  1. They are damned if they do and they are damned if they don't. Vassula's mission is bigger than any of us can imagine. She has a family and she has MORE than PROVED HERSELF. Just read her volumes...She is one of the most humble women I have seen. I absolutely believe in her mission. I was told by Bishop Danylak that she was one of the toughest, most humble and sure people he had ever met. How far would we go to show JESUS, I TRUST IN YOU....! How many visionaries do you know who has met with every Patriarch, and the last two Popes while they were Cardinals??

    We will all suffer, but yes, Our Lord and Our Mother will protect their remnant. This does not mean we will not hunger or be persecuted. Jesus desires and will make sure many will persevere during these times. Perhaps this is why Our Lady of Medjugorje has requested we fast on bread ad water on Wednesday's and Friday's, so that we understand how and we will feel then and receive the graces necessary when it affects us personally. No, I would not turn in my neighbors, I will be helping them, praying with them and assisting them in whatever manner I can.

    Here is why I feel all this comes very soon and prior to the Warning. We know from Our Lady of Garabandal that first communism returns, second that communism is at its worst, then comes the Warning. Now the Warning will naturally give pause to ever human soul. This period of pause/peace will last till the Miracle and perhaps into the 25 years of peace that Our Lady of La Sallette foretold. Then as our Lady foretold, "men will have forgotten after 25 years of good harvests" and men will become worse then ever. Then comes the chastisements from heaven and the reign of the anti-Christ. This is a scenario that I feel could take place, but only God knows for sure.

    I have had dreams like Fatima's scenario......people killing others in the street over a gallon of milk......fires everywhere.......people roaming the streets......husbands going to find food/supplies and never coming back...

    Since 2/1/14, I've spent between 6 and 10 hours a day quilting, which gives me just as many hours to pray. It's been the most amazing time! Essentially, the Lord has tricked me into keeping my backside in a chair and hanging out with Him and our Blessed Mother. I've been learning lots of things.

    The last 3 days, I've been given Isaiah chapter 64 and 65 to read.

    Ch. 64 begins: "
    as fire sets brushwood alight, as fire makes water boil -- to make your name known to your foes; the nations would tremble at your presence,at the unexpected miracles you would do. (Oh, that you would come down, in your presence the mountains would quake!)
    3 Never has anyone heard, no ear has heard, no eye has seen any god but you act like this for the sake of those who trust him..."

    This really puzzled me. Eventually, it came to me that this world is so thoroughly evil that only a good purging will set things right. I still pray that everything that can be mitigated, in God's will, would be mitigated. But I'm feeling warned not to pray against God's will as things unfold.

    Here's Ch. 65:

    .
    I was ready to respond to those who did not ask,
    to be found by those who did not seek me.

    I said: Here I am! Here I am!

    To a nation that did not invoke my name.a

    2I have stretched out my hands all day

    to a rebellious people,

    Who walk in a way that is not good,

    following their own designs;b

    3A people who provoke me

    continually to my face,

    Offering sacrifices in gardens

    and burning incense on bricks,

    4Sitting in tombs

    and spending the night in caves,

    Eating the flesh of pigs,

    with broth of unclean meat in their dishes;

    5Crying out, “Hold back,

    do not come near me, lest I render you holy!”*

    These things are smoke in my nostrils,

    a fire that burns all the day.

    6See, it stands written before me;

    I will not remain quiet until I have repaid in full

    7Your crimes and the crimes of your ancestors as well,

    says the LORD.

    Since they burned incense on the mountains,

    and insulted me on the hills,

    I will at once pour out in full measure

    their recompense into their laps.

    Fate of the Just and Unjust in Israel
    8* Thus says the LORD:

    As when the juice is pressed from a cluster,

    and someone says, “Do not destroy it,

    for there is still good in it,”

    So will I do for the sake of my servants:

    I will not destroy them all.

