I feel the same AED. I have mentioned this in a previous post, but I will say it again because I sense the vaccine issue has created a bit of a division among us, and there is tension in the air. I think it is very important for anyone on this forum who has said that they've received the vaccine, to understand that we are not here to criticize their decision. We are all in unique situations, and I would not want something like this to cause hard feelings between us.
Beautifully said Jo. Me either. We have to do this according to what our own inner voice tells us. My sister who has great health challenges and recently lost her husband and has been isolated from her children because of this virus is going forward with vax.. Her MD told her he had done it and it was risk vs risk analysis but after what he had seen he felt the horror of the disease was a worse risk. He urged her to get it. There is a case for both sides and to be honest I am sorely inclined to do it (we must call Monday for appointments) but still going with my "gut". (Novovax sounds very promising.) That is good news.

Two of my sisters are in a similar situation. In fact all my siblings and some other close relatives are high risk To make matters worse, I will be called to drive one of my sisters to the clinic and could be sitting beside her as she gets the jab. If any of them gets the virus after being vaccinated it's hard to see how they wouldn't pass it on to me. I don't get inner voices so have to rely on my conscience, hoping that there isn't a tinge of pride or self-righteousness to my determination. I'm on day 2 of Fr. Dolindo's surrender novena. Hoping that by the end of the nine days I will have the grace to be able to say it without any lingering, deep seated doubts.

He glossed over the reason why earlier attempts to get a corona virus vaccine were abandoned. He doesn't seem to know the reason and speculated that it's because the SARS virus died out. He also doesn't seem to know whether a vaccinated person who gets the virus can be infectious to others. I'm going to get one of those gadgets for measuring blood oxygen levels. Tried to buy one last year but they were sold out. The advice he gave on that is very important, especially about seeking hospital treatment before it's too late.
First of all, Donna, I wasn't referring to a "ferret study" or any other study so I don't know what you're talking about. The fact is that he didn't know why the attempt to get a vaccine was dropped and he speculated as to the reason. He wasn't at all clear about vaccinated people being infectious. Wasn't his initial response to that question something along the lines of "studies are ongoing"? Sure he went on to say that people testing positive should take precautions but his initial response indicated that it has yet to be determined whether they will be infectious. I gave an honest opinion on the video. If you want to treat him as infallible, go right ahead. Just don't expect me to follow suit. I'm editing this to add that I don't buy the conspiracy theories. I also don't feel obligated to swallow everything I hear about the vaccine being a harmless wonder drug. I prefer to wait and make up my mind when all the hype has died down.
You are entitled to your opinion. No one knows the long term effects of Mrna vaccines. Professor Dolores Cahill is a world renowned immunologist. Her opinion is not conspiracy nor is it junk. It is her hypothesis that the vaccine has been rushed bypassing animal trials straight to humans. She contends that trouble lies ahead based upon evidence of previous failure of Mrna vaccines in animal trials. Well, as a result of my post above about the video, I've received a pm headed "Why are you so nasty" and the message went on to tell me what a nasty person I am. So, let me make it clear that I don't consider it any of my business if others here do or don't take the vaccine. I'm also not convinced about Dolores Cahill's warnings about the vaccine - not because I doubt her sincerity or qualifications but because I think she may be missing some vital information. That's it. I bear no ill feelings towards anyone who disagrees with me. What use is a discussion forum where differing opinions are suspected of being ill intentioned or treated as personal attacks?
Yes. For example, if I had heard that aborted babies are used in the development of vaccines, it didn't register with me until I read about it on this forum. I've been vaccinated against all sorts and it never crossed my mind to ask a question beforehand other than "will it hurt?". The handling of the covid crisis from the beginning is the reason I'm alert now to how experts respond to questions. That they don't give a clear enough answer doesn't mean they are covering up something bad. It could be down to poor communication skills, a temporary lapse of memory or maybe it's something they are 99 percent sure will be OK but are waiting for some supporting statistic to be confirmed. At the same time, just because some people see a conspiracy around every corner doesn't mean that conspiracies never happen.
I agree that his advice to buy a pulse oximeter is a very good idea. We bought one, and it was money well spent, and yes, get to the ER right away.
You know Dolours I was afraid that this would happen, I was hoping we could share our opinions peacefully. I am sorry to hear this happened, it is very disappointing.
I searched everywhere for one last year but couldn't get one. The only thermometer we had in the house would take a magnifying glass to read it. I did manage to get a fancy thermometer but never managed to get the oxygen reader. I forgot all about it until the doctor in the video mentioned it. I had heard of someone in the US who died from covid. He had been very ill at home but wouldn't go to the hospital and when they finally got him to the hospital it was too late to save him.
Wow, that was very powerful and it is what I pray in reparation for the sins of abortion in my Chaplet of mercy and rosaries. I have felt from the diary that this is what the chastisement was about-abortion! Our politicians do not realize what they are calling down upon themselves and their countries. What was one of the great errors of Russia that would be spread throughout the world-abortion. This is an important video, short and a must watch!
I think it’s important to stress that this pandemic is not going away for a reason. Padraig has said before that it’s because of the sin of abortion. God’s ways are not our ways. Look at the background of how scientific research has progressed in an ungodly direction, and people have not repented.
