But why am I so favored, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? Luke 1v43 When we pray the Rosary we become like Elizabeth favoured by the presence of our Lady. Truly present. All who recite the Rosary are my beloved children
Mary was a living Ark and her travels to visit Elizabeth was the first Eucharistic procession! St. John’s joyful leap in the womb likewise is the first response of adoration to Christ hidden within Our Lady. We are so blessed to pray the Rosary and to not just recall these moments but in a mysterious way be present at them.
I love this Bobby. I often meditate on Elizabeth's words when praying those mysteries. Also " blessed is she who believed the Lord's words to her would be fulfilled."
Just read this long but worthwhile article in SD on Mary and power of Rosary... recommend if you have time https://spiritdaily.org/blog/an-intense-conversion-to-catholicism-through-mary/
One thing strikes me is that Mary stayed with Elizabeth for three whole months to help her. Three whole months! Who would so something like that these days? A whole new World..and a better one. All the time in the World to do a good turn. It reminds me of Spain. That sense of timelessness. Of having Eternity.
Wonderful. Our Lady is The Living Paradise, the third world that God created for Himself and Whom Jesus gave to us on the Cross. I never heard that title of Our Lady before. We now have access to Mary's virtues, Mary's faith. She not only believed for herself, She believed for the whole of humanity. And She persevered to the end. Blessed is She, the hidden One who did God's will. Blessed is She Who, as St. Therese said, was content to be the attendant to the one who was to become the Mother of God but was chosen to be that One Herself. Blessed be God forever. Thank you O my God for giving us our heavenly Mother!