    9From Jacob I will bring forth offspring,

    from Judah, those who are to possess my mountains;

    My chosen ones shall possess the land,

    my servants shall dwell there.

    10Sharon shall become a pasture for the flocks,

    the Valley of Achor a resting place for the cattle,

    for my people who have sought me.c

    11But you who forsake the LORD,

    who forget my holy mountain,

    Who spread a table for Fortune

    and fill cups of mixed wine for Destiny,*

    12You I will destine for the sword;

    you shall all bow down for slaughter;

    Because I called and you did not answer,

    I spoke and you did not listen,

    But did what is evil in my sight

    and things I do not delight in, you chose,d

    13therefore thus says the Lord GOD:

    My servants shall eat,

    but you shall go hungry;

    My servants shall drink,

    but you shall be thirsty;

    My servants shall rejoice,

    but you shall be put to shame;

    14My servants shall shout

    for joy of heart,

    But you shall cry out for grief of heart,

    and howl for anguish of spirit.

    15You will leave your name for a curse to my chosen ones

    when the Lord GOD slays you,

    and calls his servants by another name.

    16Whoever invokes a blessing in the land

    shall bless by the God of truth;*

    Whoever takes an oath in the land

    shall swear by the God of truth;

    For the hardships of the past shall be forgotten

    and hidden from my eyes.

    A World Renewed
    17* See, I am creating new heavens

    and a new earth;

    The former things shall not be remembered

    nor come to mind.e

    18Instead, shout for joy and be glad forever

    in what I am creating.

    Indeed, I am creating Jerusalem to be a joy

    and its people to be a delight;

    19I will rejoice in Jerusalem

    and exult in my people.

    No longer shall the sound of weeping be heard there,

    or the sound of crying;

    20No longer shall there be in it

    an infant who lives but a few days,

    nor anyone who does not live a full lifetime;

    One who dies at a hundred years shall be considered a youth,

    and one who falls short of a hundred shall be thought accursed.f

    21They shall build houses and live in them,

    they shall plant vineyards and eat their fruit;

    22They shall not build and others live there;

    they shall not plant and others eat.

    As the years of a tree, so the years of my people;

    and my chosen ones shall long enjoy

    the work of their hands.

    23They shall not toil in vain,

    nor beget children for sudden destruction;

    For they shall be a people blessed by the LORD

    and their descendants with them.

    24Before they call, I will answer;

    while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

    25* The wolf and the lamb shall pasture together,

    and the lion shall eat hay like the ox—

    but the serpent’s food shall be dust.g

    None shall harm or destroy

    on all my holy mountain, says the LORD.

    The gist of what I've been getting in prayer is that we need to become accustomed to deep intimacy with the Lord, in the center of the immaculate heart of Mary and the Divine Will, which is our ark of refuge for the coming dark days. Then we will be a source of peace and material and spiritual sustenance for others.

    Someone was telling me recently about training to escape a helicopter crash at sea. The oil companies put their employees through drills to practice this, in real helicopters, in real water. They do it over and over to develop "body memory" so they will instinctively act correctly in the event of the real thing.

    That's what I think the Lord has been doing with me - training me the same way, so my default position in a crisis is peaceful, prayerful abiding in the presence of God. My prayer for us all, for some time, has been: "Give us the grace not to disappoint You when it matters most." The surest way to disappoint God is fear and panic, which is an insult to Him when He is perfectly willing and able to provide for all of our needs.

    We need to remember how He cared for His people in the desert - they had water and manna from heaven, they didn't get sick and their clothes didn't even wear out - which is pretty good treatment for a bunch of whiners! Imagine how He will carry us, if our constant prayer is, "Jesus, I trust in You!", which, from what I can tell, is a prayer He simply cannot resist.

    And we also need to remember that God is in charge; the sun doesn't get in His eyes. Whatever happens, happens in His will, either by His action or by allowing the actions of others. God is love, and He will surely turn it all to good.

