Again, this new enrergy has been mentione dby others in Prophecy, a kind of clean , chaep enrgy force, more natural than oil that will be availbe freely to everyone and transform or world.

I think this is logical. What enables the Stanic organisations that ocntrol things at the moment is that they have a tight straglehold on things like oil. If God is about to kind of wipe the slate clean, so to speak, he must enable us to have a restart and it seems logical He would give us a hand sup to start over. THis is one of the ways...so an end to current technolgies and a start to new super ones. Ones that do not conflict with Gods plans. Our dependance on oil for instance is a source of wars...

Trade is also another stranglehold that Satan has over most, if not all, countries. It's no wonder that so much corruption occurs, Padraig.

One of the sad things at mass is that everyone uses the super quick Eucharistic Prayer 2. THis is a fine and beautiful prayer but priests do it because we want in and out as quickly as possible. There might be some excuse for this, people are very busy , but they use it on sundays as well..so. In defense of priests , people are not like they used to be. They are very quick to go into the sacristy and complain to the poor priests, sometimes in a bad temper. So the poor priest has to give into pressure and is afraid. As a matter of fact this has a lot to do with priests sermons becomming so..well....passe. If a prest for instance was to warn about buisness people exploiting their workers he will be chopped at the knee by a hang him high group i nthe sacristy in short order.

However the young new hosptial Chaplain has started using the EUcharitic prayer four which I adore. It makes me feel like I am back in the catacombs. Wonderful. Very long but wonderful.''Here are the four prayers side by side, each very ,very beautiful. What a pity we ever hear only prayer 2

In the Middle Ages , Catholic Theologians used todiscuss whether or not Marchants had souls and came to the alomst unanimous conclusion that they did not.:) They also used to frown very , very much against taking interest on loans, which has indeed a Scriptural basis:

    Deuteronomy 23:19-20

“You shall not charge interest on loans to your brother, interest on money, interest on food, interest on anything that is lent for interest. You may charge a foreigner interest, but you may not charge your brother interest, that the Lord your God may bless you in all that you undertake in the land that you are entering to take possession of it.

    Leviticus 25:35-37

“If your brother becomes poor and cannot maintain himself with you, you shall support him as though he were a stranger and a sojourner, and he shall live with you. Take no interest from him or profit, but fear your God, that your brother may live beside you. You shall not lend him your money at interest, nor give him your food for profit.

...and indeed Islam stil opposes it and have their own Finanacial Insitutions to manage such matters as Mortgages.

    Jesus said:

    Matthew 6:24

"No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

Why did we as Christians tone down our critque of unrestrained Capitalism? Why because it seemed to work out so well, that's why. Of course it did not work out so well for poor people, especially for Third World countries. But it worked out just fine for so called devolped countries. So we closed our hearts and ploughed on with it.

Now the Temple of Mammon is about to fall apart and we wil have to start over. This time with Justice and Charity.

Bear in mind that just 85 people own over half the worlds wealth, well how do such greedy monsters expect to get into heaven?

  8. I agree Eucharistic prayer 4 is beautiful and its a long time since I heard it.
Its the end of a long day and I don't know why but this thought just came into my head: what would happen if a priest stood up at homily and said to his congregation, "Do you know that we Catholics are still obliged to attend mass each and every Sunday or Saturday Vigil? Do you know that if you don't have a very good reason to miss mass this is a mortal sin? Social engagements, sports etc are not serious reasons. Do you know that you cannot receive communion if you have committed a mortal sin? You can't commit a mortal sin if you don't know it's a mortal sin. Now you know about this one. No more excuses. If you have missed mass deliberately without good reason and you know you have committed a mortal sin come to confession and don't miss mass any more. If you don't confess and you die suddenly you will go to hell. Don't insult and offend Jesus by forcing Him to become one with you in communion when your soul is filled with mortal sin. Jesus is the one who tells us we risk an eternity in hell fire if we receive Him unworthily."
    I wonder what would happen.

Well Joe, I have some experience here and I assume it would extend to the congregation who heard it at mass. I essentially did this exact thing to my high school faith formation class years ago. Apparently enough kids told their parents that I said they were going to hell when I read to them what the CCC taught on this very subject. I was not asked to teach the following year. Apparently, I scared some of the high school kids and ticked off their non-church going parents. I am afraid the church would become very small if a priest did this.

  11. Wow! Now that's a sign of the times. At least you tried. But what a price you had to pay.
    Me too thanks Heidi.

Since we are referencing the Word:

"If you insult your brother you will be liable to the council...if you call him a fool you will be liable to the hell of fire" (Matthew 5.22)

"Do not judge, so that you may not be judged. For with the judgment you make, you will be judged." (Matthew 7.1)

Guard your heart. Don't let the world's poison overtake it. I suspect God's Mercy will have those "monsters" in line well ahead of us.

    And may it be so.

    Greetings, Mark,

I am a bit perplexed at your post? Where did our friend Padraig mention any individual names? He did not insult anyone in particular. He spoke in general terms of a group of people who are greedy: 85 men and women owning half the world's wealth is incredible. I believe the Pope also spoke of the greed of some people in his exhortation, the Joy of the Gospel, the section on economics and poverty.

My pardon if I speak out of turn.

    Blessings, Booklady

Judge not lest you be judged is probably the most misquoted and most misunderstood section in all of scripture. Jesus did not mean not to judge at all, but to judge justly. My Judgement is not rash, for it is not my Judgement , but the Judgement of Scripture, of Jesus Himself.

Of course these people are monsters on the road to hell and they will find themselves there unless they repent.

    James 5

5 Now listen, you rich people, weep and wail because of the misery that is coming on you. 2 Your wealth has rotted, and moths have eaten your clothes. 3 Your gold and silver are corroded. Their corrosion will testify against you and eat your flesh like fire. You have hoarded wealth in the last days. 4 Look! The wages you failed to pay the workers who mowed your fields are crying out against you. The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord Almighty. 5 You have lived on earth in luxury and self-indulgence. You have fattened yourselves in the day of slaughter. 6 You have condemned and murdered the innocent one, who was not opposing you.

Jesus Himself had something to say about these rich in a parable: The Good God does not expect us to be blind, deaf and dumb to injustice. Pope Francis is not deaf to the cries of the poor, neither should we be.
