Watching Fox News…horrible devastation. We have warnings today for strong, possibly damaging winds. Possible power outages too. Hopefully we are all as prepared as we can be. Keep your lamps lit! ( I actually fill antique oil lamps). Pray for those states and lost souls….but for the grace of God….
Ohhh so true! I was looking for a religious item among the Christmas decorations in a very popular store….almost none! One wouldn’t even know it was a Christian holiday from all of the meaningless secular decorations and Christmas cards.
Well, he’s likely to regret that move…Our Lady has her hands on this fellow. Let’s all pray that this act reverses his intention and becomes the catalyst for his conversion. Dear Mary, lay your hands upon him and pour out graces for his conversion…make him a instrument of your will.
On that note, the nightly International Mass in Medjugorje is also packed. Their evening program starts with the Rosary. After Mass is Adoration & Benediction. Every night You tell me who is doing something right & who is protected in a special way.
I saw where Kentucky may have lost 50-100 souls That’s where Andy lives I think I was just outside here in Maryland We are having extreme wind gusts out of the SSW I’m putting out some sprinkles of holy water right now God bless all the souls who lost their lives and those in harms way God please keep Katfalls and her family safe.
We left southern Alabama because of the hurricanes and tornadoes. I have lived through being hit by a hurricane and being hit 35 years ago by a tornado in southern Michigan. In Alabama they don't have storm shelters or basements. In August we had one day with 17 tornado warnings . . .In northern Indiana we have a house with a basement. I can't tell you how unnerving and terrifying it is to have a storm headed at you, I feel for the people in mobile homes, nursing homes, and at work. Our oldest son was hit by a tornado when driving a big truck, he's a truck driver. This was about twelve years ago, it toppled the truck and broke his arm. The cab ended up in a ditch . . .what a sad day.
Glad you were able to move when you did. Certainly a sign from our Heavenly Father for your successful move.
Same here in MA, expecting wind gusts to continue all night. I had to take in some Christmas decorations before they end up in the woods. Only 1pm and it's so dark I turned on the tree lights. Prayers for the lives lost in the terrible storm, what a terrible tragedy so close to Christmas. Stay safe everyone.
First, prayers to all the victims of this disaster. Second, prayers of protection to all in the pathway of this storm. My reaction when I saw this news was this occurred almost immediately after the Year of St. Joseph ended. I believe I read somewhere that a locutionsist (as always use discernment) said St. Joseph was holding back disasters etc and when the year was up that protection would end. Who knows? All I do know, it’s time now to continue to convert… continue to focus on Christ’s coming again… whether it the Second Coming or His calling me. But as St Bernard preached…. There is a third coming of Christ. He comes everyday in our lives, in the Eucharist, when we pray, when we gather abs think of him. I hope I can make a better place for him in my heart. Peace.
