I believe he is trying to protect timid and weak souls from scandal. He is a good priest who loves God very much. We are all human and figuring things out, while God intervenes with patience and love. He sees our hearts and wills. This good priest is not lost.

I have read this before, but man, it breaks my heart. We must do more!

Yes. Sadly he is. But God will have to show that to him.

I've been praying to God to bring my own son home who has been lost for some time, and now I find myself praying to God to bring home one of His own shepherds.

  5. This is so interesting....the location of the statute being near where Pope Francis was bishop and being stripped of the symbols of papacy could mean that Pope Francis is only Bishop Bergoglio.

It reminds me so much of what the Sacred Heart said to Saint Margaret Mary..such haunting words!

"Behold the Heart which has so loved men that it has spared nothing, even to exhausting and consuming Itself, in order to testify Its love; and in return, I receive from the greater part only ingratitude, by their irreverence and sacrilege, and by the coldness and contempt they have for Me in this Sacrament of Love.

"we saw an Angel with a flaming sword in his left hand; flashing, it gave out flames that looked as though they would set the world on fire; but they died out in contact with the splendour that Our Lady radiated towards him from her right hand: pointing to the earth with his right hand, the Angel cried out in a loud voice: ‘Penance, Penance, Penance!'

And we saw in an immense light that is God: ‘something similar to how people appear in a mirror when they pass in front of it' a Bishop dressed in White ‘we had the impression that it was the holy father'."

What happened to that statue is astonishing.......

That's like asking, while watching from afar the Good Friday goings on, if I thought the 10 Apostles who ran away in fear were lukewarm. How would I know that? But I think it's definitely fair to say they were afraid. And right now, I am not ashamed to say I am afraid. Father Mark is one who has promoted reading the catechism etc etc etc. He is likely under pressure right now that as a laywoman I cannot even fathom. So is he lukewarm?? You tell me. I never said he was.

Someone like Bishop Barron, on the other hand, has a whole empire at stake, and has said there's nothing to see here. He came up through the "Chicago machine", was in fact ordained by the notorious Cardinal. He knows how to play the political games....

Father Goring has stated straight out he did not become a priest to go to hell. Hopefully, he will soon take a step back (ie: stop digging) to regroup.

Good Father Mark believes in Akita and quotes extensively from it.

Akita predicted that the church would be full of those who accept compromises.

It’s absolutely amazing that he doesn’t realize he’s doing just that!

Not only that. Our Blessed Mother appeared there in the 80’s; through her apparitions a statue of our lady of the Rosary carrying the Christ child was rediscovered and a new basilica was built with pilgrimages and healings. It was another continuation of the Fatima message of praying Rosary and penance. It was approved obviously since the built a church st the site.

I don't know who this gentleman is, but he certainly does not hold back anything on his opinion of Fr. Goring. I think he makes a good point when he suggested that Fr. Mark stop talking, he is in fact digging himself deeper into a big hole. Father is very much caught up in the social media circus surrounding the document, perhaps taking a step back would be helpful. He has that little chapel in the wilderness, if I were his mother I would tell him he needs to spend some time there in prayer.:D

Does anyone have news about Father Jim Blount in the midst of this "violent hurricane" in the church? I read the news that he was sick a few months ago.

He's doing no such thing. He has said over and over he will not bless sinful relationships. He's simply doing his best to maintain unity in the church. Something many on this forum are not doing. If God is going to bless anyone with this current situation it'll be people like father mark. Not those cursing out every priest and bishop that dont respond in the exact manner that they think they should.

“Remain in the deep silence of God's embrace in perfect trust in the God who loves you, praying for the conversion of sinners and the salvation of so many in danger of hell, and your God who remains faithful to the cry of the poor will bless your prayers. This must now become your daily life.” Maybe this is what Fr Blount is doing. Preparing his soul to what’s to come.

Erich - we understand completely what you are trying to say. And it’s what I feel Fr Mark is trying to do. But the doctrine proposed is not about blessing only individuals. That’s why most of us are in shock. Especially those of us who have children today. It’s confusing. So, we need our priests to stand against it. The time has come to defend the Church. And we must help our priests. They need to know we will back them if they are kicked out of the Church.

Yes, this is the apparition where Mary said mankind was hanging by a thread....back in the 80s...
