WANTED...your personal insights, ideas on the different mysteries of the Rosary

Discussion in 'On prayer itself' started by Timothius722, Mar 17, 2013.

  1. I meditate on the bible when i'm praying the rosary, all of the mysteries are to be found there except the assumption and the coronation of our Lady, or maybe I've just not found them yet:).

I find I get blessed many times doing this because not only am I meditating on the gospel scenes but also reading the words bring life to my soul, calms and teaches my mind and gives me courage to face the tomorrows. And its all so simple and I love simple!!

Border Collie...pretty dog and full of energy no less. Check out St Luke Chapter 1 vs 42 thru 55. The magnificat...it can aptly be said that the assumption and coronation are contained within... "for behold from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed". What are the only Christian Churches that honour Mary as such...the Catholics and the Orthodox. To no other in the bible has this phrase been applied to...only Mary our blessed Mother. Glory to God!

I was meditating on the carring of the Cross. Has life beat you down and crushed you under the weight of lifes problems ...or your own sins. Jesus fell three times. The third time he was not able to rise of His own strength...but the Cyrinian was forced into helping him...not out of compassion...but due to the fear by the soldiers that Jesus would die right there and deprive the crowd the specticle of a crusifixation. Thus... we are given a glimpse of how God uses evil intent by men to accomplish the Redemption. Many times a apparent evil that befalls us is used by God for our redemption or of another soul...we cannot see it...because we are mired in our own grief and pain...yet let a small spark in your memory remind you that...nothing happens by chance...and God is always working to bring good out of evil.
