Trump says U.S. military ready if North Korea's Kim acts foolishly

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Donald Trump, speaking on Thursday after canceling a summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, said the U.S. military stood ready if Kim were to take any “foolish” action.

American forces are “ready if necessary,” Trump said at a White House bill signing event.

    Wrong.

The reason for the collapse of the Peace Talks is because of the remarks of the Neocon warmonger and chickenhawk John Bolton who said North Korea would follow the fate of Libya if they didn’t disarm. Pence then echoed those remarks. Trump would have gone down as the President who ended Korean War without firing a shot if he had charted a genuine America First foreign policy with North Korea from the start. Instead, he followed the advice of the Neocons (or is one himself), and scuttled the chance for Peace. China played an important role in bringing Kim to the negotiating table in the first place, not Trump.

And you are wrong about Reagan. He wasn’t a Neocon and Reagan learned from his foreign policy mistakes. The Neocons weaseled into power only after Reagan. Reagan (and Nixon for that matter) kept the Neocons in check. Had Reagan been around today he would have been charged with “Russia collusion” and being a “Putin sympathizer” for his efforts to end the Cold War. Comparing Trump to Reagan is obscene.

  3. Winning isn't getting boring at all....but actually disappointing for those who hate Trump and America....can you imagine, there are those who hope for failure when it comes to Trump's attempts to make things safer for Americans and the world. They appear to actually desire failure and just remain sitting ducks for destruction:

JUST IN=> North Korean Regime Still Open to Talks with US

Here is the full DPRK statement from KCNA on the #Trump cancellation:
    – North Korea is still willing to sit down at any time
    – The U.S. decision is not in line with the “ideals of mankind” and was unexpected by North Korea considering the preparations

North Korea announced it was still open to talks with the United States.

KCNA: North Korea says Pres. Trump's decision to cancel summit in Singapore was unexpected, regime is still willing to meet with the U.S. in the future

She embarrasses herself more each time but I doubt if that even matters to such unthinking shouters any longer.

Personally, I think the entire thing is a show. NK is only worried about saving face as all heathen cultures are in the face of their enemies. They push back, meet the wall and then pull back just a little with outstretched hand to show their magnanimity.
It will work out in a way which is beneficial to all. We already have hostages back, nuclear site destroyed and no more missile tests over our allies nations so what more do we really need?
NK and SK could call an end to the war officially and declare their mutual undertaking of unification and prosperity and it could potentially not involve us in the least. Mission accomplished, face saved etc etc.

  7. Rather clever comment from:

Pelosi: Kim Jong Un ‘Must Be Having a Giggle Fit’ Over Cancelled Summit

    Dr. Wambulance Silverquick

Pelosium: A major research institution has just announced the discovery of the densest element yet known to science. The new element has been named Pelosium. Pelosium has one neutron, 12 assistant neutrons, 75 deputy neutrons, and 224 assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 311.

These particles are held together by dark forces called morons, which are surrounded by vast quantities of lepton-like particles called peons.

The symbol of Pelosium is PU.

Pelosium's mass actually increases over time, as morons randomly interact with various elements in the atmosphere and become assistant deputy neutrons within the Pelosium molecule, leading to the formation of isodopes.

This characteristic of moron-promotion leads some scientist to believe that Pelosium is formed whenever morons reach a certain quantity in concentration. This hypothetical quantity is referred to as Critical Morass. When catalyzed with money, Pelosium activates CNNadnausium, an element that radiates orders of magnitude more energy, albeit as incoherent noise, since it has half as many peons but twice as many morons as Pelosium.

    Nope.

Trump was elected to restore positive relations with Russia. Instead, he has continued and escalated the Neocon foreign policy of Clinton-Bush-Obama. Nothing has changed. Trump has in fact continued the Neocon hostility towards Russia by continuing the sanctions and providing money and arms to the Neo-Nazi regime currently occupying Kiev. Trump ran on a very different foreign policy during the campaign than the one he immediately assumed upon entering office. His foreign policy went south beginning with his April 2017 cruise missile attack on Assad which was based on a pack of lies and pushed by the Neocon Kushner.

