I would like this 6000 times if I could Border Collie. He has no power without us at all. This winds him right up! The closer we get to God and allow His grace to fill our lives, the more we detach from our weaknesses. The idiot downstairs knows he has lost the soul that contemplates God's love on the Cross. I regularly spend time doing this and I contemplate God's love for me, then I hear Him saying, "Now, love as I love you". What a challenge! I can get through anything when I contemplate God's love for me. This is also known as hiding under His wings.

well, if you have to choose between elitism and marxism the answer is obvious. And I do not think that marxist labour is in reality any more friend of Ireland than Thatcher. The social issues are very important, however, they are not the core of marxist grip over a person - and the main is total dependence ( to the point of ownership ) of individual by the government. Only when you do not have ANY rights because they are either allowed or not by the government one can realize that "they are not all the same"

I think the basic mistake Governments, political parties and others are making is the implicit view that Society /Government can take the place of God and so lead man to a new Utopia. The central mistake they make is firstly that they do not believe God really exists in any meaningful way and secondly that they do not believe man is fallen , in a state of sin and require God's grace to save him. This of course leads to a collision with both believers and religion itself, which will of course lead to persecution as it has done in the past.The perfect example of this of course is North Korea where the Government is, 'God' and the Party Leader the , 'Messiah'.

Trust me, i am no Obama supporter. Far far from it. However, he is not the agressor in the North Korea situation. I guess he could just leave the South Korean people be nuked by the North and the US just stand by and do nothing, after we have pleged our support to them for many decades now in the quest for their desired freedom from Communism. Obama has no choice in the matter, unless he wants to be a pacifist and buckle to every evil power. This is a hard one people. Does America, who is the only free world capable of defending the smaller free world countries, just sit by and let it happen? Not so black and white as far as I am concerned.
Insearch, they are trampling all over the poor and the needy, the sick and the infirm. We have a responsibility to those too. Yes, we have a problem with those who do not want to work. But the sick and the vulnerable shouldn't be punished for this. Those with cancer are being forced back out to work, many people who are ill have been told that they are fit for work. It is appalling what is going on behind the scenes. You know, I didn't vote labour because of their ungodly issues. But the tories are pushing for same sex marriage just as hard. There are a lot of similarities between them. Atheism (the mother of communism) has swept in to the hearts of most. And communistic ideas. How long do you think it will be before the unemployed are told that they cannot have children whilst they are unemployed?
I was just hearing there that the Minister for Tax, the guy responsible for catching tax evaders was himself caught hiding away dough from the tax inspectors. Also President Hollande's Campaign Manager has been caught hiding away 1/2 a mill in the Seychelles. This after Hollande got elected on a campaign to clean up corruption. The French people are beyond fury at all this. I also heard that the Ukrainian police are now the biggest drug dealers in the country. On one city the entire police anti drug Squad were arrested for opium dealing. The police are openly running cannabis farms. And are harrassing drug addicts who attend methadone programs and the Doctors, nurses and others who try to rehabilitate drug users as it is damaging their buisness. Scandal after scandal, corruption after corruption in all levels and sections of society. Much of it from politicians who most condemn it and sections of the media who expose it. I have to say my hope is not in man but in God....
