I agree, the belief from orthodox Jews is to build it. They have the architectural plans, waiting for the heifer, etc., but their belief that God wants them to build the 3rd temple is not in the Bible. In fact, what the bible says, completely contradicts their belief. So, will God allow them to build it? I don’t think so. I think their erroneous plan has been for decades a ploy from Satan to distract many Jews and Christians from understanding that it’s about the Church and Holy Spirit. All this time waiting for the Antichrist to sit in a “temple” in Israel distracts from Satan’s real plan. Which is to sit in Peter’s seat, and demand the world to go against the true God and His Holy Spirit. While many are waiting and looking towards Israel the land for the Antichrist to reign, they are blind to where the Antichrist really is reigning. So, I don’t believe those architectural plans will ever come to fruition. Satan’s focus is the Church. Those in exile the Bible speaks of in the end times are the remnant. at least for me this is not a distraction from what is currently happening in the church, i think it is possible that an antipope in the vatican will support the antichrist when he appears, but for jews and muslims the vatican has no spiritual relevance like the holy land, in this region the Antichrist will likely reign when he destroys Revelation 17's Babylon.
Babylon represents the evil of the world however it is possible that all this evil is represented by a city that in the description of the angel of apocalypse will disappear into the sea and never be found again. I see the Jewish temple as something similar to the construction of the Abrahamic family's house in Abu Dhabi, where Jews, Muslims and Christians will be able to pray together (a project that has been supported by Francis), this does not distract me from what is happening in rome but it looks like a sign of the ecumenism of the coming of the antichrist.

there is a fundamental difference between saying that the third temple will be built and supporting its construction; the true temple is Jesus but that does not stop the enemies of the faith from carrying out a work that aims to deceive the Jewish people.