  10. Nothing has changed. (from the Clinton-Bush-Obama era....your choice for point)

Well, that has clinched it for you.....you may now be awarded your diploma in "Never Trumpianism" where not much rational thinking is required. Congrats!

Richard perhaps all this is true but don't let the perfect be the enemy if the good. He is defunding planned parenthood and doing many other solid prolife measures like protecting conscience clauses. Keep praying for him. He may get there yet.

I was a “Never Trumper” before the election. I didn’t trust him. He was a New York City liberal elite, unfaithful pro abort as far as I was concerned, who only turned “pro life” to get the conservative vote, just like Mit Romney. Pictures of him chumming with the Clintons at his wedding sealed it for me. I voted for a pro life third party candidate.

But I’ve been pleasantly surprised. On pro life issues, he’s put “his money where his mouth is.” He’s the most ardently pro life president America has ever seen, backing up real pro life and Christian rhetoric with solid pro life actions.

I’d vote for him in 2020 with no scruples whatsoever.

Never Trumpers need to get over their egos and open their eyes to what this president has accomplished, and just how much he has kept his promises. And pray for him. He’s got a big target on his back.

Trust but verify. I look at actions and not words or rhetoric. We’ll see if he really does anything substantial on abortion or is just another RINO reshuffling the deck. A predictable tactic of the Neocon-RINO crowd is to tinker around the edges on abortion in order to keep true America-First conservatives from opposing the Neocon foreign policy agenda. I saw this tactic during the Bush years and during Ryan’s tenure.

North Korea Comes Crawling Back: Stresses "Desperate Need" For Summit "Whenever, However"
Update: As if the earlier begging was not enough, it appears Kim wants to make sure that President Trump is aware of his efforts and desire to meet.

Yonhap reports that North Korea's state media said Friday the demolition of its only known nuclear test site has demonstrated its "peace-loving" efforts and pursuit of a "total halt" to nuclear tests.

As we detailed yesterday, North Korea officially demolished the test-site overnight, inviting a number of reporters to witness the event.

    View attachment 7967

And today, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said in English.

"The dismantlement of the nuclear test ground is a vivid manifestation of the DPRK government's fixed peace-loving stand to join in the international aspiration and efforts for total halt to the nuclear test and make positive contribution to building a nuclear free world,"

The KCNA added that the demolition of the tunnels and other surrounding facilities, including a communications center, power systems and observation centers, was carried out "completely" and "with transparency."

    * * *

It appears that Trump "jilted North Korean lover" approach may have been just what the doctor ordered.

Literally minutes after we said that most experts expected a violent, angry outburst from North Korea's president in response to Trump's unexpected cancellation of the Singapore June 12 summit, such as this comment from Senator Jack Reed...

Spoke w/ @BloombergTV’s @kevcirilli about Pres Trump pulling out of planned nuclear summit w/ North Korea & how if Pres Trump had taken a more considered approach to Mr. Kim’s initial offer for a summit, we wouldn’t be in this position.https://www.bloomberg.com/news/videos/2018-05-24/sen-reed-reacts-to-scrapped-u-s-north-korea-summit-video …

... a shocked North Korea is virtually begging for a meeting.

In a statement issued by state-run Korean Central News Agency, citing Vice Foreign Minister Kim Kye Gwan, North Korea announced it was willing to sit with the U.S. "whenever, however" through any method to try to resolve the outstanding issues.

Gwan said that whereas President Trump’s announcement to one-sidedly cancel the planned summit is unexpected and very regrettable, "North Korea's goal and will to do everything for peace and stability of the Korean peninsula and mankind remains unchanged, and we are always willing to give time and opportunity to the US side with a big and open mind,” according to the statement. He added that "We express our intent that there is a willingness to sit at any time, in any way to resolve issues" and noted that President Trump's decision to cancel the summit is "not what the world wants" and the summit is necessary to resolve the current hostile bilateral relationship.