    I do think God has been preparing us all psychologically for what is to come because prophecy prepares the people of God. Listen to the voice of our Lady in recent times she really has been calling us to complete and full conversion but at a time when this is actually really hard to do because there are so many temptations and distractions.

    But, we must respond to her words. I am very conscious that I must get my conversion right because God has a plan for me and for each of us. I will be the rock for my family and friends during the tribulation events.. This alone scares me for I am a passive, quiet person who does not like to lead from the front so they are all going to be turning to me for help. And yet in many ways I thank God that I am weak but His strength is made manifest in weakness. I am really nothing but He is everything.

    How many sleepless nights have I had in the last ten years? Too numerous to count. Real struggles as God has been purifying me, getting me ready, dark nights of the soul but more recently a deafening silence from heaven. Lying awake and God seems so distant that I feel like an atheist but the peace of God is there, a peace that the world cannot give. It is this peace that will see us through the tough days ahead. It is this peace that will allow us to make the right decisions and help those who want to be helped.

    The biggest burden that I carry in the night is to know that most of my family are not ready. They are not fully converted and therefore not ready for the tribulation nor the warning to come. But we are always a signpost to God even if we never say anything - they just know instinctively that God is in our lives. And this will be a comfort to those close to us when the times come for they will know that they can turn to us. And we will know how to lead them to deeper conversion for we have had this experience. I have to be honest and say there are times in the last few years that things have become so challenging and difficult that stress has surged through my veins in a palpable way and those close to me have been worried for me but in all things I have called on heaven for help and hung in there by the skin of my teeth. The path of faith is indeed a challenging one but this is all part of the purification that I needed for I was not fully converted. I know others on the forum have experienced similar difficulties so rest assure you are not alone but God is calling you to a deeper level of faith and a deeper level of conversion on your road to sanctity.

    I am really conscious too in these times that there is a coming blessing, an unmerited grace to those who have responded and converted, a blessing so great that it will transform us in the same way that it transformed the disciples into apostles after Pentecost. I am not sure of the timing of this blessing but have sensed God in the dark of night saying He will be coming with His transformative power and glory for the body of Christ, to prepare the people of God to witness as Light amidst the great Darkness and this blessing will be a strengthening power that will allow us to do the Will of God for His greater Glory and Purpose.

    All Praise and Glory to God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

    Funny you should say that. The first time I had interior locutions I was 17 years old, April of my senior year, living a faithless life. I was in a panic, thinking, "What will I be? Everyone has to be something What will I be?" And a small, still voice said, "Be a nurse." Now, I WAS NOT PRAYING! I was just having this internal angst that I didn't share with anyone. Over the course of a couple of weeks, every time I had the thought, "What will I be?" the voice said, "Be a nurse." I was in the process of flunking chemistry, so this seemed like a crazy idea. So each time I heard "Be a nurse", I would think, "Well, I know I can't be a nurse, but maybe I could be a speech therapist, or social worker, or something." The last time I heard the voice, I heard "Be a..." and I thought, "Right. Be a nurse. That's crazy!" But instead, the voice said, "Be a NUN." The idea was so shocking, I said, "OK, OK, I'll be nurse!!!" I applied to nursing school, and even though my grades were in the tank, they accepted me.
    I always thought the call to be a nun was a sign of God's sense of humor. But now I'm an old, scapular making, rosary praying hermit, so maybe I'm finally growing into the call!

    Pentagon: Russian spy ship operating near US

    A Russian intelligence-gathering ship has been operating off the U.S. East Coast and near the Gulf of Mexico for the past month, the Pentagon said Thursday.

    "We are aware that the Russian ships Viktor Leonov and Nikolay Chiker are currently operating in waters that are beyond U.S. territorial seas but near Cuba," said Lt. Col. Tom Crosson, a Pentagon spokesman. "We respect the freedom of all nations, as reflected in international law, to operate military vessels beyond the territorial seas of other nations."

