I have not been convinced from a couple of month into the lock down. Yes, some people have died who have got the virus; but most deaths seem to have been attributed to Covid, even when Covid was not present, which has kept many people under fear. Vulnerable people like myself seem to have a high risk of death if they get the virus; but I have a high risk of death from most diseases due to a medically suppressed immune system for the treatment of Vasculitis. A far greater fear factor should be how many diseases are being spread in our communities from refugees being sneaked into the country while the citizens are under house arrest, which has to be the only way a lockdown can be understood. Young lives and the economy are the true victims. IMHO
I don't know, Julia I am not a front line worker. So I can't say for certain. But compare it to something like cancer. Someone might say, 'Is it really so widespread?'. Well I would say yes, my mother and father and both grandmothers and sister and many of my uncles and aunts died of it. I know it is widespread because I watched them die, quite literally. But now if you were to say to me, 'Well then has anyone you know died of Covid?' I would have to say, 'No'. But John who does the tech stuff and his family have come down with it and I know another family where the mother and father were quite seriously ill with it. A nurse a few streets over, a mother of a family, died of it. We have a Covid testing station in our hospital with quite ill people coming through and I watched this going on the last few months, I was in there. I know from talking to the staff that the ambulances have been very, very busy bringing folks in. The lady on that video was a care worker and I am not quite sure how much information she would be privy too than general members of the public. So yes I believe it is very, very widespread and serious myself. But I am not the font of all knowledge on the matter
I have followed a traveling nurse from Massachusetts on Twitter since the beginning of the lockdown. She has been assigned to COVID wards in different east coast states since March, 2020, and she has reported the same situation. She is convinced the public is being scammed. Yes people do die from COVID, but our hospitals are not overwhelmed.
Wow, really? How amazing that there is such a grand global conspiracy and that 99.9% of health care workers/doctors are part of it all and keeping silent. Truly amazing that the vast majority of the medical profession in the covid wards are part of the NWO and working to suppress information and implement their globalist take over of the world via a faked virus. (*sarcasm* in case you didn't get it.) 30 years ago a good Catholic philosophy professor told me that sadly most modern people are unable to properly think and use reason. That is why we see such a huge rise of folks clamoring for 'truth' in conspiracy theories nowadays. And the internet just makes it worse because so many people read something then freak out because they think it's true. I could populate YouTube with all sorts of looney stuff and there will always be a part of the population that will eat it up. Just like the secret FEMA camps, government UFO conspiracy crap, and the like. As I've said before on another post somewhere... and even some Catholics go out into la-la land and won't be convinced otherwise... the Bayside Apparitions, et al. is a good example of this. To this day there are people who STILL think all that was real and won't be swayed... Sad really.
Being sarcastic with people of telling them they can't think or reason right or are, 'looney's', won't win them over to your argument. It will just upset them and make them switch you off. But then I presume as someone who believes he does know how to think and reason right you already knew this. The obvious follow on question is, if you already knew this why did you do it? Where is the right thinking or logic?
Yes, you are correct. The logic applies to posting for those who may be pulled into nutty-ness in the hopes that they will resist. Just because it's a forum doesn't mean everyone needs to go along with group-think into paranoia.
No one here is saying the virus is fake. We are saying it is exaggerated. In the UK for example covid is not even in the top 20 causes of death in the last few months. 1.2 million have died of covid worldwide. That is equivalent to previous historical flu outbreaks in 1957-1958 (Asian flu = 1.1 m) and 1968 (Hong Kong Flu = 1m). The worlds population is much greater today at 7.8billion -- That means 0.00015% of the world's population has died of covid. https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/ Let's deal with the facts and you will see a tiny fraction of the global population has died from this pandemic.
Taking a vaccine with a success rate of 90% for a virus that has a 99.6% recovery rate seems foolish.
Franciscan, quit while you are ahead friend. There are such high tensions over this Covid; and fear is stalking the land. Try and be gentle with those who might be very scared while we practice the Jesus Surrender Novena Prayers, as we wait for Jesus to fix this media hyped scary plandemic.
Beginning to ramp up here in Massachusetts. Gov. Charlie Baker is preparing to reopen field hospitals should the state's health care system reach its capacity in what officials are calling second COVID-19 surge. I hope I am wrong, but in light of the recent curfew and restrictions it would not surprise me if Baker decided to impose another lockdown after the Thanksgiving holiday. I am concerned about our churches closing.
Me three. Things are ramping up here in Maryland as well and the governor has instituted limits on gatherings, only 25 may gather. I don't think this includes Catholic churches just yet. I pray not. Will let you know.
Saint Francis de Sales Catholic Church 4 hrs · NOTICE: Religious facilities are limited to 75% per section III a of today’s order. Just saw this from our governor. It's a cut back.
We have already social distanced in our churches, every other row, 6 feet apart if not your family. So I don’t know how this new cutback will play out.
Here in Rhode Island the governor seems to be mimicking Charlie Baker with the restrictions So far our Latin rite priest has added an extra Mass to make it more accessible to the parishioners, that means five Masses on Sunday, whereas the Catholic church down the street from me has pulled all thier morning Masses and just do a 6PM Sometimes it depends upon the priest who is willing to make the sacrifice But the Bishop's really need to take a stand against the shut down The numbers of Covid have gone up because of the non stop testing that was being pushed The hospital's here are not full nor overflowing
I posted this before... Is the virus real... Yep Is it killing people... Yep Will it get worse... Yep Are the facts wrong... Absolutely Are we being lied to... You bet Will satan and his minions use this to their advantage... No brainer Will the spirit of confusion anger hate be used.. Most definitely What's the answer Penance and the rosary Job done... Let's realise people we belong in the same family
That's one of my great concerns with Biden. He has assured he will shut us down again. I had the impression he would take that away from governors. As much as we need a more unified national mentality....keep praying for Trump's litigation!! Granted I pray more for the whole truth to be known and taken seriously!
I will add, are there diseases in our experience which are ALWAYS deadly? Yes yes Are there proven ways to prevent them? Nooo....not enough research!! Granted those are not super contagious. Tell that to family unable to visit relatives with terminal neurological diseases, on those unique horrific journeys. ALS, MS, Parkinsons, Alzheimer's, all other Dementia, etc. Okay, there's my "soap box". Makes me angry. Few want to hear it, so I keep my mouth shut. Wretched media hype
