Vatican says vaccines derived from aborted foetuses are “morally acceptable”.

Discussion in 'Church Critique' started by Blizzard, Dec 22, 2020.

  1. Aspirin, Tylenol, thousands of products have been tested using the cell lines, including the top 10 prescribed drugs.

If I use a antique gun for hunting that was "tested" in an unjust war, or previously in a murder am I complicit in the war or murder?

Passive, remote, material cooperation is not sinful according to well established Catholic theology if you have a compelling reason for using the product and there is no alternative.

Let me ask this...Who among you will now stop taking Lipitor, Albuterol, aspirin, Tylenol or hundreds of other prescriptions now that you know?

the question for me is that here in Brazil we have very little time to make a decision on this vaccine dilemma since the country is already experiencing a general collapse of the health system, we are moving towards the phase of choosing who will have medical care.

I am so sorry, Luan....I didn't realize it was so critical.

Thank you non sum dignus. This might logically change my negative position on receiving a vaccine that was only tested on fetal cell lines vs. derived from fetal cell lines. Hmm...Of course, this doesn't resolve the issue of the longterm effects of the vaccines on the body, itself.

Astra Zeneva Oxford vaccine derived from HEK aborted cell line.

Pfizer and Moderns are not vaccines. They are gene therapy.

    Yes, ugh

  9. According to the link I posted nearly all modern medicines have been tested on the fetal cell lines.

Along with cosmetics and some foods and who knows what elce.

The point is not to make us scrupulous but to realize using these products constitutes very remote material cooperation, and can not be reasonably avoided.

Thanks for posting. I read it all.
But I’m still not getting vaccinated. :)

  11. Totally up to you. I have gone back and forth after initially being totally against the vaccine.

But I have a responsiblity to not infect my wife who has several risk factors. So I will be getting the vaccine.

I think that the time between doses depends on the vaccine - about three months between doses for the Astrazeneca vaccine and about three weeks for the Pfizer vaccine. The elderly in Ireland are getting the Pfizer vaccine and younger people (frontline workers) get the Astrazeneca vaccine. I haven't heard of any other vaccines (Moderna, J&J, etc.) being available in Ireland. I know someone (not in this country) who was strongly advised by a doctor to continue taking precautions after being vaccinated. I think the doctor said that some of his patients had stopped taking precautions and caught the virus. None of them died but some were quite ill.

For me, tylenol is a go-to after a joint replacement or prior in lue of narcotics! That plus aleve work for me. I shan't give up that approach.

For me, this is a far lesser evil. It is extremely remote plus it is NOT mRNA!! That is a very big deal in my mind.

I'm looking to avoid both. RNA is super unsettling ton me. I'll have no part of that. Plus, im.not convinced my uncle's unexpected death was not in some way related to receiving Pfizer 4 days prior.

So what’s the point in vaccination? Gosh.

  16. Not to mention morphine for pain. And erithromyicin for infections, metformin for diabetes control etc. etc. which have all been tested on the cell lines.
Unfortunately the RNA vaccines look to be far more effective (95% vs 65% for some of the others) along with only using the cell lines for testing finished product vs using the cells for development. If the RNA based vaccine eventually has bad effects, God knows my heart and why I would take it.

I think the selling point for the vaccines is that it will save people from being killed by the virus, and that the vast majority who subsequently catch the virus will have mild or no symptoms. I only shared that information to let those getting the vaccine know that they still need to be careful. Whether or not they take it is their own business. Best not to get bogged down in discussions on it because people on either side can lose their sense of perspective and become quite vitriolic. I received a private message which demonstrates that very clearly.
