The Tribulation is Upon us.

For the poor people of the Middle East, the Tribulation has certainly already begun. The same is true for many other areas of the world.

For us here in the affluent West, we haven't really been shook yet. I dont think we will believe in its occurring until it hits a big Western country - i mean **REALLY** - hits somewhere. Not a bomb. Not a flood. Something sent from God. A proper not man-made-bring-life-to-a-standstill thingy.

Sure, Australia had/has its fires, but life there goes on, i mean.. they still had their new years eve fireworks. So while its awful, its terrible - the events there haven't brought life for the entirety of that country to a halt. It hasn't altered life irreparably.

Until that happens to one of the big, industrial Western countries, we really wont believe it is here, or that it has started.

    Yes.
    Absolutely.
For us, its only the shadow we are experiencing, of what will come.

One thing you do notice is that all that is happening now and is to happen , happened before. For instance the 40 years of the Tribulation corresponds to the 40 years the Chosen People spent in the Desert.

The 13th of the Month at Fatima matches the 13th of Queen Esther when she saved the Jews from death by her intercession, the fast which Our Lady calls us to to match the fasts of Esther and so on....

Off topic I know but Netflix sure is pushing their show The Two Popes awfully hard. I recently subscribed to them and every time I turn around they are playing the trailer for this show automatically. I've never seen them push a show that hard in the past but it has been a while since I have had a subscription to them.

I recite the 7 sorrows rosary daily (please note, that upon death - the person/soul that has recited this prayer daily is taken directly from this life, straight into heaven) - anyways, I've noticed that each of the 7 sets of prayers is happening or is to happen shortly:
    1. The prophecy of Simeon - reflects upon our lady's sorrow at what will befall her child (and perhaps what is to befall her children in this life).
    2. The Flight into Egypt - reflects upon the hardship involved in remaining with Jesus on this earth then - AND NOW.
    3. The Loss of Jesus for 3 days reflects upon the all-encompassing pain and sorrow involved in losing Jesus. It also offers guidance on what we are to do WHEN we lose Him today - in this life.
    4. The Meeting on the Way of the Cross reflects upon, amongst many many, other things, our ladys sorrow at how her child is treated by the world and how they treat him. This is particularly relevant to how he is treated in today's world.
    5. His crucifixion and death: today, again, they - we - are trying to kill Him.
    6. Our Lady receives His body from the cross: she envelopes Him; she holds him so tight that her grip has to be loosened with 'gentle violence'... Here, she tells us to cling to him. So particularly relevant in our day, in our time...
    7. His burial and the sealing of His tomb; demonstrates her faith even tho he had seemingly/apparently been 'defeated'. In this age it seems also like he has been defeated. Of course, like Our Lady..... We know better!

The above commentary is merely to scratch the surface of the messages in this 7 sorrows rosary. These sorrows are so, so multifaceted when reflected upon. They speak of many things. But, like you mention Padraig - there seems to be an enlightening of sorts, for I've noticed that there are many things, many signs pointing towards something coming, but this something has been exampled, ss you say, before...in the bible. Its almost as if we're being shown how these things have 'happened' in previous generations, and are being advised - strongly advised even WARNED - not to make these mistakes too. I see this when meditating upon the 7 sorrows rosary... I can almost feel it coming. I know how weird that sounds, believe me!

Yes I think of the Book of Ecclesiastes,

'There is nothing new under the Sun'.

That our Journey is like a heart beat going back and forward over and over again; this is one of the very great lessons of Scripture.

That there is no such thing as , 'Modern'.

The second great Sign that we have entered the Tribulation is..

    2. The Great Apostasy and the Fall of the Church.

    Luke 18:8

    The Persistent Widow
…7Will not God bring about justice for His elect who cry out to Him day and night? Will He continue to defer their help? 8I tell you, He will promptly carry out justice on their behalf. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on earth?” 9To some who trusted in their own righteousness and viewed others with contempt, He also told this parable:…

Many might rush to assure me this is not so citing:

    Matthew 16:18

And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.

But this is indulge in a gentle kind of Idolatary placing the Church as , not the Mystical Body of Christ or indentifying the Church as the Papacy itself.

But if only one individual on the face of the Earth, layperson or clergy continued Faithful to the Teachings of Christ their the Church would live.

Man has by his very nature a deep desire to set up idols of every kind. The British thought they had an Empire on which, 'The Sun will never set'. Look it is gone. When Rome Fell the peoples of the civilised world thought the End of the World was upon them. But Rome is gone and the world carries on.

The Church is not Great Buildings or Clerical Princes. The Church is Faith beating in the Heart of Man. Nor is the Church one man , however we exactly him.

The Church has Fallen, only the Faithful Remnant remain. What is to happen to a Church , the salt of the Earth that has married itself to the Spirit of the World?

    Jesus himself taught us:

    Matthew 5:13

“You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless.'

As to Peter; he betrayed Christ once and ran away. His successor has again and denied him . Once again he runs away.

Thankyou Jack. These are beautiful meditations. I pray the 7 sorrows devotion--meditation and a Hail Mary for each sorrow--but I didnt know about the Rosary.

Do you mean chalk as in blackboards/teachers chalk? (n)

If so, for what reason is it blessed?

If something other than school chalk, what sort?

Well, no offense, but folks in the Middle East are always in tribulation. :( I'm nearly desensitized to it (not willingly, nor intending to be callous).

    Yes Padraig,
everywhere we look now days is heresy and propaganda. :(
The saddest thing is that good people are believing, investing their soul in and are blinded by propaganda.

