From Totus Tuus Fb page today:

"The Vatican has begun investigating a possible miracle attributed to the intercession of Pope Benedict XVI!

This comes as the Church advances the cause for his sainthood. The reported miracle involves a young man from Colorado who, in 2012, suffered from advanced Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

During a general audience in St. Peter’s Square, the then-Pope placed his hand on the young man’s chest—directly over the tumor—and blessed him. What followed was a complete, unexplained recovery that doctors could not scientifically account for. Today, that same man is a priest!

This is a beautiful sign of God’s continued work through the holy lives of His servants. Pope Benedict XVI, the great theologian and gentle shepherd, continues to inspire faith even after his passing.

Let us pray for the success of this investigation and for the glorification of this faithful servant of the Church.

In addition, a lay-initiated signature campaign has been launched, petitioning the Vatican to accelerate the cause for the beatification and canonization of Pope Benedict XVI. To date, the petition has already gathered over 1,900 signatures.

“In the beginning was the Word...” — John 1:1 (a favorite reminder of Benedict’s profound love for Scripture and truth).

What are your thoughts? Have you experienced the powerful teaching of Pope Benedict in your own faith journey?

Wonderful news. I just saw this a few minutes after buying a Kindle book called 'The Transforming Power of Faith', the last series of general audience talks by Pope Benedict XVI before his resignation in 2013.
I love reading Pope Benedict's work, he thinks and writes so clearly. A very inspiring guide to the Christian faith.
His books and the interviews with Peter Seewald were very helpful in deepening my faith.
Please God the reported Miracle will be accepted and further his Cause for Canonisation.

    CHURCH NEWS |
Vatican Examining Possible Miracle Attributed to Pope Benedict XVI

Peter Srsich was diagnosed with a heart ailment and later stage four cancer in 2011, he was only 17 years old, Srsich, Three months into chemotherapy and other extreme treatments, he was visited by the Colorado Make a Wish foundation, which helps ailing children realize their dream come true.

Peter's wish was unique but granted, which is to go to Rome and see the Pope, Peter with his family attended Pope Benedict XVI's general audience, then they were called to form a line in which they realized they would get to meet the Holy Father.

Standing at 6'6 feet, the young boy towered over the pope, he mentioned his cancer and asked for a blessing, Pope Benedict then placed his hand on Peter's chest where the tumor is, puzzling the young boy as it was unusual, as blessings were usually in the head.

After that, Peter's health and condition gradually improved and later on recovered, He was ordained a priest in 2021 and continues to share blessings, as he is eternally grateful for a beautiful life, a beautiful gift from God almighty. As Pope Benedict XVI's cause for sainthood is opened recently, a possible miracle attributed to the late Pope is now being examined by the Vatican.

Looks like this news has been around for a little while. Apologies if the story was already covered in another thread, I had a look before posting and didn't see anything else.
Above picture is of Fr. Peter Srsich, whose healing is being investigated.
