Yes, and so what? Can Jews perhaps never become Christians? Most of the First Christians were Jewish Christians, i.e. the Apostles etc. Prez. Zelensky is also a Jewish Christian, otherwise he would not have called Jesus as Christ, said He is Risen, said Mother Mary's Powerful Intercession is Invincible etc.

Again, pls read what Prez. Zelensky referred to as Orans or Oranta, that is an Eastern Christian way of referring to the Theotokos or the Mother of God, and Her Powerful Prayers: "The image is considered one of the greatest sacred symbols in Ukraine, a palladion defending the people of the country. It has been called an "Indestructible Wall" or "Unmoveable Wall".[4] Legend says that as long as the Theotokos is extending Her arms over Kyiv, the city will stand indestructible." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orans_of_Kyiv

Ukraine is a 90% Christian Country, and Protestants like Carlson etc don't get it. Ukraine is mainly Orthodox and Catholic, and thus very devoted to Mother Mary.

Granted that Ukraine has driven Russia back from (1) Kyiv, (2) Kharkiv and now (3) Kherson, and recovered over 50% of the territory Russia unjustly usurped or illicitly stole from it, maybe, just maybe, that's not so much of a legend after all. Prez. Zelensky invoked the Mother of God to protect his Country, and She is answering, and vindicating him before all naysayers, for, as St. James says: "The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective" (Jam 5:16).

    In Christ,
    Xavier.

A nuanced and balanced take on what has been going on in the eight year war in Ukraine and the persecution of ethnic Russians in Ukraine.

Garabandal, I find Colonel Douglas MacGregor to be the most sane voice in this terrible situation. There's no denying the fascist element in Ukraine but I think that some people opposed to America's involvement (Max Blumenthal for example) overdo their emphasis on that element. Colonel MacGregor gives a far more balanced analysis. Colonel MacGregor has a channel on Youtube. One of the best interviews he has given on the topic was on his channel today but it has disappeared now. Perhaps Youtube didn't like it or perhaps he chose to remove it. It's a pity because he gives some historical context to how Ukraine has arrived at this point.

In another interview Colonel MacGregor gave to a Norwegian, he suggests that it is possible that General Milley was covering himself - that he can always say "I warned them" if things go belly-up should the Ukrainians not negotiate an end to the war.

Here he is giving an interview on a Canadian channel:

I'm sure that Colonel MacGregor isn't right about everything, but he sounds a lot saner and more practical than any analyst on either side. Actually, he comes across as a very patriotic American who has enough faith in his own country and its people to not believe that their survival depends on being engaged in never ending wars.

Look at the Ukrainian People cheer their own Soldiers.

If we see the Videos, we know they never wanted Russia to invade:

You use the generic term 'Ukranian people' in a generalised sense.

Of course there are many people in Ukraine who are happy that they are liberated.

Except there are Ukranians who are ethnic Russians, many who are not celebrating because they fear persecution.

Ukranians are not one homogenious people - the ethnic Russians make up 17% of the population - some 8 million citizens residing in the east of the country (the largest Russian population outside of Russia). Add to that the ethnic Greeks, Poles, Hungarians & Romanians also residing in the East. Many of them certainly wont be celebrating since under Zelensky there has been an attempt to suppress minorites and the Russian language as well as the use of indiscriminate shelling of these eastern regions.

Remember, Russia invaded Crimea after the Maidan coup but this appears to have backfired on Putin as the popuarity of pro-Russian parties in the east of Ukraine declined dramatically after the annexation of Crimea by as much as fifty percent.

There is no doubt that Putin is a war mongerer and despot but the intervention of the USA in the politics of Ukraine (aka the Bidens) has de-stabalised a whole continent.

I am sorry to say to my American friends but I am beginning to see why other countries call America the 'Great satan'.

Two wrongs don't make a right. Putin is wrong but so is USA foreign policy.

What seems to be happening is linked to Catholic prophecy the Russian bear has been provoked and we are to see Russia over-running a lot of western Europe as far as France.

Of course that seems improbable because the Russian army is not that strong, which makes me suspect that the invasion will involve the use of tactical nuclear weapons and or perhaps a secret weapon the Russians have developed.

This fits in with Padraig's dreams of nuclear warfare in the plains of Hungary.

That Malachy Martin mentioned Ukraine and Kiev in particular may also indicate that we are entering the real Third Secret of Fatima and that Russia will be the instrument that God uses to punish the apostate west. And it could be under these dramatic circumstances that the warning of Garabandal happens 'when things are at their worst'.

