Over in the "Signs" thread, EarthToAngels posted a link to a story about how the rat population in New Orleans are taking over the streets of the French Quarter. There aren't any people walking the streets, and with the restaurants closed there isn't a lot of food waste for the rats to feed on. So the rats are spreading out in the open.

Video was sad, and disturbing. My son is actually concerned about food shortages in NYC should the situation worsen. I pray this never happens. Testing for the virus in the US was troubled from the get go. It was either unavailable, or results were not always accurate, so no surprise deaths have been under reported. There must be thousands of people who had COVID-19 but were never tested. Hopefully things will improve with the new 15 minute test that is supposed to roll out this week.