    The Leonov is an intelligence gathering ship outfitted with high-tech electronic spying gear. The Chiker is an ocean-going naval tug that has been accompanying the spy ship on its mission. Pentagon officials suspect the ships were part of a spying operation since March against the U.S. nuclear missile submarine base at Kings Bay, Ga. and other U.S. military facilities.

    Both ships were detected operating off the coast of Florida near the U.S. Naval Station Mayport, Fla., which is south of the Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay.

    The Russian intelligence gathering coincides with heightened tensions between the United States and Russia over Moscow's recent military annexation of Ukraine's Crimea.

    An official said it is possible that the electronic spying is related to watching U.S. nuclear missile submarines as part of a Russian nuclear exercise

    New to posting... But not the conversation indeed pondering on what is happening. What do I hear in my heart before The Lord indeed what do you hear? Confusion spreading a loss of orientation even shepherds losing their way. I set my mood as worried and that is true. A young family with newest not yet here. I live in the great southern land under the southern cross. We are all children of God, beloved he died for each one. So many are suffering I have watched on TV the fear in the eyes of Ukrainian citizens and in my heart echoes war rumours of war nation rises against nation. Reading the forums has at times energised me and at others frustrated me. I am worried because my heart hears the drums of war and and the dying groans of this era. I pray for you please remember us before The Lord. Jesus save us Mary help us.

    Our Lady’s E-Newsletter: April 2014

    The Only Hope for Ukraine — and the World
    We receive daily reports from the media of what, according to secular journalists, is happening in Ukraine and how it may affect the nations outside that beleaguered country. As with all secular reporting, the emphasis is on parsing what the principal politicians involved in the conflict are saying in response to developments, as though the situation were to be resolved by rhetoric and media commentary.

    We have, among other ironies, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry pontificating over what constitutes justice for the Ukrainian people, denouncing the use of force as “19th century behavior”. Implicit in Kerry’s comments is the presumption that what is modern is what is best and that all our predecessors were necessarily more benighted and primitive than we are. Kerry also fails to acknowledge the obvious: that his assumption of authority in the matter is based squarely and solely on the force commanded by the United States, militarily through NATO and economically through its capital investment in Russia. Apparently, 19th century behavior is acceptable from some quarters.

    But is the U.S. government vitally concerned with the welfare of the Ukrainian people? Of course not. It is concerned about containing Russian power and influence. Who has the interest of the Ukrainian people at heart? The Ukrainian Catholic Church, for one. In the most significant development during the month of April (one almost entirely ignored by the media), the Patriarch of the Ukrainian Catholic Church, His Beatitude Svatioslav, re-consecrated his nation to the Blessed Virgin Mary. (See: “The Act of placing Ukraine under the Intercession of the Blessed Mother”.)

    He reminded his nation – and the world, if it cared to listen – that history is in the hands of God. What secular leaders do may have grave consequences, but those consequences will be directly proportional to whether they have acted according to Heaven’s will or their own presumed wisdom. His Beatitude also reminded us of our own responsibility for the larger happenings in the world for which we may believe we bear no responsibility.

    He said the consecration of Ukraine to Our Lady must happen alongside a consecration of each individual life to Our Lady. We must participate in such a consecration, he stressed, if we hope to receive Our Lady’s blessing and help for the nation. The same is true in the matter of the consecration of Russia to Our Lady of Fatima. We must further the consecration not only by urging our Church leaders to obey Our Lady’s request, but by conforming our lives to what Our Lady has asked of each and every one of us: to pray the daily Rosary, perform the First Saturday devotions and make sacrifices for the conversion of sinners.

    It is easy to scapegoat our leaders — in Church or state — for their failures, but we must acknowledge our own responsibility for the problems we face as an international community. If we sanctify our lives, the channels of grace may flow in unexpected directions, influencing events in the world at large. And we should not presume, as does John Kerry, to know what constitutes the best possible outcome in any situation. All is in the hands of God, as the patriarch of Ukraine has reminded us.

