  1. I have been uneasy...been praying and put it in God's hands. I am just waiting for the floor to drop out.

Prevost was a 10-year-old child when the council concluded in 1965. It would be interesting to find out whether his understanding of a synodal Church stems from an ecclesiology learned during that time. The council fostered what would be institutionalized nearly 60 years later.

The reason why we are to have the Great Sign and Illumination of Conscience is that Satan has seized control of the Vatican, these heavenly interventions are to end this and break the neck of Satan. It's the only way to stop this. They have gained too much power. There is no human way to stop them now. They own the show.

Please don't close the forum. I don't think you have committed any sin by sharing your concerns.

Apparently demons have told various exorcists that their time is very short now and they are getting in a panic about it. However I don't think God will intervene until the right time. We have to go a ways more downhill yet.

These events will occur at the very moment when it looks like the devil has won everything. But we have only to look around us to se we are getting very, very close to that moment.

So Padraig give just one thing you don’t like about our new Pope? Just one, not a whole list. Not a quote from someone else or some kind of prophesy, but from you. Wondering.

Let’s see what appointments Leo XIV will make in the coming months—whether he will reappoint Parolin as Secretary of State, for instance, which could confirm many rumors that Parolin cast his votes in favor of Prevost. In any case, since the conciliatory candidate won, a mixed bag is expected when it comes to the appointment of cardinals and bishops. Let’s wait and see.

Some articles in Portuguese suggest that Prevost may have chosen his papal name as a reference to the friendship between Saint Francis of Assisi and Brother Leo, thus signaling, in a way, a continuity with the legacy of the previous pope. I must admit that this possibility had never crossed my mind.

That he wore traditional garb was a good sign to me.

Another noteworthy point is that he has delivered strongly Christocentric homilies at the beginning of his pontificate. In his first Angelus, Francis cited a book by Cardinal Kasper, thus signaling that he was a progressive. I didn’t see anything similar during the first Regina Caeli led by Leo XIV, but in any case, it’s good to stay attentive in the coming weeks.

Can you imagine the pressure he is feeling? To be scrutinized in every word and action? I don’t know how he can sleep at night. To have people digging into his past for every little word? I will be praying that he can hold up to it. And that he keeps his health and mind strong.
I’ve already seen quotes on FB that are fabricated. Got to get out the big guns for him, the rosary. I will pray for him in front of the Holy Face.

I have to say that Inknow nothing about our new Pope and I have not heard much that gave me any reason for concern. In fact I heard that many years ago he had been given special privilege to say the traditional mass alone. What has caused the abandonment of your wait and see approach Padriag and your very strong reaction to the point of putting the forum on the line?

I haven’t posted anything here about what Prevost said when he was a cardinal, but I have indeed been following what he’s been doing since he became pope, as that indicates the path he intends to follow. In fact, I previously mentioned that he has made an extremely Christocentric start to his pontificate in his homilies. However, what I said on the very first day is that the mention of a synodal Church is concerning, as it recalls the disastrous path of fragmentation and modernity—something many Anglicans have been warning us about, having experienced it within their own Church. I also posted earlier about the coincidence of the election taking place on May 8th, the feast of St. Michael, who is closely associated with Leo XIV, as well as the possibility that the name "Leo" may be an indirect reference to the continuation of Francis’ legacy, especially since Prevost himself mentioned yesterday that he intends to carry on the previous pope’s legacy. All of this is difficult to interpret, as it seemingly points to conflicting directions.

Yes. Every word of this. Sometimes I wish all the commentators and pundits would just be silent and pray, so that we could hear from our Holy Father his own words, watch his actions for ourselves, and take all things to prayer, just us and God, in the stillness where He speaks.

    Spot on, PF.
God put His own spirit into each one of us. That's as much to ponder His word to us in freedom as it is a boundary against the encroachment of other spirits into us.
