge of doing just that - failing. And top of the list is Deutsche Bank, whose $75 trillion derivative exposure is twenty times more than German GDP. All the signs, including the recent sudden departures of both directors and head of real estate, are that the noose is rapidly tightening around DB's neck, not least because of its misdemeanours in terms of market manipulation. Last week their ratings were downgraded to three notches above 'junk' status, which as some commentators are pointing out is exactly what happened to Lehman Bros three months before the 2008 crash. Brace for impact...

There is something odd about the Greek Prime Minister , Alexis Tsipras, Peter.


I watched a bio on him on BBC Radio 4 just after he got elected. He down a lot of his studies and teaching in the UK. They interviewed people who knew him. The young people , the students were crazy about him, he has huge charisma (the same kind of young people who got him elected in Greece.

But his peers his fellow Professors and Lecturers spoke about him having a ruthless coldness and deadness to his character when seen up front.

I believe he exhibits the characteristics of a spiritual pathology of Perfect Possession....of perfect evil.

I suspect they always planned to default on Greek debt and to leave the EU. Not because he is a Marxist but because he is working for the evil one and some kind of grouping of which he is a member. In other words I very strongly suspect he is a very high Satanist.