    Should Russia take control of greater portions of her former empire that may not necessarily be undesirable. A strange thing is happening with Vladimir Putin and, one may be permitted to think, with the national mood of the Russian people. Putin is stressing Russia’s past as a Christian nation at every opportunity and urging a return to the moral values of Christendom (see: “The Message of Fatima: Ignore It at Your Peril”).

    If Russia is to be Heaven’s instrument for either the chastisement or salvation of the world, we do not know how Providence may prepare us for that eventuality. We do know that Russia will eventually be consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary by the Pope and the bishops of the Catholic Church and that peace will be granted to the world. To what extent the world will have to suffer until that happens is unknown. It has been placed in our hands. So we must do all we can to conform our lives to the Fatima Message and to urge those capable of performing the consecration to act without further delay. The situation in the Ukraine may mark the beginning of a greater chastisement that could engulf the world.

    We must work and pray ever more fervently that the Holy Father and the bishops will heed the requests of Our Lady of Fatima. (See: Petition to Our Holy Father — The Consecration of Russia and Petition to Our Holy Father — The Release of the full Third Secret.)

    We must also keep informed. Read the recent “Fatima Perspectives” articles listed below.

    A New, New Mass? Let’s Pray Not!
    An announcement that elicited little media comment may have large consequences for the Catholic Church and the deepening crises She faces. On April 1, Pope Francis signed a declaration to work on a new “Ecumenical English Missal”. One might wish this were an April Fool’s joke, but it is quite real. (See: “Pope sanctions ‘Ecumenical Missal’: this is really big news”.)

    The group designated to produce a Missal acceptable for use in both Catholic and Protestant worship consists of four people: Pope Francis and three Protestant “bishops” — two of whom are women. The announcement was made on the feast of St. Theodora, a woman saint, to which some attached significance, suggesting this was the Pope’s way of announcing that women will have a larger role in important matters in the Church (even Protestant women pretending to be bishops?).

    The Novus Ordo Missae — the New Mass of Pope Paul VI — has been a source of confusion and a vehicle for heterodoxy for almost a half-century. Under Pope Benedict, some had hoped for a return to liturgical sanity, that is, a return to the Traditional Latin Mass. There seemed reason for such hope with the wider use of the Latin Mass granted by Summorum Pontificum. But Pope Francis has, from the start, shown himself inimical to the Traditional Latin Mass, as most notably evidenced in his suppression of its use by the Friars of the Immaculate.

    Now, the Holy Father has initiated a project designed to produce a new Missal that will necessarily avoid any doctrinal statement or scriptural interpretation that conflicts with the Protestant rejection of Transubstantiation and the Real Presence. When these elements are removed from the Mass, there is no Mass!

    What we so desperately need in the Church now is not a new Missal, but a return to clarity and emphasis in dogma (see: “If We Lose Dogma, We Lose Our Soul”). And the Mass is where the faithful see dogma expressed in worship: lex orandi, lex credendi — we pray as we believe. If we pray in a Protestant manner, can we avoid believing in a Protestant way?

    We must pray that this does not happen. That means we must, as Our Lady of Fatima has urged us to do, pray for the Holy Father.

    Latest Fatima Perspectives
    The Message of Fatima: Ignore It at Your Peril — Recent alarming developments in the Crimea and Ukraine have made it clear that, thirty years after John Paul II’s failed attempt to consecrate Russia without mentioning Russia, “that poor nation” as Sister Lucy called it, remains at the center of the world events prophesied in the Message of Fatima.

    We Must Love the Truth — St. Paul tells us that a love of the truth is foundational, as a necessary condition, to the spiritual life. The seduction of error and sin, he says, gets all its power over souls from this one cause, that they do not have a love of the truth.