Divine Mercy of Jesus, I trust in Thee.

Thank you Jackzokay for the link.
Over the past year I have been drawn to this devotion and like AED I pray the meditations daily.

I believe this great devotion and rosary to the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Our Mother has been preserved for these last times.

Oh Mary conceived without sin and who suffered for us, Pray for us. Amen

    Yes, regular chalk.
We mark our doors with blessed chalk as a sign that we have invited God's presence and blessing into our homes.
20+C+M+B+20. The first and last numbers refer to the current year. The letters CMB stand for the three kings: Caspar, Melchior, and Balthazar.

  17. We also have been praying, watching and preparing, and we understand that we are to be "watchmen", waiting for God's next move, in particular, His sending the Two Witnesses of Apocalypse 11. They will be His representatives to speak His Truth for the whole world to make that all so important decision: Jesus Christ or the Antichrist. They will be God's instruments who will be, as it says in Daniel 9:27, "confirming the covenant with many, in one week..." That Covenant between God and us, the Covenant in His Blood. Those who listen to them, heed their words and the signs and miracles they perform, can be as the first martyrs of the Church, filled with the confidence of soon meeting our Spouse in Heaven. Truly a momentous time! And everything points to the fact that the time is upon us. You feel it and so do we. No doubt you will have many pilgrims seeking you out who have chosen the right path and are fleeing the persecution. Please pray with us for God to reveal to us and to you to discern if we are to be among your fellow pilgrims and join you.

We have been as in Ezechiel 3:24~27 waiting for the time: " And the spirit entered into me, and set me upon my feet: and he spoke to me, and said to me: Go in; and shut thyself in the midst of thy house.
(V25) And thou, O son of man, behold they shall put bands upon thee, and they shall bind thee with them: and thou shalt not go forth from the midst of them.
    (26) And I will make thy tongue stick fast to the roof of thy mouth, and thou shalt be dumb, and not as a man that reproveth: because they are a provoking house. (
This is where we are now, in the country, on a hill on our watch.)
(V27) But when I shall speak to thee, I will open thy mouth, and thou shalt say to them: Thus saith the Lord God: He that heareth, let him hear: and he that forebeareth, let him forebear: for they are a provoking house."

So, we have been praying and remaining hidden as Our Lady of La Salette described waiting for the "one that was fled from Jerusalem, saying: The city is laid waste." (Ezechiel 33:21)

We have done as Ezechiel 33:2 instructed. We have taken "one of our meanest", our Priest, as defined by the footnote for Judges 6:15 in the Douay-Rheims Bible thusly: "Mark how the Lord chooseth the humble (who are mean and little in their own eyes) for the greatest enterprises". And now we are in imitation of Habacuc 2:1 which reads: "I will stand upon my watch (watchman?) and fix my foot upon the tower: and I will watch, to see what will be said to me, and what I answer to him that reproves me." The rest of the chapter speaks of the coming of the Antichrist and of recent events in the history of the Church of Rome and the abominations that are committed therein (see Ezechiel 8:9,10,13,13,15,17 and Ezechiel 9:4) including Amoris Laetitia, homosexuals and pedophiles and abusers, and, it would seem even in verse 19, to talk about Pachamama.

It doesn't take much imagination to picture the people who are doing these things as being those mentioned in Apocalypse 11:10. If we couple this with the fact that we're now 102 years away from Fatima, and 75 years away from WWII, which Our Lady forewarned us at Fatima, and there can be very little doubt that the time of the Witnesses is upon us.

We just the other day, from our Habacuc watchtower, saw you for the first time on our radar, and we only just three days ago were led to the "Mother of God" site.

    God’s Judgment of Sin
"1You may think you can condemn such people, but you are just as bad, and you have no excuse! When you say they are wicked and should be punished, you are condemning yourself, for you who judge others do these very same things. 2And we know that God, in his justice, will punish anyone who does such things. 3Since you judge others for doing these things, why do you think you can avoid God’s judgment when you do the same things? 4Don’t you see how wonderfully kind, tolerant, and patient God is with you? Does this mean nothing to you? Can’t you see that his kindness is intended to turn you from your sin?
5But because you are stubborn and refuse to turn from your sin, you are storing up terrible punishment for yourself. For a day of anger is coming, when God’s righteous judgment will be revealed. 6He will judge everyone according to what they have done. 7He will give eternal life to those who keep on doing good, seeking after the glory and honor and immortality that God offers. 8But he will pour out his anger and wrath on those who live for themselves, who refuse to obey the truth and instead live lives of wickedness. 9There will be trouble and calamity for everyone who keeps on doing what is evil—for the Jew first and also for the Gentile. 10But there will be glory and honor and peace from God for all who do good—for the Jew first and also for the Gentile. 11For God does not show favoritism."
I believe this biblical passage indicates that the tribulation will begin first with the Jews (Israel), and then spread throughout the world, surely that region is like an end-time thermometer.

  19. We do this blessing but our parish doesn't pass out blessed chalk. We just use any bit of chalk to write (in this case the year is 2020) 20 + C+M+B+20 over the doorways, say the prayers, and sprinkle with Holy Water. One example of prayers is at this link http://www.usccb.org/prayer-and-wor...ing-of-the-home-and-household-on-epiphany.cfm
This is from Catholicculture.org After the prayers of the blessing are recited, each room of the home is sprinkled with Epiphany water and incensed. The initials of the Magi are inscribed upon the doors with the blessed chalk. (The initials, C, M, B, can also be interpreted as the Latin phrase "Christus mansionem benedicat" which means "Christ bless this house".)