Here is the link from Padraig's posts going back to 2014 of his dreams mentioning Kiev, Ukraine, Moscow and Hungary.

    Hi Garabandal.

Ok. Firstly, imo, this War is not about America or any Western country per se. This is about a War in Eastern Europe started by Russia. Russia already invaded Georgia in 2008 and Crimea in Ukraine in 2014. Putin has said he considered the fall of the Soviet Union a "disaster". This was mentioned by Fr. Joseph Bogdan in the article I quoted earlier. Now, he is trying to forcibly capture Ukraine, which declared its independence when the Soviet Union fell.

Please read what the Head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, one of the largest Eastern Catholic Churches, said about the War back in March. He said Russian Troops are committing Genocide and War Crimes on the ground. Just recently, they attacked civilian infrastructure, another War Crime per the Geneva Constitution, and deprived 10 MN people of electricity/power in their homes. The motivation was just to avenge their humiliation in Kherson.

Here is the article: "The head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church accused Russian forces on Monday of committing “genocide” in the besieged city of Mariupol.

In a video message issued on March 21, Major Archbishop Sviatoslav Shevchuk said that civilians were dying “from hatred” in the settlement in southeastern Ukraine known as the “City of Mary.”

“Today we empathize with the city of Mariupol, where a real genocide is taking place,” he said. “People are dying not only from enemy weapons but also from hatred. Hundreds of people are dying of hunger, not only in the city but also in its environs.”

The term “genocide,” coined by Polish lawyer Raphael Lemkin in 1944, was recognized as a crime under international law by the United Nations General Assembly in 1946.

The 1948 Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide defines genocide as the commission of acts “with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group.”

Ukrainian government officials have accused Russia of engaging in genocide since the full-scale invasion launched on Feb. 24. Olha Stefanishyna, one of Ukraine’s five deputy prime ministers, said on March 21 that she believed “the massive murder of the Ukrainian people” constituted genocide.

Mariupol, a city with a population of more than 400,000 before the war, now lies in ruins following Russian bombardment. Bombs are reported to have fallen on a maternity clinic, an art school sheltering hundreds of residents, and a theater where hundreds of others had sought refuge. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has called the assault on Mariupol “a terror that will be remembered for centuries to come.”

Russian officials have denied that civilians are being targeted. On the eve of the invasion, President Vladimir Putin accused Ukrainian forces of committing “genocide” against Russian speakers in the eastern region of Donbas — a claim rejected by the U.S. State Department.

The U.N. human rights office said on March 20 that it had recorded 2,361 civilian casualties in Ukraine, with 902 people killed and 1,459 injured. It stressed that the actual figures were likely to be considerably higher.

In his video message on Monday, Shevchuk said: “Real crimes against humanity are happening in the temporarily occupied territories. Every day we receive news about a real humanitarian catastrophe, about murders, looting, rape.”

“But even there, especially in southern Ukraine, civilians are protesting against the occupying power. People are protesting against their oppressors and murderers, and they show that Kherson and other cities of Ukraine, which are under occupation today, are Ukraine, and they want to live in a Ukrainian, independent, free state.”

He added: “I ask all of us to pray for those people who are forcibly being deported from Ukraine to Russia. We have the facts again of a wave of forcible deportation of Ukrainian citizens to a foreign state. None of us knows what fate awaits them there, because they do not decide for themselves what they are to do.”

The 51-year-old major archbishop, based in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv, has issued daily video messages since the start of the invasion.

In his address on March 20, he said that churches were being destroyed amid the fighting.

“In these 25 days, almost 44 churches and religious buildings have been destroyed,” he said.

“It is strange that the majority of these churches belong today to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate.”

The Moscow Patriarchate is the seat of the Russian Orthodox Church.

In his March 19 message, Shevchuk noted that Catholics in Ukraine and Russia were preparing for Pope Francis’ consecration of the two countries to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on March 25.

Invoking Mary’s intercession, he said: “Receive under your protection our Ukrainian people. As a good mother, help to be victorious over the war in Ukraine.”"

Here's what Ukrainians think about the future of their Country:

    1. "Majority of Ukrainians expect prosperous future in the EU, poll shows
The majority of Ukrainians (88 percent) have said they believe their country will be a prosperous member of the European Union in a decade, according to a poll published by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology on Monday ...Seventy-six percent of respondents there saw the future of their country in the EU. Only five percent said they believed the war would ultimately leave the country with a destroyed economy and provoke a large exodus of Ukrainians."