Furthermore, North Korea appears to be backtracking on the recent diplomatic escalation and has effectively apologized, stating that "its previous remarks regarding the U.S.-North Korea summit had been in protest against strong US remarks towards North."

While we await the full KCNA statement, here are the key bullet points courtesy of Reuters and Bloomberg:

    • NORTH KOREA SAYS TRUMP'S SUMMIT CANCELLATION IS UNEXPECTED
    • NORTH KOREA SAYS IT'S WILLING TO MEET WITH U.S. AT ANY TIME
    • NORTH KOREA SAYS IT IS STILL WILLING TO RESOLVE ISSUES WITH UNITED STATES WHENEVER, HOWEVER
    • NORTH KOREA SAYS U.S.-N.KOREA SUMMIT IS NECESSARY TO RESOLVE CURRENT HOSTILE BILATERAL RELATIONSHIP
    • NORTH KOREA SAYS IT HAD WISHED `TRUMP MODEL' COULD RESOLVE ISSUES
    • NORTH KOREA SAYS IT HAD HOPED FOR ISSUES REGARDING N.KOREA TO BE RESOLVED "TRUMP-STYLE"
    • NORTH KOREA SAYS NO CHANGE IN N. KOREA'S WILL TO DO BEST FOR PEACE
    • NORTH KOREA SAYS ITS PREVIOUS REMARKS REGARDING U.S.-N.KOREA SUMMIT HAD BEEN IN PROTEST AGAINST STRONG U.S. REMARKS TOWARDS NORTH
    • N.KOREA HAS WILLINGNESS TO GIVE CHANCE, TIME TO U.S.
    • NORTH KOREA HAS WILLINGNESS TO GIVE CHANCE, TIME TO U.S.
    And the punchline:

    • NORTH KOREA SAYS CURRENT SITUATION REFLECTS DESPARATE NEED FOR SUMMIT
Or, to summarize North Korea's response to Trump's "dear John" letter:

    North Korea right now

Gohmert on Canceled Summit: Kim Jong Un Will ‘Come Back Begging’
    24 May 2018

Thursday on Fox Business Network’s “Varney & Company,” Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) said North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un will eventually “come back begging” after President Donald Trump canceled the June 12 North Korea-U.S. summit.

Gohmert said, “Oh, listen, let me tell you, it won’t be off permanently because North Korea is going to find out now what he didn’t realize was that Trump was serious about. There will be a price that North Korea will pay and Donald Trump will lead us in — in getting that price for them and then it will be the North Korean leader that will come back begging to have some kind of talk.”

He added, “I think it is immediately taking steps to — well, just like Trump is talking about with Iran, putting the toughest sanctions they can imagine, turning up the heat even more on China — you know, there is a lot of things we can do that, to put the heat on China. For example, if we go bankrupt here in the United States, then China immediately falls, and there is a big revolution there in China and those people in charge are run out on a rail. So, they don’t have quite the leverage they think they have, and Trump is going to use all the leverage we’ve got. He, I’m so proud. He is president now; Hillary is not. We’re not going to rush over there and give them bigger and better nukes, if they’ll just promise not to use them. That is what Hillary would be doing if she were president.”

I think China is playing with us, because they know we are stuck. We should have partnered with Russia from day one, in order to get China to back off. We would have been a stronger nation, if we avoided all these wars. Experts for years told us China would never reach to the same high standards the U.S. had for innovation in technology, weapons, etc. But they have, we helped them get there. And they have the money to continue, but we are broke. Just the other day, I heard the Pentagon is asking for billions because we have very few bombs. I mean what is that all about? We don't have manufacturing facilities to make bombs anymore? The summit is a joke. How can anyone negotiate with a strong, vibrant, communist nation like China? They don't need us, as much as we need them. Richard, you can't compare today's China to Reagans Soviet Union. The roles have changed. The U.S. is the Soviet Union today. We over extended ourselves. Did ya get that Carol?

