I have to admit I still find it a bit far fetched that all this could happen in the next 5 years. In only 1 1/2 to 2 years we will know for sure if things will start as expected. I am going out on a limb and saying his hypothesis timing is off as all these things tend not to happen when expected but I am planning for them to happen though.

Fascinating stuff.

 

WCWTS, I don't understand what the 2T 3T and so on refers to, would you explain to me, please? Thank you for your help. I figure it refers to months? but I can't really tell. If anyone else knows, please post for me a reply.

Well, I've got something that seems even more farfetched, that I uncovered while assembling material for my Catholic Eschatology class. I came across it while trying to figure out how to present the Abomination of Desolation (AoD) in both Daniel and the Olivet Discourse. I went to Zechariah to check some things and then found that 1 Maccabees describes the AoD in detail, including dates.

I've been stuck on Daniel for a while, trying to relate it to the Olivet Discourses where Jesus is on the Mount of Olives telling his closest disciples what to expect for signs at the End of Days. Finally, on a whim, I went to Zechariah since that is practically all end-times prophesy, and hit the jackpot. I also just today started looking through 1 Maccabees, since that is telling the events of the Abominiation of Desolation (AoD) described by Daniel. In the very first chapter of Macc. the author describes what Antiochus Epiphanies did to destroy Jewish culture to create a unified empire. One thing that he did is what Maccabees calls the Desolating Abomination. Per NABRE, "Desolating abomination: in the original Hebrew, a contemptuous pun on the title “Lord of heaven” given to the god to whom an image or perhaps an altar was erected upon the altar of burnt offerings in the Temple of Jerusalem; cf. Dn 9:27; 11:31."

So after reading through these books, I found some VERY interesting links that I'm still trying to weave together for my class, but there they are:

If you're going to do date-related stuff, you need to do it in the Hebrew calendar. There's a very simple and good date converter at www.hebcal.com. I have uncovered so many hidden relationships in Scripture using this webpage it's not funny. The first key is in Zechariah 1:7-17. The author specifies a date, meaning it's significant: 24 Sh'vat. (I'm going to use the spellings used by Jewish sources rather than the transliterations used by some Bible translators.) In verse 12, the angel asks G_D, "LORD of hosts, how long will you be without mercy for Jerusalem and the cities of Judah that have felt your anger these seventy years?” (At the time, there were 2 Jewish kingdoms, Israel in the north with the capitol at Bethel, and Judah in the south with the capitol in Jerusalem.) At the time, the Temple had been destroyed for 70 years, but was in the process of being rebuilt.

G_D replied beginning with verse 14:
And the angel who spoke with me said to me, Proclaim: Thus says the LORD of hosts: I am deeply moved for the sake of Jerusalem and Zion, and I am exceedingly angry with the complacent nations; whereas I was but a little angry, they added to the harm. (N.B. The "complacent nations" were the nations around Judah, especially Edom/Jordan, who had enjoyed their present prosperity and security at Judah's expense.) Therefore, says the LORD: I will turn to Jerusalem in mercy; my house shall be built in it, says the LORD of hosts, and a measuring line shall be stretched over Jerusalem. Proclaim further: Thus says the LORD of hosts: My cities shall again overflow with prosperity; the LORD will again comfort Zion, and again choose Jerusalem.

The key here is that G_D says "...my house shall be built in it..." NOT "is being built". Therefore, this is a prophecy for a future time, for the building of what we call the Third Temple.

G_D is exceedingly angry with the nations surrounding Judah; He will deal with them in the War of Psalm 83.

"(T)hese seventy years" -- The UN resolution to create the Jewish State of Israel and the Arab State of Palestine was passed on 29 November 1947, which in the Hebrew calendar is 16 Kislev 5708. 70 years from then is 16 Kislev 5778 which is 04 Dec 2017. The original plan was to make Jerusalem an independent entity run by the UN. Instead, both sides have been battling for posession of her. So from the beginning and for the past 70 years, Jerusalem has been "without mercy."

Now, whether or not these events happen in the way I'm describing, I don't know. Regardless, I think it shows how the time is getting short. Part of me is thinking the new temple would be completed/dedicated on 16 Kislev 5778 which is 04 Dec 2017. This is significant because the original AoD, according to Maccabees, occurred on 15 Kislev.

Remember that Zechariah's original vision was on 24 Sh'vat. It's possible that construction on the new temple will begin on 24 Sh'vat of a future year, probably in 2016. (I don't care how carefully the planning has gone, I can't imagine construction taking less than a year.) 24 Sh'vat 5776 is 03 Feb 2016. That's about 7 months from now. For construction to begin on Temple Mount the Islamic authorities would have to be expelled from the mount. This won't happen until after the War of Psalm 83, when Israel extends its territory eastward and Jordan becomes a protectorate.

Fasten your seat belts. We're in for a bumpy ride.

Your timetable makes sense, though many "sensible" timetables have been presented in recent years, only to fall through. A couple of current events adds credence to your timeline, however.

1) France has re-emphasized her intent to push for a Palestinian State at the UN in September.

2) Supposedly, the reformed Sanhedrin has already created liturgical vessels for use in a 3rd Temple.

3) In my opinion, the treaty President Obama has made with Iran is full of holes which might force Israel to make a pre-emptive strike against Iran. Under Obama's leadership, the USA role as prime ally of Israel has eroded terribly. In Israel's eyes, we can no longer be trusted to stand with them should war break out. I believe this makes for a twitchy trigger finger on their part.

All this points to a more bumpy ride, indeed!

Living in the country has its many benefits. Tonight was one of them as I could see the brightness of the crescent moon, Venus, Jupiter and Regulus and clear as can be on a clear night. Beautiful.

When you put it that way it does seem like a short period of time. .......And I actually think it is shorter....

I think we will know in 1/2 to 3/4 of a year how things start. For example, my opinion is that he has the year of the Warning right, but the month wrong. I think the Warning cannot be synonymous with the pole shift because the pole shift is the chastisement, which occurs after the Miracle, which occurs after the Warning (both have periods of time between them for conversion). So the Warning may very well be January, February or March 2016, with a 2016 Miracle in Garabandal, and a late 2016 chastisement (as he indicates).

I know my idea could be completely wrong, and that it requires things to get much worse in only the next 6 or 7 months to fulfill the conditions for the Warning........but it is certainly possible if the economy crashes in September-October. Warfare would almost certainly follow behind its footsteps quickly, which means all the conditions could be met rather quickly.

 

I have a big problem with the whole "third temple" expectation for fulfillment of the AoD. Yes, the Jerusalem temple part of Daniel's prophecy was fulfilled before Christ, but the AoD Jesus refers to is for our time. However, as Jesus prophesied, the temple was already rebuilt: In Three Days (in 33 AD).......

Where is the Holy of Holies now? Where is the Presence of God to be found? Where Jesus is Present: in the Eucharist, in the tabernacles, and in the hearts of the faithful, by the power of the Holy Spirit. So the AoD would thus be the removal of the True Presence, or something of that nature, by a false church action, I suppose.

If an actual third Jerusalem temple were built, it would be desolate by default, and would not have the presence of God in it by any resumption of animal sacrifice. That covenant has been fulfilled and made new by Christ.

...Unless you are of the opinion that both things must be fulfilled simultaneously (both in the Church as the new Israel, and also in the nation of Israel). I still don't believe in the Evangelical expectation that some slick, expensive-suit-wearing antichrist is going to step into a freshly-built, red-heifer-initiated third temple, and put a stop to some animal sacrifices.......