    From: https://www.aljazeera.com/news/live...-live-updates-zelenskyy-warns-of-more-attacks

    2. see also: "Poll: Nearly 90% of citizens believe Ukraine will be ‘prosperous EU country’ in 10 years

A poll by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) suggested that 88% of Ukrainians “believe that in 10 years Ukraine will be a prosperous country within the EU.” The poll noted that 96% of those in favor are “ready to endure financial difficulties” for three to five years should it result in Ukraine becoming a member of the EU."

    https://kyivindependent.com/news-fe...ine-will-be-prosperous-eu-country-in-10-years

    3. Thirdly, and lastly, Prez. Zelensky enjoys sky-high Approval Ratings in Ukraine. I mean, these days, 50% is considered a great accomplishment for most leaders. But for Prez. Zelensky, it is above 90%, an amazing number.

"Source: "When asked if they believe Ukraine will win the war, 98% said yes. With regard to President Zelensky, 91% of Ukrainians approve of his job performance." https://www.iri.org/news/iri-ukrain...-concessions-and-a-spike-for-nato-membership/

Note this point also, from the above link: "Kyiv, Ukraine – The latest public opinion survey in Ukraine conducted by the International Republican Institute’s (IRI) Center for Insights in Survey Research (CISR) shows that confidence in winning the war against Russia and approval for President Zelensky remain very strong. Most Ukrainians do not believe in conceding any territory and support for NATO membership has spiked."

Ukraine had its challenges/problems just like every other country, but certainly it did nothing to deserve (1) 15 MN people being displaced from their homes (2) 10 MN people not having access to Electricity/Power in their homes.

The numbers above show (1) 98% of Ukrainians believe Ukraine will win the War. (2) 91% approve of support Prez. Zelensky's performance in defending Ukraine. It's considered a great thing if someone has 50% support these days, 90+% is in another ballpark. These numbers also show that the vast majority of Ukrainians - of whatever ethnicity, Russian or Ukrainian - were not being persecuted. A few might have been, and of course I condemn that. But in no way does that justify Russia invading and causing upwards of 20 MN people to suffer, as it has now done. (3) 88% expect a strong and prosperous future in 10 years, and are ready to suffer for 3 to 5 years of financial and other difficulties if need be in order to achieve/attain that future.

    God Bless.

I haven’t read through all of these posts but at a glance I want to say that the evil one appears to be having his day with almost every nation divided currently including Ukraine and th Church. It all makes me feel a bit sick to my stomach but this in the Bible, so there you go. I sometimes find myself holding my tongue with family members etc so I don’t add to the strife. Everyone I speak with knows my position on various topics so I don’t need to best a dead horse so to speak, it’s just not worth it.

Since 2016 Nazi/Ultranationalist groups like Azov have been permitted to be in the Ukranian National Guard and special forces and have been trained by the US and have committed war crimes against many in the Donbass region. Also, many pro Russian forces there have done the same in the present war.

    Pure evil.

Poor Ukraine is a mere pawn in a bigger geo-political battle between Putin and his renewed Imerial ambitions and the aggressive foreign policy of the NWO under the umbrella of US/NATO alliance.

Seems to me that we are headed for a major conflict in Europe as predicted by Catholic prophecy with Russia the means by which God will punish the West.

"If people do not recognize in these scourges (of nature) the warnings of Divine Mercy, and do not return to God with truely Christian living, another terrible war will come from the east to the west. Russia with her secret armies will battle America; will over-run Europe. The river Rhine will be overflowing with corpses and blood. Italy, also, will be harrassed by a great revolution, and the Pope will suffer terribly. (Prophecy of sister Elena Aiello).

Yes all our political leaders are pro abortion including the leader of Ukraine.

Zelenskyy stated that abortion should not be banned, that to get an abortion is a personal choice, and that there needs to be less impingement on human freedom.

Greed and power. It's all about greed and the pursuit of power by people who believe this life is all there is. Herr's an attempt to explain the FTX business:

Bankman Fried and his girlfriend were very well connected.

None of that makes Putin good but as long as everyone is focused on arch enemy Putin and big, bad Russia nobody sees the evil on their own doorstep. Our problem in the West (and it's very likely the same in the East) is that there seems to be an elite group of people in the shadows who actually run things no matter who is elected to public office. They control the masses by instilling fear.

We must never lose sight of the fact that it's in God and not man, that we live and move and have our being. If we do that and remember that every human has an innate dignity we won't be drawn down the road of hatred and seeking vengeance through war.
