I live 20 minutes from there . So few monks left now and they are all very elderly apart from the new abbot who is quite young. They could do with some more young blood. There has been talk recently of opening the place up to more "alternative spiritualities" to keep it running, which would be a total disaster, obviously. Hopefully that idea will be abandoned or the place will be ruined. I would so love to see them return to traditional liturgy, latin mass, etc.
Been there that place couple of times until Fr o Brien passed away. Haven't been to that place after that.
Yes same priest as I normally call him Fr o Brien cos first name difficult to pronounce. Met him couple of times over the years. Last time I met him before he died threw up something about him.

I’ve been very busy since the last time I posted on here. My parents finally found a place for to live on my own, I’ll be getting it by July 19th, though there will still be a lot of work to do after that. Because of all the work to be done, I have decided to wait until November to do the Live-in. However my parish bulletin has posted that the Carmelites in my area are doing their own opening for people discerning their vocations, which will take place on July 28th, I’m hoping to make that, provided we’re not busy at that time. Please keep me in your prayers, I’ll probably be away for awhile.