On another subject, I was very glad to hear that President Trump made that following statements at the Pro-Life Gala this past Tuesday,

Trump, speaking at pro-life gala, urges supporters to vote 'for life,' GOP
    Matt Richardson May 23, 2018 https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/poli...ote-for-life-gop/ar-AAxFnGN#image=AAxFnGN_1|1

President Trump makes the keynote address at the Susan B. Anthony List's eleventh annual 'Campaign for Life' gala.

President Trump on Tuesday night urged pro-life supporters to keep control of Congress in the hands of Republicans this November by voting "for life."

Speaking at the Susan B. Anthony List’s annual "Campaign for Life Gala" on Tuesday night, the president slammed Democrats and pushed for continued GOP control, adding that "Democrats like to campaign as moderates at election time but when they go to Washington they always vote for the radical (Nancy) Pelosi agenda down the line."

The comments followed an initiative announced last week by the Trump administration geared toward resurrecting a rule banning federally funded family-planning clinics from discussing abortion with patients.

Trump noted his push during the 2016 presidential campaign to defund Planned Parenthood.

"When I ran for office I pledged to stand with life and that’s exactly what I’ve done," Trump said Tuesday. "For the first time since Roe v. Wade, America has a pro-life president, a pro-life vice president, a pro-life House of Representatives and 25 pro-life Republican state capitals.

"We know that every life has meaning and that every life is totally worth protecting," he continued. "When we stand for life we stand for the true source of America’s greatness – it’s our people. Our people are great."

The move to ban the abortion talk, Planned Parenthood has claimed, would serve as a "gag rule."

"The end result would make it impossible for women to come to Planned Parenthood, who are counting on us every day," Dawn Laguens, the organization's executive vice president, stated. But the Trump administration said Planned Parenthood can still receive Title X grants if it keeps the family-planning money separate from funds used to pay for abortions.

"This proposal does not necessarily defund Planned Parenthood, as long as they’re willing to disentangle taxpayer funds from abortion as a method of family planning," an administration official told Fox News.

"We’re also seeking passage of the 20-week abortion bill which would end painful, late-term abortions nationwide," the president said at the event. "Democrats in the senate are doing everything in their power to block it."

"On this issue, like so many issues," Trump continued, "the Democratic party is far outside of the mainstream.

"We will be appealing to voters all across America who previously sent a Democrat to Washington only to discover they elected a proxy vote for Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi," Trump said.

The Trump administration’s recent pro-life activity will likely affect the elections this year, both sides have argued.

"It's going to cost this administration at the ballot box in November," Planned Parenthood Federation of America's Kevin Griffis said.

Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the anti-abortion Susan B. Anthony List, meantime, said the move "will help tremendously" in the midterms.

"As long we have faith in our citizens, confidence in our values and trust in our God then we will never, ever fail," Trump said. "Our nation will thrive, our people will prosper and America will be greater than before. So this November, vote for family, vote for values, vote for country and vote for life."

Marc Thiessen: Trump is proving to be the most fearlessly pro-life president in history
WASHINGTON -- President Trump's critics were apoplectic last week when the president referred to MS-13 gang members as "animals." Of course, no one should be dehumanized. Yet many of the same people expressing outrage that Trump would dehumanize vicious gang members have no problem dehumanizing innocent, unborn children.

Trump has stood up for the humanity of the unborn child like no president in recent memory. And this is why so many Christian conservatives stick with him. Witness the foot-stomping standing ovation the president received Tuesday night at the annual Campaign for Life gala of the pro-life Susan B. Anthony List. Not only was Trump reportedly the first president to address this incredible organization in its 26-year history, he used the occasion to deliver on yet another pro-life promise, one that his Republican predecessors could not, or would not, fulfill: He announced a new rule to stop indirect taxpayer funding of abortion through the Title X family planning program.
